Everything about this is great, seeing Rippers softer and more tragic side was great. Emma and Ripper are both deserving finalists with great arcs. Zee was also wonderful as well. You made Damien’s idol plot way more interesting as well. Overall I really like this rewrite and I wish it was the canon one.
This was a really well-made rewrite. Certainly wasn't expecting characters like Zee, Ripper or Emma to have so much more relevance to the story and I think you wrote them so that it wouldn't be unrealistic to see this happen. Which really makes me wonder, what would happen if the reboot cast got a full 26 episode season to work with instead of two separate seasons of 13?
I have no idea what they’d do. Honestly, this cast should have had a 27 episode season to start, but now? I don’t think it’d work. Maybe fifteen episodes, but what we have right now just doesn’t click.
BRO... you need to be the main writer for the next season. I think the development you gave the characters was way deeper and more interesting than how the actual writers wrote this season. I liked the idea of Zee and Emma together too, they do make a great duo! Also I want to mention I LOVED how you kept Ripper and Axel relatively the same, I love them together so I was so happy to see them stay super close. Finally, I loved how you let Ripper win and did it perfectly. 1000000/10 rewrite.

I really appreciate the story arcs the characters who got shafted by Prileb got from this, they definitely provide more engaging drama than just one couple that breaks up and gets back together. Them being the double elimination at least let's season 3 have the plot pick up and not drag season 2. The voice impressions were very immersive and like others mention, the Caleb and Zee are pretty good, sounds like them. "Emily" definitely needed that redemption and Zee becoming a more complex character than just haha soda is what we really need for him. Damian, even though he lost, he went out on his own terms, giving up his immunity idol, becoming the selfless hero that uses it to not save himself, but a friend. He really should've had a better alliance or at least friend to keep him from getting too panicked since Ripper and Damian friendship was amazing for both.
@@voiceunderthecovers I can see why writers in the past did story telling by writing characters off from their partners. Courtney, booted after kissing Duncan Trent, booted after kissing Gwen Geoff and Bridgette booted together first cause they didn't have this lovey dovey in season 1 Aleheather was season finale, and Chris didn't want Duncan gone immediately after coming back so he rigged it for him, though it does show how his character got worse from the love triangle since they kept him longer than needed. Mike booted after telling Zoey the truth All Stars kept Mike and Zoey, ending up ruining the story since it's all about them like Prileb. Honestly Shawn and Jasmine are probably the only long running couple that was good when they stayed. You splitting Ripper from Axel and kept him in the game allowed for him to grow and give Damian more shine. That is the writing of old Total Drama that we miss.

However I would re-write so many things about World Tour... All-Stars doesn't even matter here, as it would've been changed just because of changes to World Tour

Originally, I considered Raj but I was like “I don’t even think Wayne is a good finalist.” So I passed on him and just gave him some fun stuff to do before he gets eliminated. Ripper, Emily and MK is a lot more interesting and I don’t think a lot of people would even consider that one.

