- Yes, I was bored. I also don't see much footage of this game on CZcams, which is sad, since it is (in my opinion) one of the best Tetris games. This Playthrough will show every mode of the game (except Endless Marathon and Mission Mode, because.. well.. they're endless). I'm not trying to beat every level of each mode, but I just want to show off some of this game's features. My only true goal was to clear 200 Lines in the Marathon Mode.

There is something oddly satisfying about the Marathon's top screen backgrounds with the photo realistic BGs and normal 8 Bit look up front. I really like it.
I loved this version back in the days, easily one of the best Tetris games out there.
"Tetrix Axis" on the 3DS was also lots of fun.
This was such a cute idea, themeing Tetris after the classic NES black box games. I wish we got another Tetris like this

Thought of a cool concept, what if for multiplayer, one person plays Tetris at the bottom screen, while the other person tries to keep up with the scrolling as Mario on the top screen!

Believe it or not, his is practically the ONLY Tetris version that I have ever been able to beat more than one. I never made it to far on the Original Tetris.

I finally beat original Tetris on gameboy during the pandemic on B mode but a few months ago beat the regular mode. Some 33 years or so later. Love this game

Woah, this version looks freaking awesome!! I love how it shows gameplay from different NES games with enhanced backgrounds on the top screen, and the remixes are great! Though it feels like it'd be kinda distracting. xD

On the different kinds of backgrounds during the Marathon Mode on the Touchscreen, These backgrounds are from Family Computer. Released in Japan in 1983 by Nintendo.

As a Tetris: The Grandmaster player, watching the first ten or so minutes of this video was mentally painful.

+Japancommercials4U2 In the early stages of your game, you seemed a bit too conservative about I placements considering you're guaranteed to get one out of every seven pieces (if I remember correctly). I /really/ don't get what you were doing with that square at 1:30 when you could have placed it in that lovely flat spot there, then put the Z on it and used the L to clear out that hole. Stacking a bit higher would have been pretty safe at that early in the game (and you could have got back-to-back tetrises). Before the 20G section, it would have been a good idea to downstack and build up pyramidally, with a smoother center that way you don't run into things like that S having nowhere to go at 11:51.
EDIT: Maybe try practicing keeping a clean stack that can take pretty much any block without using holds? It's not incredibly hard, but it'll help a lot.

+Japancommercials4U2 Oh man, don't be sorry. It's okay, I still suck at Tetris. There are probably thousands of players who could do infinitely better than I can, I still can't even make it to 500 in TGM. Just gotta keep practicing. Sorry for being kind of rude there.

1) This, mainly for its general presentation
2) The one on Gameboy, still love that music
3) The one on my old Macintosh, with the swearing announcer and the randomly appearing block that makes or breaks the game

I like four Tetris games (Three, not including Tetris Friends) 1. Tetris DS. 2. NES Tetris. It introduces color to the once colorless world of Tetris. 3. Tetris Friends. It's pretty cool. I grew up with it. 4. Magical Tetris Challenge. Very obscure. It has multiple game modes, which might be why I like it.

I understand that pajitnov used the elektronika 60 (not a typo) to make tetris then licensed the rights to Nintendo for the GB version. how exactly was there color before the GB version?

you're not bad but you should swap more often to avoid unfavorable piece placements, dont stack columns, and you should think ahead more to set up drops for later pieces

What button Rotate Tetrimino Left and right and what button move piece and hold Tetris piece and what button make Tetris block fall fast and what button pause game and teach me all of the Nintendo DS button.
