    Had exactly the same trouble with the large seal on a UNI housing, not impossible but very tight. Little tip for anyone doing this job without any of the drift tools to hand, a used engine mount is the perfect size to tap down both the bearing and the large seal

    Thanks for this. I've just had a similar experience fitting the seal to a brand new Uni housing too. Apart from that they're great value for money and I'd definitely buy another one.

    Hi Rob - As I am a total novice on Lambretta rebuilds it may be helpful if when you fit the Mag seals (or any seals) to show the correct wat to fit them . ie. using spring side and flat side, facing yiou facing away or a good pic. Great vids.

      Spring always towards pressure. First thing you need to do is buy Stickies manual.

      So both mag seals have springs facing the crank then?
      Cheers

    Rob that mag housing looks really good, I’m just rebuilding a 66 SX 150 would you recommend it or stick to sil?

      It's really nice. If you have a sil then use it but if you need a new one, buy a uni, would be my advice.

    Hi again, I’m just curious how does this bearing get lubricated?

    • @kickbackgarage
      @kickbackgarage  Před 3 lety

      Only by the grease you pack it with. That's why it's important to use high temperature grease.