this was lowk better then what actually happened. more development to underrated characters or character who didnt shine much last season and priya and julia litr had no business making it so far this time
Here's how I would've done it. Episodes 1 and 2 are largely the same this time around, with slight hinting towards Caleb and Priya's connections. However, it's a lot more subtle than in the original, ny quite a much gawking from Priya. Millie still pushes Damien down the deathslide, but the team is a bit more divided. Scary Girl and Chase are the first two eliminated as usual. Episode 3 is now the ice challenge instead of the sap one, but the Rat Faces (well, most of them) still try to drive Millie away. Caleb, however, tries to mediate their conflict not only to restore the team's synergy but also in the hope that it will make Damien and Millie feel comfortable around him, which he hopes will intrigue Priya due to them being her friends. Nonetheless, his efforts are to no avail just yet. Before the challenge, MK reveals to Julia, Ripper and Bowie that she attended a production meeting the previous episode about the ensuing ice race, and stole a hairdryer and a remote. During the challenge, for the purpose of maintaining the conflicts, the teams now take the opposite paths. In the maze, Priya divided the team into groups to facilitate finding the keys, a strategy that Caleb uses as an opportunity to mingle with various teammates to develop connections. At some point, Caleb and Priya meet at an intersection and decide to go it together, bonding as they do so. Meanwhile, the Skunk Butts take on the obstacle course, with MK, Julia and Ripper using the remote to disarm the traps, and the hairdryer to melt the safe. Of course, Raj and Wayne are less than enthused by these tactics, and are even more shocked when they see Bowie encouraging it. Ultimately, thanks to MK, the Skunks win, but it turns out to have just been a reward challenge - nobody is getting eliminated. That night, Nichelle talks to Caleb about seeing him talking with Priya in the maze. Caleb says that he's considering forming an alliance with her to get further into the game, but that it's nothing special outside of that (or so he thinks). Nichelle is intrigued and offers to jump on the bandwagon as one of Caleb's longest-standing teammates. Caleb agrees to keep Nichelle posted about how things are coming along, and mentions his plan to repair the bridge between Millie and Damien. Episode 4 is back to the bridge. Whereas things play out pretty samey for the Rats (besides a bit more interaction between what I'll call The Five [Millie, Priya, Damien, Nichelle, Caleb], with Caleb offering to help Millie apologise to Damien), it's here where Raj fully catches onto Bowie's submission to the girls' cheating ways. It's because of this that the Hockey Bros begin to lose trust in their friend and worry that he's not sticking to his promise to play nicer. Despite this, their team still wins, and thanks to Nichelle and Caleb, Emma is eliminated in a 4-3-1 vote. At the end of the episode, Emma and Bowie reconcile and agree to being friends again, and MK returns the hairdryer to the trailer. Episode 5 is now where the merge begins, and with it comes the canoe challenge. Due to additional players and rivalries, the pairs are now as follows: Priya and Caleb, Bowie and Nichelle, Millie and Zee, Julia and Damien, Ripper and Axel, Wayne and Raj, and MK and the bear. In the first round, Millie notices that Damien is really struggling against Julia and on the brink of falling off, so she decides to make a sacrifice and jump onto that canoe to knock Julia off and save Damien to get his attention, even if means she's disqualified from the challenge as well. This means that in Round 1, Priya, Bowie, Millie, Julia, Ripper, Raj, MK and Caleb are out, leaving only Zee, Wayne, Damien, Nichelle and Axel left, with the challenge immediately shifting into the horse round. While Priya, Millie and Caleb expand their chemistry by going to look for the idol, Bowie takes the time to come clean and apologise to Raj, admitting that while he just wanted to ensure his team didn't fall apart, he was still somewhat in the wrong for going along with the cheating ploy. Raj is quick to forgive him, saying that it's a bit like if someone who was new to hockey wore cleats on the ice so they wouldn't slip. Damien ends up winning immunity, and thanks Millie for getting him into a position where he could win, but asks why she even bothered. Millie then says sorry for what happened in the side challenge while Caleb acts as a guide, mediating the conflict as he originally intended. This time, Damien and Millie make up, and The Five immediately solidify their status as an alliance. Julia and MK, noticing this, decide to set up a plan to get two juggernauts out for the price of one. MK, the less obvious threat of the two, convinces The Five that it was Bowie's idea to cheat in the challenges, before lying to Axel, Ripper and Zee that Millie was planning on pushing any teammate down the deathslide if push came to shove, Zee and Axel included. At the elimination, Bowie (with The Five's votes) and Millie (MK, Julia, Zee, Ripper, Axel) tie with 5 votes each while MK only gets 3. Chris then announces a double elimination as MK and Julia anticipated. Bowie says a final goodbye to Wayne and Raj while rallying them, and Millie thanks Caleb for reinforcing her apology before departing. Priya now fully trusts Caleb as an ally, and wants to further develop a friendship with him. I'll post the remaining episodes as replies to this comment. Let me know what you think so far, and keep a close eye out.
