    To note: A big part of Shigarakis new "growth" of hatred for All Might as he has always hated him to an extent is due to AFO merging with Shigaraki, so while it seems like Shigaraki is talking, afos personality is always partially mixed within Shigaraki.

    Apparently the original idea was to reveal Yuga as the spy right after the training camp arc, but the editors said the fans weren't responding well enough to the arc so Horikoshi had to go into a different direction in the next arc. He knew who the spy was back then, but ended up not having a chance to reveal it until here.

    Shigaraki's hatred for All Might has 3 reasons: 1. AM is the embodiment of hero society and the reason why people who didn't fit into hero society felt supressed and since everyone relied on hero society nobody cared for Shigarakis' suffering. 2. AFO raised Shigaraki, so he implanted the hatred into him, especially by linking All Might to Shigarakis Grandma Nana Shimura since they both held OFA and since Nana "abandoned" her family, she is the reason for all the bad things that happened to Shigaraki. 3. AFO and Shigaraki's mind is combining, so the "I hate everything" mentality of Shigaraki extends to the fixation of AFO towards AM

    After rewatching this ep, I would say that his parents, no matter their intentions for their son, are in hot water. I would say Aoyama, despite thinking otherwise due to his guilt, likely has a pretty strong duress/coercion defense. Especially given how lucky he was in the two incidents he played a part in; as no-body died. The USJ attack, and the training camp.
    He's a minor. He did not have any choice in taking the quirk, nor did he have a choice in its origin. He would have been what? 5 years old tops when AFO gave it to him? Yet his lack of choice in both were used to coerce him with lives of his parents. Thus, the threat was serious bodily harm, as well as violence to compel. The threat was implied to be inescapable; even if AFO did not really give a shit too much. The defendant (Aoyama in this case) had become involved through no fault of his own. And it seems to be implied the crime in Aoyama's case was giving location information to his parents, who forwarded it to AFO. Of which, it seems unlikely disposable pawns like him/his parents could have known that AFO was connected to the League concretely until the 2nd attack. Midoriya is also right that Aoyama did actually take action in defense of his classmates during the Training Camp. Lastly, thankfully, like Gentle he was stopped before he could commit to this new AfO request. So, he's hardly unforgivable given his circumstances.

    Shigiraki’s hatred of All Might is kinda a Two-Fold thing. Firstly he has some merging with All For One that’s causing him to embody that disgust for All Might a bit more, since that’s his sworn rival that managed to actually beat him. But also, Shigiraki hates the IDEA of All Might already, and sees the society that failed him as a natural consequence of his existence. All Might was a piece of the puzzle, but combining with AFO is multiplying those feelings.

    • @mbpoblet
      @mbpoblet Před 2 měsíci

      Shigaraki is mostly AFO's creation and had been indoctrinated to hate heroes and especially All Might even before AFO took his body over, but below that there's Tenko, who hates heroes in general because they didn't save him or his family.

  • @sammy0493
    @sammy0493 Před 2 měsíci +4

    I think Shigaraki hatred also comes from Nana Shimura which is Allmight master and OFA user. So he also indirectly hated OFA since Nana abandoned her son because of OFA responsibility resulting for her son to hate hero and treated Shigaraki miserably when he wants to become a hero. So i interpret that Shigaraki hatred is a mix of that.

    I’m just gonna say it, Aoyama doesn’t deserve to be imprisoned for this. He’s a kid who was forced into a situation where he had the choice of doing what he was told or dying with his parents. I know there’s consequences and stuff, but like, I’m with Midoriya and the class here honestly.

