    Great video man! Did you go over subcontracting process at all may be I’ve missed it. For example, writing the scope of work, going over the boiler plate language etc.

    Dude its crazy how much content is out there with people teaching this stuff and none of them have a business to reference in their channel details, they are running educational content courses but have no business to reference when it comes to the details, this is really sad ... I verified your creds before even listening to the video, i don't plan to do construction but junk removal or home cleaning does sound like a good idea with proven track record ... thanks for being transparent, thats super important these days.

    Hey Jesse! I'm in the process of getting my plumbing license (NC) and going to start my own business. So there's a question. What is the best way for new company to get first contract? I'm going to work in new residential construction. Thanks.

    Thank you! Whine follows: female residential project mgr/GC here not taken seriously way too often in the rural area where I build. Trades subcontractors [try to] overcharge or otherwise [try to] take advantage of...Anyway, what advice - other than throwing in a front guy to speak on my behalf - might you have to address this "stuff"

      Have you tried applying for Minority as a Women business owner certification in your municipality / county / state / federal level?
      This might help in a different way to your problem!

    when you get hired as a contractor do you have to find your own architect or will the buyer already have the design done

    • @Jesse_Lane
      @Jesse_Lane  Před 3 lety +2

      It’s either way. 2 different approaches to a project depending if they already have drawings completed or not.

    Subcontractor is not for everyone. I am a plumber and I have a small company we do repairs, its hard to make money from new construction or remodeling. Contractors don't pay and not their fault Subcontractor is only for those who are o.k making 100 to 350.00 per day. I make alot more money in one day to do repairs I cannot afford that. I always get so many call.

      Get SBA and SCORE help from small business administration to get help and advise as to what you need to change. You probably need get rid of some or all your CONTRACTORS.
      Also, have you read, "Profit First For Contractors?"
      Great heap of help RIGHT THERE!!!!!

    • @thedaffamily5020
      @thedaffamily5020 Před 3 lety

      @@MiguelVargassagraVleugiM we never done commercial, that's a lot more difficult to get into. Bigger companies do commercial construction.

    There is a good reason why Europeans have respected shaven men. If you wear a beard then you will disadvantage yourself when society remembers why European respected shaven men. You will be hiding your photos from when you were bearded.