@@voiceunderthecovers Heh, thanks. I figured that since many people were upset with Nichelle leaving so soon, I'd try to give her some plot relevance by involving her in a key story arc. It's kinda nice seeing her stoop to a lower level to help a friend like Caleb, or a fan like Priya. Anywho, on with the show. Before we get to Episode 6, it's in Episodes 4 and 5 that we see Zee gawk at Priya making out with a pillow and talk to Caleb about his alliance respectively. Just thought I'd mention it because I forgot about it last time and it'll be important later. Episode 6 is the cake-baking challenge with Owen as a guest judge, but since Nichelle is still around, we're gonna need to shake up the teams a little. So, now the teams are: - Priya & Caleb - Nichelle, Damien & Zee - MK, Axel & Ripper - Raj, Wayne & Julia And since there are now four teams, we have a fourth remote - the green "Spoil the Broth" remote summons All-Star finalists Mike and Zoey as extra hands in the kitchen. During the challenge, while Wayne and Raj get assaulted by chickens and make a rhino ejaculate, Priya and Caleb bond even further, to Nichelle's delight, but to Zee's chagrin. Zee doesn't know that Caleb's view of Priya has changed, but he still wants to keep her happy without letting things go too far. In the end, due to Nichelle sucking at cooking, Axel and Ripper spending the entire challenge making out and Priya culturing a pariah's armpit, the immunity goes to Wayne, Raj and Julia, and Axel is voted out as per the usual. Ripper still quits so they can still see each other, which was honestly a pretty smart move in my book. Episode 7 takes us through to the police dog challenge, complete with MacArthur guest appearance. Since there are now nine players left in the game, they only have two lives each, and the last two players left fleeing win. Beforehand, Priya talks to Nichelle about how good a friend Caleb was during the ice, canoe and baking challenges. Then, Caleb lets Nichelle in on the secret that ever since they went searching for the idol, he'd been experiencing some "feelings" for Priya. This prompts Nichelle to say in a confessional that she senses a romance blossoming between them. The usual hijinks ensue during the challenge, from Raj stripping naked to Caleb tackling Priya into a lake. In the end, it's Julia and MK who take the immunity by setting a trap for Nichelle. With the villainesses immune, The Four are left with no other option but to vote a Hockey Bro off the island due to Zee being a close ally. Ultimately, Raj is the 8th person eliminated from the season. By eliminating Raj earlier, Wayne is given more time to become play the game individually and independently, making his eventual win seem more deserved. Onto the pinball challenge next, and amid Zee's mouth trousers and Wayne's adventure we witness Priya and Caleb bonding to the max. Meanwhile, in Raj's absence, MK and Julia also get the bright idea to entice Wayne into joining their side by acting friendly towards him and truthfully mentioning the abandonment of their previous cheating ways. Priya wins immunity thanks to Caleb playing keep-away with MK, but Zee still spills the false beans, causing Priya to run away crying and Damien to storm off angrily. However, what makes the situation different is that Zee DOESN'T reveal everyone else's secrets. Instead, Nichelle and Caleb inform him of what actually happened. Zee, realising it was all a big misunderstanding, asks Nichelle, Caleb, and even Damien to join him in voting himself off, which in a vote of 4-3-1 ends up succeeding. I don't know what it is, but selflessly wanting to be voted off after a misunderstanding of a situation caused a rift in a relationship, all so Nichelle and Caleb can try to make amends with Priya, just seems like a very Zee thing to do. It also completes his arc in a way - the first time he was eliminated he didn't know where he went wrong, but now he WANTS to be eliminated BECAUSE he knows where he went wrong. Needless to say, going into Episode 9 and the hole-in-the-wall challenge, Priya is devastated, but instead of being flat-out angry, here she's more anguished and scared. This is the second time now that a friend has supposedly betrayed her, and so begins to doubt whether she can truly trust anyone. Caleb is also feeling particularly disheartened after his defamation, and begins to wonder if his game is over due to the backlash he receives from MK, Julia, Wayne and Damien. Nichelle, seeing all of this, knows that she has to do something, and decides to make it her top priority to help Caleb win the challenge so he can stay in the game and make things right. From there, things play out largely the same, minus Priya seeing Caleb's face everywhere. Caleb