I think Brazil would be one of the best places to be during this. The amazon could provide protection, not to mention they have the power of fire. Fire would melt zombie flesh

You have to consider that the wildlife would also eat the eggs. If it’s a pathogen, it’s likely that it doesn’t infect animals and it can’t spread through digestion. Due to this, the amazon would be better. The mountains would also be great, but we need to consider that the air may be too thin for many to breathe in

I don't really think it would be the best time for potentially infected animals tho... For example, what if what you said is wrong and the virus spreads like crazy. You also need to take into account the humidity of the rainforests which would create an ideal environment to grow and conceal zombie hordes. Basically no one's coming to Brazil anymore
