That mascara comb reminds me of how in high school we would use an open safety pin to separate out the clumped up parts, but hopefully safer lol

I could see the ruler being helpful for us girls with hooded lids. It could hold the hood still, which is always a fight.
I was wondering about that!! Even for me, as an older makeup wearer I like to stop my shadows at an upward slant. It looks so much better with my hooded eyes. I am thinking this could help!!! Sometimes I use a card...but this could really be helpful ❤

My tip: I’m an ophthalmology nurse and I use baby shampoo to clean my brushes. We recommend using the bb shampoo if ppl have funky eye issues like pink eye and other things. Works great, not irritating to the skin or eyes!
Edit: This is not medical advice if you have eye problems! Just a recommendation for cleaning brushes. 😊
What brand? I'm actually allergic to Baby Magic, so it was hell when my kiddo was little, as the Huggies brand baby bath products that I wasn't allergic to got discontinued, and they're the only game.

With the eyelash comb I use it the regular way and upside down to get all my lashes. I usually use it upside down in just the spots that combing it the regular way misses.

Your makeup looks so nice!
You can microwave your sponge when it is filled with water to sanitize it. The same method apply to kitchen sponge to keep it stay clean longer. Test with the old sponge that you dont care much about to figure out how long you have to microwave.
So smart! I already do this with my kitchen sponge. Brilliant idea ❣️
I usually do 1 minute in the microwave and let it cool before I take it out

my concern about using the brush cleaner is that the ferrule is submersed in water, which could ultimately loosen the glue that holds the brush bristles in place.
The purple Kokie sponges are $5 and so soft. The pink beakey sponges with a slant on Amazon are really good too. Both are great beauty sponges

I have that comb! I use it AFTER my mascara has dried. That way it separates the clumps better without removing mascara. 😊

I love this video. You mention issues with using hands. So many don't mention that. They just assume everyone has full use of their hands. I also notice you are down to earth and don't just put out videos just for views
I got a pack of puffs from Amazon-the black ones shed a little (wash them first) but the pink ones are great and they don’t split after you hand wash them. I’ve also tried travel size bottles (you can fill them with anything). Money well spent. Might look into the brush cleaner-right now I’m using kitchen soap.

That headband is perfect!
Putting one or two cosmetic bottles into a larger plastic bag with a zip top will protect the contents of your luggage in case of imploding or exploding bottles. Those condom shaped toppers don’t look all that great.

The mascara comb thing- I’ve been doing that my whole makeup life but with old comb like mascara wand from a dried out mascara 😂 I wish I would have thought about inventing that!! LOL
Thank you so much for this! I must say those brush cleaners really gross me out. I don't think they are effective at cleaning when you're using the same water. I don't reuse bath water for the next baby I bathe. lol

I got the brush cleaner as a gift and love it… it works great with powder brushes and I use it as a pre clean with foundation and concealer brushes.

I just stop up my sink ir use a big bowl. I do a warm soapy water first cleanse, a rinse and then a second cleanse and rinse. I lso do the cleanest brushes first.

I just ordered the wing stencil because I can’t do a wing. I’ve got old hooded eyes so here’s to hoping it works lol I might order the brush cleaner as well because it works so well! Just keep a clean jug of water beside you and a big empty bowl. No need to move to a sink then lol Love your channel ❤

I bought them all and can’t wait to try the eye liner. I just can’t do it on my own so this is exciting.
With the mascara comb - it’s super effective IF and ONLY IF the product on the lashes is wet. Sometimes you’ll have dried clumps from a previous coat, and it can’t help you with that.
For me, it’s good to keep the comb nearby and be very cognizant of having it handy for each coat. Over a few months, I’ve found that it CAN make a huge difference if you are very conscientious about using it actively with wet mascara and a careful hand.

I have been using the Beakey sponges for 3 or 4 years now. I use those or the AOA ones almost exclusively. Cant beat the price and they are perfect.

I've also used the AOA paw paw sponges and brushes. You're right, the sponges are really good. You should try the AOA eye brush set. It's easy to clean and also don't shed fibers that much.
One more thing. I know I might sound a bit controversial, but Sheglam is actually way cheaper than the AOA and Real technique sponges. Each cost about a dollar and they perform super well. I just bought a set of 3 beauty blenders, 3 makeup removal sponges, 3 headbands, 3 triangle powder applicators, 3 mini concealer sponges set from Sheglam last month at only about 7 dollars. It's dirt cheap, but they're good.

I love the AOA paw paw sponges they are soooo soft❤ Even though it's cheap & geared for a younger crowd (I'm 55 lol) Shop Miss A actually has some really great products! My current favorites are the dirt cheap 6 pack Scarlette lashes which are perfect for my almond shape hooded eyes, and the AOA Fat Lash mascara is a dirt cheap really good tubing mascara for bottom lashes!

I’ve thought about buying that eyelash comb forever. I was going to use it to dip in oil and Vaseline to condition my lashes.

I really recommend having a lash comb on hand as a just-in-case. There's a great folding one made by tweezerman.
I'd also like to second what some others have commented, which is that a plastic zip-top bag is an easier option than the makeup condoms.
I bought those set of beauty sponge on Amazon a few months ago. Personally, I don't think its a dupe to the beauty Blender but it's a good alternative at a cheaper price.