wins immunity, and Julia and MK have their little duel, with MK getting eliminated due to Julia's blame card. Priya is still very much distrustful of Caleb going into Episode 10, and it doesn't seem like Nichelle and Caleb are getting anywhere, so Nichelle tries to talk to her about the situation, with a little success. Afterwards, Priya goes and hides herself away in the confessional to think about what Nichelle said, but unbeknownst to her, Julia uses some tech skills that MK showed her to hide phones in the outhouse and have them play hurtful messages about Priya and the players she thought she could trust in order to weaken her, and giving her that same false advice on how to act around Caleb to get him back. The challenge plays out pretty similarly to the original, with Wayne being a punching bag, Priya pushing Caleb away due to the "voices in her head", and Julia and Damien having a rivalry. However, a few little changes are made to the punishments. - Instead of bees, the Chase punishment is now a lot more fitting. It's pretty much just a dirt bike stunt that drives the player away at high speed. Damien still receives this punishment and is carried off. - Since Raj is out of the game, we need a punishment for him, which Nichelle is due to receive during the challenge. I decided that in a simulation of Raj's actions during the police dog challenge, for wrongly picking Raj, Nichelle is stripped down to her shoes, causing her to run away out of embarrassment. Hey, it happened to Heather, so it can happen to her. Eventually, despite Julia using the "voices" to mess with Priya, Caleb manages to endure the flurry of punishments doled out and get through to her, and the two finally reconcile and kiss once again, deciding to reform The Four with Damien and Nichelle when they return. Julia still wins immunity, but shares it with Wayne instead of Caleb, and this is perfectly logical. If she had given it to anyone else, The Four would've just voted Wayne out, but here, they are forced to vote amongst themselves. Ultimately, Priya is the one eliminated in a 3-2-1 vote, but she doesn't mind quite as much now that she and Caleb are back together. The two share one final kiss before Priya is carried off into the moonlight, finishing her story on a much happier note than before. Our final five consists of Damien, Caleb, Wayne, Nichelle and Julia. Arguably a much better final five since it now contains three people who didn't make the merge the first time, whereas in the original it was just Caleb. Episode 11 is now home to the sap challenge, and to up the ante, it now takes place at night, and is an auto-elimination challenge, in which the last player to reach the finish line is automatically eliminated. During the race, Wayne is feeling a bit doubtful of his skills due to his lacklustre performance in the last three challenges, but soon cheers up when Caleb gives him a pep talk. Meanwhile, Damien and Julia's rivalry is a bit more fleshed out when the two get stuck to each other and have to fight for the last spot in the final four. Julia ends up crossing the finish line first, meaning that Damien is eliminated in 5th place. While the two are sprayed clean, Julia secretly steals a note from Damien's pocket to remind him of where to put the immunity idol. Damien says his goodbyes to Caleb, Nichelle and Wayne before hitching a drone ride home. How ironic - Damien finds a get-out-of-elimination-free card and then gets eliminated in the one instance where it's ineligible. Episode 12 is very similar to the original, with Julia "bonding" with Wayne like she did in Episodes 8 and 10, hoping to get an ally to hypnotise into taking her to the finale as well as matching Nichelle and Caleb's alliance (now The Two). Caleb still wins the hook challenge, but with Priya gone, Julia's idol play now gets Nichelle out of the game. Our final three are once again Caleb, Julia and Wayne, but a few changes are made to the teams as you'll see below. - Team Caleb: Nichelle, Damien, Priya, Millie, Zee - Team Wayne: Raj, Bowie, Emma, Axel, Ripper - Team Julia: MK, Chase Team Caleb and Team Wayne agree to a mutual alliance of 12 to take "Beast Mode Julia" out of the running, which proves somewhat easier said than done when having to deal with tech-whiz MK, prank-o-maniac Chase and even Scary Girl. However, in the end, Wayne the fireball still manages to beat out Caleb and Miss Mullet, taking home the million. While Priya and Caleb kiss once more and the rest of their team embrace, Wayne and Raj start spitballing about what to do with the million. The members of Teams Caleb and Wayne then come together to wrap up the season with a loud, booming, utterly earthshaking... "HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!"

