I'd identify that as a dissociative response. Even if he wanted to cry, already there are layers of shame, guilt, feeling miserable at his responsibility for causing her death.
He cried talking about the actors yes, but if he emotionally went to the place where he killed someone - he would be absolutely weeping and sobbing - along with guilt and shame. (Not pretty for camera)
Whether he dissociated from that or not, I don't know.

His Union camera workers had walked off the set. He brought on scab workers. The armorer was not allowed in the Church due to COVID regulations. He was under immense professional pressure. I can’t relate to the guy at all. I hit a deer with my car, I wasn’t speeding, I wasn’t driving like an idiot, it was dark and he ran out from the darkness straight in front of me. I slammed on my brakes and prevented a head on hit, but still clipped him with the corner of my car. He ran off, I have no idea if he lived. I felt horrible. Could it have been prevented? Yeah I suppose if I had left my last destination 5 minutes earlier/later, drove well under the speed limit, stayed home altogether. Unless I blame myself for not being clairvoyant, I don’t think I could have been conscious of an actual prevention in those few seconds. I still feel bad and this was almost 2 years ago.
Had I shot and killed someone even by total accident, that would eat me alive the rest of my life. Especially if I could have prevented it by one simple action. Had he checked to make sure it wasn’t loaded, it would have ended with him chewing someone out for handing him a loaded gun and this woman would have went home to her family. I don’t believe him when he says he wasn’t allowed to check. Other actors have come out saying the opposite. He says then he would have to give it back to the armorer if he checked, they would inspect it and then hand it back to him again. And so?? That would take all of a minute or two. Better that than shoot someone right? Any extra safety precautions you could employ is never a bad idea when using firearms. He violated 2 of the biggest rules in gun safety. He should never assume a gun is unloaded, he should check. He also shouldn’t be pointing it at a person especially when he didn’t use his own 2 eyes to verify that gun was unloaded. He should be feeling horrible about that, if he wasn’t a narcissistic sociopath. Of course he absolves himself of any wrongdoing by saying he wasn’t allowed to check the gun, which I think is total bs. I also don’t believe he didn’t pull the trigger. I’m not saying he loaded the bullet and shot her on purpose. He could have been frustrated about what she was asking him to do, you know he’s got that nasty temper, he pulled the trigger assuming it wasn’t loaded just to blow off a little steam.
Some say he was probably advised not to admit guilt because that could imply he did something wrong or illegal. Guilt doesn’t just manifest in that way, he can say that he feels guilty about an accident that he didn’t mean without incriminating himself. He can just say he feels terrible. He doesn’t want to do that because it implies he could have changed the outcome, even though I’ve addressed feeling guilt even when it’s out of your hands. However if he’s the kind of person I think he is, it doesn’t surprise me he wouldn’t feel any responsibility because the mental disorder I’m conjecturing he has does not allow him to do so.

A 45 long colt which i believe is what was in it has a big recoil. I've got a pistol that shoots them and man does it kick. I've also got a single action like he was using and in order to fire a round you pull that hammer back and pull the trigger. Unless he was snapping the hammer with his thumb and let it go too fast and hard that would fire a round but still as someone who's been around guns my entire life, I'm 41 and owns several who also remembers over the years hearing about Alec's temper, I'm going with he got tired of this woman who he viewed as not important and not even the main director talking to him telling him how to do his job and he thought well I'll snap this at her and that'll shut her up. Remember years ago he called his daughter all sorts of names, he's gone off on photographers and on sets before; he has a short fuse and this time it really caught up with him. Unfortunately his temper cost someone their life and now if there's any justice left in this country he should stand trial for negligent homicide, just like any of us would do if we accidentally fired a gun that ended up killing someone. I won't hold my breath for that to happen tho, because he's rich/famous/powerful and most importantly today is on the side of politics that gets away with everything.

There also were actual physical fights with paps just snapping pics of him as he was out in public in NYC. He has a very bad temper, I remember reading years ago posts that were once on reddit from just general staff on movies and shows that talked about how demanding and easy to anger that he is.
I don't think he meant to kill or shoot anyone, however I could see him after repeated takes of an assistant director (stars usually only talk to the main directors on set) telling him what to do, him losing his patience and temper and thinking OK i'll give you a shot and snapping the gun at her to scare her if it was loaded with say a noise making blank. I own guns, been around them my entire life and they aren't easy to get to go off. No matter what I can tell you this he had to have pulled the trigger or no it wouldn't have fired. Either he had the hammer cocked back and pulled the trigger, or he had his finger on the trigger and tried pulling the hammer back at the same time. Either of those would cause the single action firearms to go off. Regardless he'd have felt it kick, I've got a 45 and it's very prominent much more so than even a 9mm. So he knew something came from that gun, if not then it goes to show they were shooting rounds packed with powder and no projectile/bullet but either way he'd have felt it. He's just flat out lying about a lot and whoever let him do this interview is clearly as clueless about guns as he is and counting on the general public to know nothing. That was a great break down of not just the body language but of the reaction. The lack of surprise from a huge kickback but even better the mechanics involved in order for the gun to fire vs his story is utterly impossible. I’ve shot revolvers and his story only makes sense if he had the trigger pulled and let the hammer loose. That’s how the western films show a gunslinger rapid fire by hitting hammer rapidly back all while keeping the trigger pressed. The hammer locks when pulled back because the trigger keeps it in position, until released by squeezing the trigger. Check out any gun channel as they attempt to misfire a revolver by the same method he used. Nothing happens 100/100 times. He should receive the same if not worse punishment under the law based on negligence and lack of empathy. I always double and triple check any weapon I handle if it’s just me or if someone hands me a weapon. It’s nice to trust but always verify by checking yourself. Safety is paramount and once you slack off I’m the department people die cause you or someone said “ here check this gun out, it’s empty.” BOOM!!!!!

