Relations between them actually improved during the reign of Selim III. (1789-1807). The Ottoman Embassy in Vienna was opened in 1794 and the relations also got significantly better after the Congress of Vienna with Metternich even warning Sultan Mahmud II. about an impending revolt in Greece before the Greek Independence War (1821-1832).
The relations soured only temporarily after the Ottoman Sultan Abdulmecid I. gave refuge to some revolutionaries of 1848 and refused to hand them over to Austria and Russia. But still the Austrians kept up steady relations with the Ottomans and always showed an interest in preserving their Empire.

Fun fact: after the elections in Türkiye 🇹🇷 2014, when Erdoğan first got elected president, he offered Armenia to a historic study together to end this discussion, historians from both countries will study together and find out, what really happened there. He even offered Armenia to have unbiased countrys, such as the British, USA and Russia to help investigate this subject... But to this day the Armenian government never agreed to investigate in such coalition with the Türks and still keeps his claims.....

I have found most of the video true other than Armenian part .Armenian s where the ones who killed Turkish people and stabbed us from the back when we were in war .In a short period of time there were huge turkish casualties that we had to open a war against them and after the war we exiled the ones who killed turkish people and while doing it we protected them with our own soilders . Ottoman Army sent several divisions to Galicia to help the Austrian troops against Russian Brusilov offensive in 1916. On that front Austrians and Ottoman troops fought side by side. There were also Austrian artillery batteries fought in the Gallipoli Campaign.
Speaking as a Turk, there is definitely something wrong with this story. He says that the Ottoman empire fought mercilessly, but that is a lie. The Ottoman Empire followed a tolerant policy in the places it conquered.🤨

Ottoman and Turk history in general in S+ tear. What many people don’t know is that the last decades of the Ottoman Empire was ruled by the Tanzimat which were a radicalist Turk group that sought to elimiate diversity in the Ottoman Empire and focus on Turkifying the whole state like colonising. They took the British and French as their role models thinking that system was the perfect system not knowing that the Ottomans themselves had the perfect ruling system of that age. If you compare the Ottoman rule during the times of the colonial age and other European countries out there, the regions The Ottomans ruled would look like the spolied children compared to other colonies. It was a shame that the Tanzimat ruined this system and sought to treat the places the Ottomans ruled like colonies.