Pretty fun, definitely enjoyed this version more than the original. One issue though, why keep Raj in the game if you're not going to do much with him?
He did a bit on his own, mainly serving as comic relief, a catalyst for Julia’s growing distrust in MK and to be able to exist with Wayne or Bowie for a few episodes. He also had his friendship with Caleb and Damien.
I like this except for the Zee x Emma plot Mainly because I'm more of a Chazee shipper and prefer Emma to be single Edit: I dont like the fact Julia got 6th. I would've preferred her in the finale.
i watched the entire thing and it was great only thing i would really change is having priya quit on her own because she realizes her parents are awful and caleb supporting her through it. great rewrite

I typically don't like rerwrites but good lord this was GOOD!! I love all of the character choices! My biggest problem with S2 was that it felt like the finalists and ESPECIALLY the winner felt like they had nonexistent/boring arcs. This fixes all of that!

I really appreciate the story arcs the characters who got shafted by Prileb got from this, they definitely provide more engaging drama than just one couple that breaks up and gets back together. Them being the double elimination at least let's season 3 have the plot pick up and not drag season 2.
The voice impressions were very immersive and like others mention, the Caleb and Zee are pretty good, sounds like them. "Emily" definitely needed that redemption and Zee becoming a more complex character than just haha soda is what we really need for him.
Damian, even though he lost, he went out on his own terms, giving up his immunity idol, becoming the selfless hero that uses it to not save himself, but a friend. He really should've had a better alliance or at least friend to keep him from getting too panicked since Ripper and Damian friendship was amazing for both.
I really appreciate how much people like the Ripper and Damien dynamic - they were my favorites to write too.

Aleheather was season finale, and Chris didn't want Duncan gone immediately after coming back so he rigged it for him, though it does show how his character got worse from the love triangle since they kept him longer than needed.

All Stars kept Mike and Zoey, ending up ruining the story since it's all about them like Prileb.
Honestly Shawn and Jasmine are probably the only long running couple that was good when they stayed.
You splitting Ripper from Axel and kept him in the game allowed for him to grow and give Damian more shine. That is the writing of old Total Drama that we miss.

Here's how I would've done it.
Episodes 1 and 2 are largely the same this time around, with slight hinting towards Caleb and Priya's connections. However, it's a lot more subtle than in the original, ny quite a much gawking from Priya. Millie still pushes Damien down the deathslide, but the team is a bit more divided. Scary Girl and Chase are the first two eliminated as usual.
Episode 3 is now the ice challenge instead of the sap one, but the Rat Faces (well, most of them) still try to drive Millie away. Caleb, however, tries to mediate their conflict not only to restore the team's synergy but also in the hope that it will make Damien and Millie feel comfortable around him, which he hopes will intrigue Priya due to them being her friends. Nonetheless, his efforts are to no avail just yet. Before the challenge, MK reveals to Julia, Ripper and Bowie that she attended a production meeting the previous episode about the ensuing ice race, and stole a hairdryer and a remote.
During the challenge, for the purpose of maintaining the conflicts, the teams now take the opposite paths. In the maze, Priya divided the team into groups to facilitate finding the keys, a strategy that Caleb uses as an opportunity to mingle with various teammates to develop connections. At some point, Caleb and Priya meet at an intersection and decide to go it together, bonding as they do so.
Meanwhile, the Skunk Butts take on the obstacle course, with MK, Julia and Ripper using the remote to disarm the traps, and the hairdryer to melt the safe. Of course, Raj and Wayne are less than enthused by these tactics, and are even more shocked when they see Bowie encouraging it.
Ultimately, thanks to MK, the Skunks win, but it turns out to have just been a reward challenge - nobody is getting eliminated. That night, Nichelle talks to Caleb about seeing him talking with Priya in the maze. Caleb says that he's considering forming an alliance with her to get further into the game, but that it's nothing special outside of that (or so he thinks). Nichelle is intrigued and offers to jump on the bandwagon as one of Caleb's longest-standing teammates. Caleb agrees to keep Nichelle posted about how things are coming along, and mentions his plan to repair the bridge between Millie and Damien.