      @ExarchGaming Před 2 lety

unless he was responsible for the negligent discharges, it doesn't really connect him to that incident. He had no reason to believe his armorer would have screwed up like that. Hollywood productions are massive juggernauts of work. there can be hundreds of people swarming around, it's very compartmentalized. There have been multiple people confirm that a cold gun was declared which means that it was supposed to be safe and unloaded.
That's why the investigation is looking in to the armorer because they were the last one to handle the gun before the incident happened. There is a ton of misinfo floating around too, regarding the walks outs and other events surrounding the shooting. This is what the search warrent found.
"According to a search warrant, the guns were briefly checked by armorer Gutierrez-Reed, before assistant director Halls took the weapon from the prop cart and handed it to Baldwin.[31][32] In a subsequent affidavit, Halls said the safety protocol regarding this firearm was such that Halls would open the loading gate of the revolver and rotate the cylinder to expose the chambers so he could inspect them himself. According to the affidavit, Halls did not check all cylinder chambers; he recalled seeing three rounds at the time, while the gun was loaded with at least four, one of which was a live round. He "couldn't recall if she [Gutierrez-Reed] spun the drum."[33] In the warrant, it is further stated that Halls announced the term "cold gun", meaning that it was empty.[31] Halls's lawyer, Lisa Torraco, insisted that he did not grab the gun off the table and hand it to Baldwin as reported."

@@Teachingcasuals that's the problem bro, you don't want to read the rest because you have some narrative going on in your head, like using the term "murder" which is extremely loaded.
So you don't read past the headlines or the most surface level information regarding movie sets and their productions. Dozens of experienced people weren't there on set, they're watching through news clips and a really cringy fucking interview and projecting. I get it Baldwin is a two-faced hollywood liberal, I get it in this interview he comes off extremely fucking awkward and weird.
That doesn't change the actual information coming from the investigation that the police are performing. The fact that they're not looking at Baldwin, despite yours and "dozens of experienced people" insistence that he "murdered" his friend.
I've explained how the gun got on set, the armorer prepares the gun, it was then given to the assistant director who left it on a cart due to their covid restrictions, somehow Reed nor the Assistant director checked the gun to see if it was loaded, but still called out cold gun, which then baldwin picks up and they start going over the scene.
It was during this that they were talking about a cinematographical shot in which he pulls the gun from the holster, and claims it went off. Yes, he probably pulled the trigger, or had it depressed when he pulled the hammer back, making it not catch and slam forward. I'll guarantee his lawyer has told him to admit to literally nothing.
The part about how a real gun got on set, is the ENTIRE REASON there is an investigation going on. Yes, prop guns can fire real rounds, it's a major controversy now, because they do use live guns and blanks because it's hard to fake the realistic recoil and action of the gun.
We don't know how the gun fired though, we have a good idea due to knowledge of the firearm, but we didn't get to forensically investigate it, we don't know if there was damage, or some sort of failure maybe in the trigger assembly, none of that part of the investigation has been released.
The bullets and how they got there are the focus of the investigation, and the armorer is at the center of it. The people who provided the gun for the production are also being looked at as from what I recall they were using someone else than who they normally use. No one thinks Baldwin intentionally murdered her, not when so many witnesses saw what happened, and multiple people have reported the cold gun call, which means the production told him the gun was unloaded. He should have checked, if he had Helena Hutchinson would still be alive. But it was a horrific accident that's the information we have right now, everything else is just speculation.

Well i guess i must be an alien for expecting a person might have realised a bullet had left the barrel of his gun and hit the person he was knowingly pointing the scary end at.
Alec was not only an actor but a producer too, coupled with his extensive acting career and how vocal he generally is about how dangerous guns are, it makes no sense what-so-ever that he would just take a gun handed to him by a random person and trust that the gun was safe. Especially as members of the cast had just left the set citing safety concerns linked to two “accidental” gun discharges. I know it was an accident. If a conversation actor had accidently killed someone, Baldwin would have wanted them to be punished to the fullest extent. I have watched hour's of the police interviews, including the early bodcam footage. Twice when the police first arrived the assitant director said Alec Baldwin pulled the trigger. Baldwin heard this, and didn't refute it. Later Baldwin was sitting down outside. A police officer said to someone, Baldwin is the one that pulled the trigger, Alec hears this, and doesn't say "I didn't pull the trigger!".
