Thanks foor this. After all these years it makes finally sense to me. It is my all time favorite album. A genius masterpiece.

I wore this album out-filled with odd time signatures and polyrhythms which challenged my drumming skills as a teen. I became a Bruford devotee, of course. “Presto Vivace and Reprise” next? Thx for the analysis!👍👍

I think Jobson also keeps the high C going in all the chords so you get that half-step clash in the second chord.--same with the main chords, the high G is continued through all the chords. BTW he also plays both left hand and right hand rhythms at the same time, as he does in The Only Thing She Needs. I've often thought that Zappa brought out that polyrhythmic facility in him, there was certainly none of it in his playing with Roxy Music.

Very nice, Johan! At 10:44, you show the three chords ("intervals" as you call them) but you are omitting the high C on the second and third chords played. Eddie plays the low AND high C on each of the three intro chords. Like this: CAC x2, CGBC x2, CFAC x2, CGBC x1, then repeat.

I was 17. The end of Nevermore is pure anthem rock. I wish it went on longer. (Same with the end of Supper's Ready)

One of the most dufficult sevens to get since there are not drums to provide a track!