Episode 4 is back to the bridge. Whereas things play out pretty samey for the Rats (besides a bit more interaction between what I'll call The Five [Millie, Priya, Damien, Nichelle, Caleb], with Caleb offering to help Millie apologise to Damien), it's here where Raj fully catches onto Bowie's submission to the girls' cheating ways. It's because of this that the Hockey Bros begin to lose trust in their friend and worry that he's not sticking to his promise to play nicer. Despite this, their team still wins, and thanks to Nichelle and Caleb, Emma is eliminated in a 4-3-1 vote. At the end of the episode, Emma and Bowie reconcile and agree to being friends again, and MK returns the hairdryer to the trailer.
Episode 5 is now where the merge begins, and with it comes the canoe challenge. Due to additional players and rivalries, the pairs are now as follows: Priya and Caleb, Bowie and Nichelle, Millie and Zee, Julia and Damien, Ripper and Axel, Wayne and Raj, and MK and the bear. In the first round, Millie notices that Damien is really struggling against Julia and on the brink of falling off, so she decides to make a sacrifice and jump onto that canoe to knock Julia off and save Damien to get his attention, even if means she's disqualified from the challenge as well. This means that in Round 1, Priya, Bowie, Millie, Julia, Ripper, Raj, MK and Caleb are out, leaving only Zee, Wayne, Damien, Nichelle and Axel left, with the challenge immediately shifting into the horse round. While Priya, Millie and Caleb expand their chemistry by going to look for the idol, Bowie takes the time to come clean and apologise to Raj, admitting that while he just wanted to ensure his team didn't fall apart, he was still somewhat in the wrong for going along with the cheating ploy. Raj is quick to forgive him, saying that it's a bit like if someone who was new to hockey wore cleats on the ice so they wouldn't slip. Damien ends up winning immunity, and thanks Millie for getting him into a position where he could win, but asks why she even bothered. Millie then says sorry for what happened in the side challenge while Caleb acts as a guide, mediating the conflict as he originally intended. This time, Damien and Millie make up, and The Five immediately solidify their status as an alliance. Julia and MK, noticing this, decide to set up a plan to get two juggernauts out for the price of one. MK, the less obvious threat of the two, convinces The Five that it was Bowie's idea to cheat in the challenges, before lying to Axel, Ripper and Zee that Millie was planning on pushing any teammate down the deathslide if push came to shove, Zee and Axel included. At the elimination, Bowie (with The Five's votes) and Millie (MK, Julia, Zee, Ripper, Axel) tie with 5 votes each while MK only gets 3. Chris then announces a double elimination as MK and Julia anticipated. Bowie says a final goodbye to Wayne and Raj while rallying them, and Millie thanks Caleb for reinforcing her apology before departing. Priya now fully trusts Caleb as an ally, and wants to further develop a friendship with him.
I'll post the remaining episodes as replies to this comment. Let me know what you think so far, and keep a close eye out.
I like the idea of Caleb and Nichelle teaming up. They do seem like a fun alliance!
@@voiceunderthecovers Heh, thanks. I figured that since many people were upset with Nichelle leaving so soon, I'd try to give her some plot relevance by involving her in a key story arc. It's kinda nice seeing her stoop to a lower level to help a friend like Caleb, or a fan like Priya. Anywho, on with the show.
Before we get to Episode 6, it's in Episodes 4 and 5 that we see Zee gawk at Priya making out with a pillow and talk to Caleb about his alliance respectively. Just thought I'd mention it because I forgot about it last time and it'll be important later.
Episode 6 is the cake-baking challenge with Owen as a guest judge, but since Nichelle is still around, we're gonna need to shake up the teams a little. So, now the teams are:
- Priya & Caleb
- Nichelle, Damien & Zee
- MK, Axel & Ripper
- Raj, Wayne & Julia
And since there are now four teams, we have a fourth remote - the green "Spoil the Broth" remote summons All-Star finalists Mike and Zoey as extra hands in the kitchen.
