So when this happened in the manga, one of the adapted chapters from this episode ended on the scene of AFO saying he has friends and showing invisible girl, we spent a full week thinking that she was the traitor

I thought she was the traitor for years. It made perfect sense. The traitor is the one you cant see. I was SO excited when they revealed that lol

Most people didn’t know about All for One until his fight with All Might in season 3. All Aoyama’s parents knew was that he was a guy who could give people quirks and only found out how evil he was after it was too late
10:25 Afo wasn't gonna give Aoyama a good quirk in case he'd máster it and cause trouble for him later, so that's probably why he chose navel laser, a quirk that would allow him to pursue his dream of being a hero and returning to his parents all the good they did for him, but not a strong hero on his own
Imagine AFO felt the side-effects of the quirk and felt instant regret for taking it. Had to unload that diarrhea making quirk off to some other poor soul XD

@@pie5556 I think he could've handled it, but, a navel laser quirk isn't really his style nor Shigaraki's style so, he probably purposely chose it cause he knew Aoyama's body wasn't compatible with it

The public didnt know of afos existence. The commision and government actively hid him from records so there's no way they couldve known he was the literal embodiment of evil. Also If you look at everyones names in japanese, they all have a reference to what their quirk could possibly be, except for two students. Aoyama and Deku have names with no definition alluding to a quirk. Their surnames mean blue mountain and green valley. And they both weren't born with a quirk.
They're meant to be besties learning they're "Valley and Mountain" awe.
All for One also kept himself to the shadows, preferring a backstage puppeteer role over drawing too much attention to himself
Hagakure was the main suspect for being the traitor for the longest time becuase she's got the perfect Quirk for it. Other people also speculated Kirishima, Ayoyama, and Kaminari.
Fun fact: The reason why Aoyama brought up Uraraka's crush on Deku in season 3 could be because he tried to self-sabotage himself so that he didn't have to go to the training camp and put his classmates in danger. Something that likely would have gotten him killed if he had succeeded. Basically, he tried to kill himself in an attempt not to endanger his friends, but he failed. Not that it would have mattered anyway, since he'd have to go regardless
What sad but amazing about how this plot is written is that they didn't made the "traitor" Character be someone who just wants to betray them. They made him a traitor that was FORCED to betray them.
And the show wasn't even being subtle about it. They keep on having Aoyama look at the audience like breaking the third wall. When he asked his classmates to ask him where he was in USJ, he answered "It's a Secret" like it wouldn't be suspicious. The face he made when he watched Midoriya back in the cheese incident?
Also btw. Figured why AFO gave Aoyama Navel Laser. The idea of AFO firing Navel Laser just sounds funny.
Ok but like, it would caught some poor soul off guard tho. The AFO firing navel laser case 🤣

I’m just gonna say it, Aoyama doesn’t deserve to be imprisoned for this. He’s a kid who was forced into a situation where he had the choice of doing what he was told or dying with his parents. I know there’s consequences and stuff, but like, I’m with Midoriya and co.
In older episodes Aoyama was always watching us, there is many times when he was in the background just facing us
I genuinely forgot abt Aoyama till I found out he was the traitor a couple yrs ago and now I’m fascinated by his character he’s one of my faves
To be fair to ayoamas parents not many of them know afo as a villain a lot of people were manipulated by in him in the sense that he would initially act like just a generous quirk giving santa type guy but as soon as he's done hed take off the mask and show you he really is just the grinch. Hes sorta like Mr beast if he was a a super powered scammer🤣

I still don't understand why they put that in the opening... at least it's not somehting MAJOR that they show in this arc because they have Bakugo standing in the top of those fingers which is fine because it's just him smiling and all.
Aoyama's whole situation is just fucking terrible, he was quirkless then given a quirk that physically hurts him to use, then because of that quirk he was roped into an evil scheme to destroy heroism at its roots by basically putting a nuke to his parents' heads. he never wanted any of this, he just didn't want to be an outsider.
also, if you go back and look through the previous seasons knowing this information, all the times he showed up JUUUUUST in the nick of time or did things that kinda seemed out of the ordinary it really does paint the picture of a kid who is just trying not to get noticed unless absolutely necessary.
finally, if you'll remember when we're introduced to him he tells us that it's not just that it hurts his stomach, but that without that support belt it actually leaks out of his belly button. he literally cannot control it on a daily basis without that huge clunky-ass support item on at all times. he is trapped in so many ways dude 😭

This episode made me cry a bit, but when deku said « I’ll say it one more time; you can still be a hero » It just hurt me so much because that’s what he wanted all might to tell him when they first met, and he didn’t, and now that his classmate is in a position that wouldn’t let him act as a hero, he’s saying this😭🤌🏼
I'll blame the Government for Aoyama's parents mistake, they clearly didn't know who AFO is when they seeked him for the quirk because everything about One for all and All for one is kept a secret confidential info from the public. That's at least from my understanding of the situation so far. but they started to feel guilty after they knew that he is a villain. I would've actually been pissed at Midoryia if he didn't help Aoyama regardless of his mistakes because Midoriya is someone who trying to "safe" Shigaraki even tho he killed so many people intentionally unlike Aoyama who's been forced and threatened to have his and his parents lives taken. -i would priorities my parents over the world-. Also Midoriya's mom could've done the same since she was taking her child to that sus doctor, good thing she didn't xd
Right? The doctor could've fed her idea to seek AFO. But I knew part of Inko feels like "It's better this way" you know. I know Inko also wanted Izuku to have a quirk to be a hero, but as a mom we can't take away the idea that maybe Inko also is relieved he wouldn't have to be one so he's far from all dangers of hero works.

The past three episodes were like 10 chapters
This episode was emotional, seeing Deku use the same words as All Might touched my heart, these three episodes were really crazy !
So before this chapter in the manga, the author led everyone to believe that he wrote so much into all the characters that it was no longer plausible for any of them to be the traitor mentioned all the way back in season 3. THIS AUTHOR MANAGED TO PULL THE WOOL OVER EVERYONE’S EYES!
One thing I’m sad about is when nezu asks the kids to leave in the manga shoto said “no you may not” and I’m so sad it wasn’t animated 😭😭

Once i fold them, they are captured then we can discuss the why/how/when/ convo happens. Bc my initial reaction of anger and the mandatory hands has to happen.

Thank you AFO is a piece of crap. Like, Shiggy is kinda unhinged and that's understandable given his background (it's even worse in the manga, no spoilers but oww). I've been absolutely hating AFO for a while and it just kept getting worse.
