    A really nice review. Thanks for showing the hand launches on 3S and 4S - really reassuring. Your comments about the set-up, throws and CG were really appreciated.

    I found the holes in the elevator horns were too small and the clevises we rubbish - replaced the clevises made larger holes in the horns - fly mine on a wide range of batteries 1300mAh 4s, 1800 Mah 4s, 1800 mAh 3S and have been told they will also take 2200 upto 2800mAh 3s wide range - the bay is large enought to allow the CG to stay at 40mm - Nice - get loads of time , balanced at 40mm (CG) just the same as you - ESC is rated from 2 to 4 Lips so no real issue using 4S .. Thanks for the Video -

      I found my elevator horns just had a bit of paint in the holes - a quick twist with a drill bit in a pin vice soon had it sorted out. I definitely prefer the 4s 1400mAh setup for easy hand launching and great vertical performance. I bought 4 batteries to keep me going !

    Great review Matt ... just wondering .. out of this, the BAE Hawk and T33 ... which is the best flying model in terms of stability, slow speed, agility?

    • @ScaleMeDown
      @ScaleMeDown  Před rokem +2

      For slow speed and general handling on 3 cells, I much prefer the Hawk to fly. However, the T-33 and L-39 are very nice on 4 cells. The T-33 and L-39 are very similar to fly, with perhaps the L-39 having a slightly softer stall .

    Just setting mine up. What was your C of G position and where did you measure it from, wing LE or front of tapered fairing? Thanks. BTW great video.

    • @ScaleMeDown
      @ScaleMeDown  Před rokem +1

      Thanks. Glad you liked it. The instructions show 40-45mm back from the leading edge tapered fairing at the root. I found the stall a bit 2wild2 at 45mm back, so mine is set at 40mm

    Hi I want to get this plane but I have no clue what receiver, transmitter and just assembly if you could say what parts you used I would be great full

    • @ScaleMeDown
      @ScaleMeDown  Před rokem +1

      Hi. The only parts you require are the transmitter, receiver, battery and charger. However, is this your first radio controlled plane ? (it wouldn't make a good first model)

    What was the current draw on 4S? Is it not going to overload the 30A ESC?

    • @ScaleMeDown
      @ScaleMeDown  Před rokem +2

      No idea, but all the other aircraft in this range run on 4s just fine, so I don't see it causing an issue. If the worst happens, I will just change out the ESC, however haven't needed to swap one yet after hundreds of flights on the Hawk and T-33.

    Would it work with 2200 3s battery?

    • @ScaleMeDown
      @ScaleMeDown  Před 9 měsíci +2

      This plane flies much better on 4s. That said, you can see the flight performance on 3s 1500mAh here on the video - quite nice. It will certainly fly on a 3s 2200mAh, but hand launches will be more difficult with the increased weight. I would also opt for 50c or better batteries. This little jet is a lot of fun !