During the challenge, while Wayne and Raj get assaulted by chickens and make a rhino ejaculate, Priya and Caleb bond even further, to Nichelle's delight, but to Zee's chagrin. Zee doesn't know that Caleb's view of Priya has changed, but he still wants to keep her happy without letting things go too far.
In the end, due to Nichelle sucking at cooking, Axel and Ripper spending the entire challenge making out and Priya culturing a pariah's armpit, the immunity goes to Wayne, Raj and Julia, and Axel is voted out as per the usual. Ripper still quits so they can still see each other, which was honestly a pretty smart move in my book.
Episode 7 takes us through to the police dog challenge, complete with MacArthur guest appearance. Since there are now nine players left in the game, they only have two lives each, and the last two players left fleeing win. Beforehand, Priya talks to Nichelle about how good a friend Caleb was during the ice, canoe and baking challenges. Then, Caleb lets Nichelle in on the secret that ever since they went searching for the idol, he'd been experiencing some "feelings" for Priya. This prompts Nichelle to say in a confessional that she senses a romance blossoming between them. The usual hijinks ensue during the challenge, from Raj stripping naked to Caleb tackling Priya into a lake. In the end, it's Julia and MK who take the immunity by setting a trap for Nichelle. With the villainesses immune, The Four are left with no other option but to vote a Hockey Bro off the island due to Zee being a close ally. Ultimately, Raj is the 8th person eliminated from the season. By eliminating Raj earlier, Wayne is given more time to become play the game individually and independently, making his eventual win seem more deserved.
Onto the pinball challenge next, and amid Zee's mouth trousers and Wayne's adventure we witness Priya and Caleb bonding to the max. Meanwhile, in Raj's absence, MK and Julia also get the bright idea to entice Wayne into joining their side by acting friendly towards him and truthfully mentioning the abandonment of their previous cheating ways. Priya wins immunity thanks to Caleb playing keep-away with MK, but Zee still spills the false beans, causing Priya to run away crying and Damien to storm off angrily. However, what makes the situation different is that Zee DOESN'T reveal everyone else's secrets. Instead, Nichelle and Caleb inform him of what actually happened. Zee, realising it was all a big misunderstanding, asks Nichelle, Caleb, and even Damien to join him in voting himself off, which in a vote of 4-3-1 ends up succeeding. I don't know what it is, but selflessly wanting to be voted off after a misunderstanding of a situation caused a rift in a relationship, all so Nichelle and Caleb can try to make amends with Priya, just seems like a very Zee thing to do. It also completes his arc in a way - the first time he was eliminated he didn't know where he went wrong, but now he WANTS to be eliminated BECAUSE he knows where he went wrong.
Needless to say, going into Episode 9 and the hole-in-the-wall challenge, Priya is devastated, but instead of being flat-out angry, here she's more anguished and scared. This is the second time now that a friend has supposedly betrayed her, and so begins to doubt whether she can truly trust anyone. Caleb is also feeling particularly disheartened after his defamation, and begins to wonder if his game is over due to the backlash he receives from MK, Julia, Wayne and Damien. Nichelle, seeing all of this, knows that she has to do something, and decides to make it her top priority to help Caleb win the challenge so he can stay in the game and make things right. From there, things play out largely the same, minus Priya seeing Caleb's face everywhere. Caleb wins immunity, and Julia and MK have their little duel, with MK getting eliminated due to Julia's blame card.
Priya is still very much distrustful of Caleb going into Episode 10, and it doesn't seem like Nichelle and Caleb are getting anywhere, so Nichelle tries to talk to her about the situation, with a little success. Afterwards, Priya goes and hides herself away in the confessional to think about what Nichelle said, but unbeknownst to her, Julia uses some tech skills that MK showed her to hide phones in the outhouse and have them play hurtful messages about Priya and the players she thought she could trust in order to weaken her, and giving her that same false advice on how to act around Caleb to get him back. The challenge plays out pretty similarly to the original, with Wayne being a punching bag, Priya pushing Caleb away due to the "voices in her head", and Julia and Damien having a rivalry. However, a few little changes are made to the punishments.