  • @Kaempfdog
    @Kaempfdog Před 2 měsíci +1

    Alright! The traitor is revealed! I have been waiting to talk about this for quite some time. I like the story and I like the idea of all this. But I don’t think it was utilized the best.
    I remember when a certain chapter ended, Hagakure was hiding behind a tree as they narrated about the traitor. And the people who suspected Hagakure did a MASSIVE victory lap. She wasn’t at the vote for the Class President Vote! She hasn’t done anything narrative so she’s free to do whatever! We can’t see her body so she might be deformed with other quirks! And I to counter said please there’s ZERO build up for her. None at all! I don’t like the idea of student suspects at all and AOYAMA has more build up. And then the NEXT chapter came and I proceeded to have a doctor surgically remove my foot so I could fit the entire thing in my mouth. It’s like Horikoshi heard me and slapped me. XD
    I spent a good amount of last season talking about what crosses off traitor suspects off my list and what gets me to think they are traitors or not. And at that point in the manga I figured it was Vlad King, Present Mic, or Principal Nezu. Vlad King was absolved when the villain who killed Midnight appeared in color who had an identical build and hair style when he wasn’t in color. And Present Mic attacked Garaki in his home base to stop Shigaraki and in a place he could have been betraying for the sake of Shirakumo who has now become a Nomu that they could hold over him. So those didn’t match up. But Nezu? Surely this episode absolved my concerns for Nezu right?
    You’re not going to believe this, but no. In fact this episode made me certain with how AFO explained how he enjoys making plans, there was someone standing over Aoyama AT UA to maintain pressure on him as the middle-man. As the way they explained it…somehow made Nezu MORE suspicious not less.
    Everytime Aoyama acted it got confusing how this pulled off at all. Nezu PERSONALLY had a scene in season 5 where he SPECIFICALLY hard clears EVERY student. They investigated the kids and came up with NOTHING. And I say HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE. Aoyama is engaging this episode and he broke instantly at every single juncture out of the sheer terror of AFO literally killing others RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM for those that disobeyed. He was in constant panic and turmoil and Nezu HARD CLEARED HIM.
    Then there’s the blind spot in the forest. After beefing up security across the seasons, INCLUDING the New UA barrier and being in OFA’s inner circle for years when AFO has targeted UA for such a long time by his own admission, I find it weird that this blind spot was found at all and during THIS time of the jailbreakers and the need for everything to be even more secure with Deku now back! Not that AFO wouldn’t have ways of drawing people out or finding these people alone to target them, but this is essentially the same place Deku fought Gentle Criminal where a blind spot was found LAST time.
    And one of the BIGGEST ones that threw me off. All-Might is going to be a teacher at UA. Go and enroll. The state of All-Might’s UA employment was STRICTLY hush hush and there was no real leak about any of that. So what’s the issue? All-Might being a teacher blind sided the public and was ONLY talked about during a SINGLE scene before this. And it was RIGHT after AFO was critically injured with All-Might in their prime fight, Nighteye saw the future of All-Might, and they discussed how it’s time to choose a new symbol. And there were only 5 characters present. All-Might, who wouldn’t betray himself. Nighteye who has since passed away. Gran Torino who has been on AFO’s hitlist for YEARS as Nana’s friend and he’s successfully escaped with his life AFTER taking blows from BOTH AFO’s. Recovery Girl who while DOES have opportunity to take advantage of Deku in his bone breaking stage to give him to AFO, doesn’t and keeps him safe. And the ONLY ONE that fits giving up that information being Nezu.
    And stacked with the list of OTHER suspicious actions that AREN’T cleared up with this reveal, I just sat there and said HOW IS HE MORE SUSPICIOUS?!
    I’m not trying to endlessly prove Nezu is apart of this. In fact once Aoyama was revealed, I said how can I DISPROVE Nezu. And only found MORE. And I decided to air my suspicions on Nezu ANYWAY knowing the traitor because it boggles my mind.
    Also AFO once had navel laser. Someone PLEASE tell me he posed like Aoyama does to use it. I love the idea AFO has a bunch of useless/unstable quirks he can give to people willing to make a deal with the devil. My biggest question is why did Aoyama try to get an SOS out AFTER AFO was caught? Before fine but after?
    I don’t object to Aoyama being a great reflection of Deku receiving a quirk from All-Might and AFO. I don’t object to his motivations. I don’t object to any bit of how Aoyama’s role played out here. But it needed support to work well and I just think this part of the story needed to cover more considering the pure scope of how people dissected the story looking for the traitor. EVERY CHARACTER was dissected. And I’ll just say the smartest character in the show be slacking off.

    Its human instict to keep yourself alive and i believe the same is true for your loved ones , with ayoma yuga? Im probably mispelling that , he was put into this situation that was essentially out of his control. Even if it was something he asked it was from the perspective of a ignorant , innocent child. Even now he and the rest of the class are still like teenagers so the idea to give up your life or parents for the betterment of many other lives i just dont see being too realistic imo. But yeah i think its sort of something thts not really his fault, the real villain is all for one.
    In this universe all for one is like a big scary threat like what else would we do but bend to its will if no ones stopping it once put into that situation? Idk if all for one was presenting himself as a big villain the time they got bestowed the quirk for yuga but ofc they got locked into a bad situation. I just cant help but see them as victims of circumstance. They meant well , without context of how evil presenting all for one was at the time its hard to say if they even did buisness with a shady figure or not from their viewpoint. Punishment imo probably should still be inacted as they put others lives in danger but it really seems like it wasnt intentional so like idk community service for awhile ? The parents are rich no idea there backstory world building etc but they can go feed homeless , help clean up neighborhoods help prep food in a local kitchen or something for the community for awhile. Same with yuga tho if yuga can help bait all for one tht imo should pretty much cover his punishment he out of everyone is the biggest victim. Irl itd be like a situation of getting yuga in a wittness protection/security program relocating changing identity etc but im sure you cant just do tht with all for one and super powers and such but he really is just a victim.
    Sorry long ass comment , bad habit main points in the first paragraph if anyone decides to read all of this more power to you my grammer is bad but realistically reading isnt hard and its good for ya. Lel 🧡

AFO is someone who turned off these feelings in the original body, but now with the shigaraki there we can see a more frustrated and childish AFO.

Knowingly doing evil stuff you feel bad about and never stopping that behavior is a sign of a bad person. Now, I understand his situation and it certainly wasn't easy for him to do the right thing, but that doesn't remotely absolve him of his evil actions and betrayal. He can never be a hero again. The best he can hope for is to make up for at least a fraction of what he caused. But of course, that's the adult way of looking at things and this is a kids show, so I don't expect things to be resolved in a just manner. It will probably just end with empty forgiveness and meaningless friendship.
