Hopefully they left a blueprint for the estate to follow. Fingers crossed! I like the idea of a "Paisley Park Music Academy." Where students learn hands-on how to use top-notch equipment, and about the music business, e.g. contracts and representation, etc. I know Prince would dig that.

They can open one of the studios to new recording artists and having concerts on a regular basis. I shudder 2 think of that family being in charge, though...they argue over everything.

💜Prince has always been a huge inspiration to other musicians and performers, even from the very beginning of his career. I always thought that after Prince's death that the estate should have brought in different people who Prince influence.
People from all forms of music. Pop, Rock, R&B, Newave, Punk Funk, Country, Dance, Soul, Metal, Grunge, Electronica, Blues, Jazz, Swing, Reggae, Alternative, Gospel, Rap, Hip-Hop and even Classical.
When he passed away new performers were talking about how great Prince was...so I felt it was a mistake for the estate to only bring in people that the newer generations didn't know or cared about.
It's so expensive to travel these days, not to mention a place to stay when you arrive. And of course you want to make sure you get as many souvenirs as you possibly can. Museums have a hard time staying open. So opening PAISLEY PARK for concerts would help cover a lot of expenses to keep the museum going and also help with all the charitable things that Prince wanted to do.
Thank you for keeping us informed. We need reliable information that we can count on. 💜🎸💜🎤💜🎹💜

I think they should do whatever it was tht Prince wanted to do with PP. I know people say tht, but, he helped allot of musicians out. I've got allot of thoughts. I just believe tht whatever his plan was, hopefully it will be respected and carried out. As I said before, he helped so many. (In many different ways) Thnx for the video!

don't agree about opening the studios for others to use. to me the integrity of prince's space, particularly studio a needs to be kept as is. there's other ways to work with children and schools and it's being done. the performance space should be used for other acts, as long as people coming in respect prince's house. nothing done should ever not be with prince and his wishes in mind. i don't want him to become a cheap commodity. prince is a unique individual and icon and historical figure. I support the estate in every way I can. the estate is working smart, it's prince's family I worry about. they are unsophisticated to say the least and prince supported most all of them financially. I don't want this to become a money grab. paisley park has nothing in common with neverland. prince has no scandal attached to his name and I was told by a local hotel manager that there are 8 fortune 500 businesses in Chanhassen (the town that PRINCE built!) and they have discussed that they will never allow paisley to close. they have a plan in place were that to be on the horizon. prince was a great neighbor and i'm glad his neighbors care about him as well. also, they appreciate the revenue that has come in because of the museum and want it to keep on. business is great in Chanhassen and MPLS because of prince and the fans who want to come to 'the Park.' and let's not forget about prince's remains. his family needs to bring them out of the basement and find a dignified place for them within paisley and those who want to pay their respects can.

Great scoop TVR. It's a conundrum definitely. Loved the ariel shots of PP 👌 and my question is one of sustainability. Where are the solar panels Vance Jones talked about? How can 'they' make PP more accessible? (train link + park and ride?) Accommodation that's on sliding scale? Seasonal themed events? One glaring thing TVR brought up is Education Education Education. Low cost visits for every single school in Minneapolis. The Minnesota local government and tourist board need to support fully. Paisley Park could become more magical than any tourist attraction. Get the associates in NOW! Get their recollections and experiences of PP recorded and archieved. Jerome said he'd be delighted to do some VIP tours. Develop the land around PP that hasn't been sold off already to accommodate the vision. Cinematic complex like IMAX? Tech companies? The coding charities? My head is exploding. What a great opportunity this gem of a complex presents. Prince no longer occupies the earth but his enduring spirit permeates everywhere, everywhere 🌌🌠. Whoever owns or will eventually own PP I hope you will prevail and wish you every success. 💜

His Studio was his, I don't agree with others using it, We will remember him there & that's what will keep his home more special to visit, I believe that Prince would want it that way, Scary his family's in charge.

  • @PurpleMusicPrincePianoCovers

Aside from cleaning the roof, and putting a giant purple and gold symbol on there, packed to the brim with high intensity lights that can be seen from space. I would like to see them open up a section where those in grade school through college can come to learn about music or how to play an instrument. I cannot think of a better place to be inspired than Paisley Park. Lessons could be given daily on music theory and hands on craft by professional music teachers. Prince was very consistent in his wish that the younger generation pick up an instrument, as to not lose this art form.

Princes former band members , protégés and quality stars inspired by Prince jamming /recording together from his unreleased songs/material in the vault and performing concerts similar to Princes legendary after shows. With Prince concerts on large screens . Memorabilia. Tours. Classes and collaborations. I can imagine Prince inspired art and the space to create it and release it into the world, as; song, music composition, visual arts , crafts, fashion, story telling, poetry, spoken word, dance, performance arts , film and videography, all of a sacred nature and calibre.....positive vibrations radiating out far and wide, a true legacy, 'Yes'

I really would like to see Paisley Park being used as a studio again. Newer acts being able to use it's facilities as originally intended for recording. Also to use the giant stage areas in Paisley Park for newer acts to use as rehearsal space for their tours. Also having many live acts related to Prince's legacy for concerts at Paisley Park. I also agree to have Paisley Park as a teaching tool for younger musicians wanting to get into the music industry. I hope the family stays levelheaded and does everything to keep Prince's legacy alive and well. Definitely keep the tours going on for the fans.