- Instead of bees, the Chase punishment is now a lot more fitting. It's pretty much just a dirt bike stunt that drives the player away at high speed. Damien still receives this punishment and is carried off.
- Since Raj is out of the game, we need a punishment for him, which Nichelle is due to receive during the challenge. I decided that in a simulation of Raj's actions during the police dog challenge, for wrongly picking Raj, Nichelle is stripped down to her shoes, causing her to run away out of embarrassment. Hey, it happened to Heather, so it can happen to her.
Eventually, despite Julia using the "voices" to mess with Priya, Caleb manages to endure the flurry of punishments doled out and get through to her, and the two finally reconcile and kiss once again, deciding to reform The Four with Damien and Nichelle when they return.
Julia still wins immunity, but shares it with Wayne instead of Caleb, and this is perfectly logical. If she had given it to anyone else, The Four would've just voted Wayne out, but here, they are forced to vote amongst themselves. Ultimately, Priya is the one eliminated in a 3-2-1 vote, but she doesn't mind quite as much now that she and Caleb are back together. The two share one final kiss before Priya is carried off into the moonlight, finishing her story on a much happier note than before.
Our final five consists of Damien, Caleb, Wayne, Nichelle and Julia. Arguably a much better final five since it now contains three people who didn't make the merge the first time, whereas in the original it was just Caleb. Episode 11 is now home to the sap challenge, and to up the ante, it now takes place at night, and is an auto-elimination challenge, in which the last player to reach the finish line is automatically eliminated. During the race, Wayne is feeling a bit doubtful of his skills due to his lacklustre performance in the last three challenges, but soon cheers up when Caleb gives him a pep talk. Meanwhile, Damien and Julia's rivalry is a bit more fleshed out when the two get stuck to each other and have to fight for the last spot in the final four. Julia ends up crossing the finish line first, meaning that Damien is eliminated in 5th place. While the two are sprayed clean, Julia secretly steals a note from Damien's pocket to remind him of where to put the immunity idol. Damien says his goodbyes to Caleb, Nichelle and Wayne before hitching a drone ride home. How ironic - Damien finds a get-out-of-elimination-free card and then gets eliminated in the one instance where it's ineligible.
Episode 12 is very similar to the original, with Julia "bonding" with Wayne like she did in Episodes 8 and 10, hoping to get an ally to hypnotise into taking her to the finale as well as matching Nichelle and Caleb's alliance (now The Two). Caleb still wins the hook challenge, but with Priya gone, Julia's idol play now gets Nichelle out of the game.
Our final three are once again Caleb, Julia and Wayne, but a few changes are made to the teams as you'll see below.
- Team Caleb: Nichelle, Damien, Priya, Millie, Zee
- Team Wayne: Raj, Bowie, Emma, Axel, Ripper
- Team Julia: MK, Chase
Team Caleb and Team Wayne agree to a mutual alliance of 12 to take "Beast Mode Julia" out of the running, which proves somewhat easier said than done when having to deal with tech-whiz MK, prank-o-maniac Chase and even Scary Girl. However, in the end, Wayne the fireball still manages to beat out Caleb and Miss Mullet, taking home the million. While Priya and Caleb kiss once more and the rest of their team embrace, Wayne and Raj start spitballing about what to do with the million. The members of Teams Caleb and Wayne then come together to wrap up the season with a loud, booming, utterly earthshaking...
"HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!"

Pretty fun, definitely enjoyed this version more than the original. One issue though, why keep Raj in the game if you're not going to do much with him?
He did a bit on his own, mainly serving as comic relief, a catalyst for Julia’s growing distrust in MK and to be able to exist with Wayne or Bowie for a few episodes. He also had his friendship with Caleb and Damien.

I typically don't like rerwrites but good lord this was GOOD!! I love all of the character choices! My biggest problem with S2 was that it felt like the finalists and ESPECIALLY the winner felt like they had nonexistent/boring arcs. This fixes all of that!
