- Currently playing Buddy for my second time on National Tour and we stopped off in Texas for a travel night, and stumbled upon some of the nicest drilling guys from Louisiana who gave us great truck bed bbq (amazing food), in return we put on a mini concert for them. This is one of thee songs we did, with some costume! Enjoy!
Buddy smiling down from heaven, NICE JOB!.
YES INDEED -
Glad you enjoyed it❤
I couldn’t agree more. Nice job!
The dude shoved his pregnant fling upon discovering the pregnancy and ghosted her. Hardly heaven-worthy.
As a huge Buddy Holly fan, I got chills! Wow this is so good… it brought me to tears 🥹.
Great, as you weren't even born then......I was 10 when I saw Holly in England perform in 1958!
The best Buddy Holly I've ever seen.
That is SO kind. Thank you!
That might be the best Buddy Holly impersonation I have ever seen. It captures his spirit.
Buddy and the crickets would so proud to hear you guys rockin out. Awesome job guys. Keep ona rockin
Thank you!
Somewhere in the spirit world I just know Buddy Holly approves!!
Brilliant!!🙏❤️🎸 🎼.x
First rock and roll record I ever got was in 1967,age 5 ,Buddy Holly! Still have it and listen to it regularly. BUDDY HOLLY LIVES!!!
The Drummer, Jerry Alison , The Crickets drummer, drummed on a Cardboard Box on Buddy’s original recording of,”Not Fade Away,”. Great Job! Buddy would be impressed!
About Jerry Allison, YES HE DID!
It's nice seeing someone carrying on the memory of Buddy Holly
So awsome that people LOVE BUDDY HOLLEY from music studios to parking lots! LOVE IT
thank you so much!
THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BUDDY HOLLY SONG! He did his "hic- ups" perfectly!
Omg thank you!! ❤
Great job on the "drums"
this is outstanding
Music is all about having fun and you guy are killing it
Pretty tight performance with the right feel. Buddy Holly's was an amazing achievement - only around at the top for 2 years but influenced so many - especially British players. I regret his death to this day.
Love this! He loves this!!! You embody his remarkably gentle yet explosive spirit well. God Bless you sir for keeping him alive for others! 🥹🙏🏼❤️💫👑🎸♾️✨🪽
Thank you so much!
NEVER fade away!!
FANTASIC I LOVEDS BUDDY HOLLY SENS 1976
me to buddy is my king
alwais the king rock n roll heaven if buddy wass ö live???????
Great stuff, I imagine Buddy and Jerry etc must have sounded like this in the early days in his garage.. Rev On boys......
Awesome performance!
Buddy Holly is one of my favorites. And these guys may be the broke version but they still play the hell out of that songm
No lighting , No amplification , in a parking lot . . . THIS IS COOL !!!
His is is just what we need in this era ! Old skool rock n roll never ever dies !!
Sounds real good. Hell of a cover
Love it!
Your version always makes me smile! Love this song!
Absolutely beautiful!
You guys captured it! Great performance!
Rocking man! Rocking!
Best ever parking lot show!
MICHAEL PERRIE LIVES ! The AMERICAN FLAG waving in the background says it all - GOD BLESS AMERICA - The Flag is dancing to the AMERICAN music and says GOD BLESS YOU TOO !
ALL RIGHT!!!! SPOT ON. LONG LIVE BUDDY👏👏👏👏👏
BUDDY HOLLY LIVES !
FANTASTIC!
Wow, I’m so glad that I came upon this video. I’ve always loved Buddy Holly and the Crickets and you all look and sound wonderful! Keep rockin’ on, guys!🙂👍
Who expected that? I love you, guys...😀😀👍👍
A good Singer.Very Close to Buddy
Brilliant. I'm a huge huge Crickets fan since 30 years back..and you could have teached Gary Busey quite a few things about what capturing Buddy's style is.
BUDDY HOLLY LIVES !
That is silly!
Sounds close to Budddy and looks too!
My fav B H tune.
I can’t be the only one that ‘knows’ a background dancer like that in the beginning…. Sometimes best around a camp fire… but you know who I’m talking about! 😉
Reminds me of the drummer from Live, who dances about in the video to 'I Alone'.