No offence but one cant compare Paisley Park to Neverland.....Paisley had a function beyond being an amusement Park AND various revenue streams that can still be maintained , perhaps with minor adjustments...Neverland was a playground that was filled with weird and wonderful trinkets, Museum worthy perhaps, but the vibes left behind from the questions about Michaels guilt or innocence have left a stain .Paisley Park carries no such stigma....Its still shining with a Flawless reputation , like the Prince who used to Live there.....Id like to see them carry on with the tours, and your suggestion about hooking in the younger generation needs to be seriously considered....I dont think there is any fear of Princes music or Paisley falling to the wayside, into oblivion though.....You only need to trawl the youtube comments under his music, there are new fans being made all the time, and just like most of us they start somewhere, work backwards and then forwards again...His fame is still waxing, We wont get to see the extent of it on our lifetime though...Most interesting person since Jesus....:)

I realize they need to attract casual and new fans, showcasing the hits is important. But I would like them to add more exclusive videos and songs on the museum tour. The video in the editing room is something you can watch online. The track used in the studio was Hot Thing, while a great song, it’s not the track(MP3) I would pick to showcase. Cue up some Lust U Always!
Show some live footage, unreleased videos on the soundstage as well.
And Most of all let us see the VAULT, at least the room where you enter the vault.

The sad thing is the location. People usually have limited vacation time & limited funds for that time... meaning they like to get a bang in several different ways for their lonely buck. As you noted, Graceland's in Memphis. There's lots of stuff to do, plus it's within close proximity to Nashville.
Not only that, but Priscilla Presley really deserves a lot of credit for continuing the legacy of and interest in Elvis in ways that kept him relevant to younger generations long after his passing. She's a marketing genius. Graceland preserved his memorabilia. She marketed. She turned him into a phenomenon.
Paisley Park doesn't have much in the way of marketing. Furthermore, people want to be nosey. They want to see where Prince slept... where he ate...what TV he watched in what room. They want to get that up close and private look into a private life worth traveling and paying to see. That's provided at Graceland, whereas Paisley Park is more of a Hard Rock experience.
I think they should make it a whole Prince experience. For instance, he owned the Purple Rain house. That should've been set up like the film set, complete with his outfits & cycle from the film, and as part of a museum package that incorporates the larger city... including First Avenue... with maybe a Prince impersonator.
Priscilla turned Elvis into an amusement park. It seems grimey to do the same with Prince as we know his artistic integrity, but if Paisley Park is to survive the times... the same will need to be done. They need to offer people a whole Prince experience, rather than just a show and tell to make it enticing for people to spend their hard-earned money and limited vacation time in an often freezing cold climate with little else to do.
Paisley Park offers more of a Hard Rock experience.

I don't think putting it in the hands of the family is a good idea at all - they argue about 2 flies walking up the wall - plus from what I can see Prince wasn't too keen on his family at the best of times. Who is "the Prince Estate"? Who is running that? Opening it up - not all of it - but opening it up for teaching kids how to play different instruments would be good. Prince saw himself in a teaching capacity once he'd finished performing. Opening it up for just anyone to use the recording studios I don't agree with. Whatever happens, the integrity of Paisley Park must be maintained, it mustn't be put into the hands of those who would ruin it. That would be heartbreaking to see it ruined 💜

By the way, Elvis has been gone for 42 years and Graceland has been opened to the public since 1982. It is second only to the White House in the number of visitors per year. New exhibits and attractions are constantly being added. Two new boxsets of unreleased performances were just released, and more unreleased concert footage is on the way. Oh, and a major motion picture biopic featuring Tom Hanks as Col. Tom Parker. Graceland also has opened a major concert venue which is drawing many major artists, and there is a new adult animated Elvis series coming soon on Netflix. 42 years after the mans passing, he is still just as popular, if not more, than he was when he was living. So, yes....there are plenty of people who are still interested in Elvis. Don't know if you have ever serously checked him out ...probably not, because if you had, even if his music was not your taste, you certainly wouldn't be able to deny his talent, presence, charisma, and that voice! The man could sing anything, and he did. Also you would learn of the cultural and social impact he had , and you would see the influence he had on everything and everyone who came after....including MJ and Prince. So if you are not interested in Elvis.....you are certainly in the minority.

WRONG. I have been to Graceland 2 times and that museum is run REALLY well. The Presley family has additional business partners who helped grow the business. A big hotel/conference center has been built next door to the mansion property and across the street there is a large museum complex where more of Elvis's personal items are on display. That is one of the most visited homes in the U.S. next to the White House. That museum employs a lot of people from Memphis. And yes Elvis's original fans are old now, but that museum is reaching out to younger fans and attracting them by special events. Elvis is a big part of Rock and Roll music history. Graceland will be around for a long time. Tina you need to check your facts.