Well, at least he was happy.
I suppose that, back in Buddy's day, it was no holds barred at sock hops, similar to that.
Way cool. Know JI would have loved it. So glad people still enjoy Buddy and the Crickets after all these years. Fitting I stumbled on this video the very birthday of John Lennon who was a huge fan of Buddy. The music never died and these guys are keeping it alive.
wow youre identical! voice is spot on too. great job!
Thank you!
Excellent!
Great video Michael. You do a great tribute. Great vocals and guitar playing.
You guys do a GREAT JOB! Best tribute I’ve seen since The Buddy Holly Story movie, and I thought Gary Busey nailed it!
buddy is king but you is prince!!!!!!!
so right hello and bopp on from sweden
I like this!
Good job you guys I really love that version I’ve seen it before but I’ve never commented on it it was fantastic!
That was so good!
thank you!!
Well done, that was fantastic, I have been a buddy Holly fan for over 50 years and have seen a number of Buddy tribute bands and played it my self ,but man you nailed it , Buddy was a humble guy and he would be proud that in this modern age a young guy such as your self can do him justice, thanks you from Tasmania Australia.
Great!
The original is close but this is WAYYYY better; this is the rockin' movie version. Thanks!
Thanks Sam!
MICHAEL PERRIE JR. - - - - - LIVES !
Awesome 👌 job guys!!!! Love it!!!!
Man, you are great...

This is so cool. I really like
This
This performance was way better than I expected. Big sound from the fewest instrument.
Fantastic!!!
Top job guys iam a massive Buddy Holly fan we'll done ✔️ 👍 👏
That was really cool. Would like to have seen the whole show.
See if you can catch it! Lots of theatres do the musical so if there’s a house near you they might schedule it.
Loved it
This is so great .Who needs to spend a lot of money on drums ?
Man you guys did a great job, and that's quite a drum kit. J.I. would approve, lol.
Awesome job. I really enjoyed this performance. I need more now!
Holly fan here, great cover
私は日本人ですがこの曲が大好きです
Nothing wrong with that ( as my old sensie would say )

Well done bro.
Just handsome🤓😎🥸👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cool.
おおお!!!!!!!バディホリー❤️
Alright guys , not bad at all !......
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Great … can I recommend marbles in a biscuit tin for a better snare sound …
that's a good idea, had we known!!!! XD
keep it up
Sign them up full contract.
I have the actual buddy holly glasses but they are sunglasses as you can see in my profile picture
You look all set to get married to a beautiful Puerto Rican lady! (Check out Buddy's wedding photos.)
Just need a bit of echo, rest is fine !
Id suggest brushes for this set up..My 2 cents
but you need buddy s guitar 😄
on the radio?? maby buddy holly=???
What are the drums made of
It’s a box and a large cooler! 😂
Looks like a empty biscuit tin.
Nope..!
Yup..!
Yup, mister nope-er, because this video is in the spirit of Buddy's earlier days. Not only was "Rock Around With Ollie Vee" one of Buddy's earlier songs (re-recorded later), but this performance mimics the early days of Buddy's career. He'd play parking lots, grand openings of stores, school dances and roller rinks...anywhere he could showcase his talent, no matter how humble. So shaddap.
Whatever that little slim jim thing that guys plan on the left is get rid of it and get a real guitar or a real Bass. Get with the program get with era
It's a travel acoustic, because the Bass was at the theatre. We can't be out in Louisiana Parking Lots slinging around expensive 50's Upright Basses. But I appreciate your keen eye for detail.
@@somethinglikemusic A gentlemanly response, probably similar to any response Buddy probably would have given if he were standing there, in the modern day, in your shoes.
Are those gag glasses with the fake nose ? Think these guys imitate Gary Busey not Buddy !
Real glasses, real nose. Haha I can’t help that Sicilian French lineage.
But ugh - never Gary 🤮
@@somethinglikemusic IKR? (Re: the Gary part.)
Looks like a hell of a good time!
Great job guys!
thanks!
