He wasn’t from this planet. He was so far beyond his time. No one has yet to even hold a flame to Prince. I feel like he’s still here with all of his music and his brilliance ❤
When Prince sings it you know who wrote it. Nothing compares to Prince.
Hell yes he wrote it
You said a mouthful!
And his version is the one I love the best!! I never listen to Sinead's. I liked it until I found Prince's!! LOVE ME SOME PRINCE💜💜💜
I always laugh when people say he is doing a cover of this song... It's his song!
True but my god Sinéad O’Conner’s version is so good it’s easy to mistake it for the definitive version. She was made to sing this song.
@@Thelma7361No it’s not.
Correct!
@@stephenperkins9945 A quick Google search will confirm that he WROTE it.
The genius wrote it and an angel covered it 🖤 there's no bad cover to this. Chris Cornell does a terrific version too
The natural born talent of this man is beyond words.
ask to the people worked with HIM, IT IS NOT NATURAL BORN , HE WAS TRAINING OVER 12 HRS A DAY.
Training helps for sure; but you gotta have it to train it, and Prince sure had it !@@mattiacenacchi726
and then it means that hard work always pays off@@mattiacenacchi726
Well Said Sir.
Amazing. Nothing compares to Prince. RIP.
Mascara, body glitter, and he'll still steal your girl.

Him, David Bowie and Billy Idol
That's god damn right.
Eric Clapton was asked “What does it feel like to be the best guitarist of all time?”
Eric: “When I see Prince I’ll ask him.”
LOVE ❤
Kerouac Cossel
That's just BS.
@@roba6660able No, it's not. Prince was an unreal guitarist, easily top 5 of all time if not the best.
@davidziemann9653 I'm not commenting on his guitar skills. I'm saying the Eric Clapton story is bullshit. That story has been used about a bunch of players since the 80's. It's the story. Not his playing. I know he was a great player.
Prince was a master innovator. Way ahead of the curve. Tragic that he died too soon.
3 legends who sang this song are now gone. Prince, Chris Cornell and now Sinead. Damn this song is a heartbreaker. Rest in peace Prince, Chris and Sinead
They're performing their symphonies in heaven and when I die I'll hear all your songs again Chris Cornell Prince and Sinead in Heaven
Hope theyre singing all together now, for eternity.
P!nk is still alive, and her version is beautiful`

If ever there was a person born with music in his blood, Prince was the one. He was music personified.

Music in his blood? To which he then added a whole lot of heroin to.
That sounds so good, now I'm envious I didn't come up with that.

Man I miss this Dude!!!
Me too 😢
Prince and MJ such a massive loss for music they still had so much left to give 💜
This will sound insane, but I believe Prince was underrated.
He was so talented. More so than michèal Jackson
I don't think that's insane at all...I just recently figured out that Prince is a badass guitarist. It's like I passed judgment on him because I feel like his earlier albums kind of hide his guitar playing ability. So now I'm sort of re-discovering Prince, there's a lot more there than I realized.
The most underrated artist.
We always knew we were in the presence of greatness with Prince. Underrated: Never. He was and is the ultimate vibe 💕
Agreed
Everybody coming on here disrespecting Prince in comparison to Sinead’s version needs to understand this is his song. His writing. His genius. I agree Sinead’s version was beautiful, but there’s no reason to put Prince down because of that. Sinead would not have made such a great song if it wasn’t for Prince’s brilliant writing.
THANK U!
Ungreatful pricks, no respect for black genius. He gave away many songs to artists for free that became their biggest hits.
Yes it’s a great song but he massacres it, turning it into an overblown jumble of egotistical noise.
Sinead O’Connor’s version is stripped down and actually sounds like what it means - a knowingly self-piteous cry of pain to a love lost.
This is just Prince & Co showing off, totally out of tune with the meaning of his own song.
I prefer this guy over Anyone, but Cornell's version is GOOD
Prince is a true artist O'connor is nothing in comparison.
honestly, Prince giving some of his best songs to particular artists is one of the most beautiful things ever. Sinead O'Connor singing this was one of the great moments in music history.
He actually didn't want her to sing this song. He was signed to a label. He protested. Later, Sinead told the story of how Prince cornered her in California,(La) chasing her around a car threatening to kick her a$$.
There are so many musical moments that leave this as a fart in the wind. What an absurd take. I mean Mozart, Beethoven, etc and you think this is a historical moment? Raise the bar, kiddo. Love the song, by far done best by Prince, but it's not even a ripple on the ocean of music history. Hyperbolic much?
Can we just give props to Prince for always having insanely talented women in his band??? That girl murdered that sax solo
The least I can do is give props, this gave me chills.
Dude I played sax for 7 years or so in school band/jazz band. I've never even entered the stratosphere that she was in for this performance.
I give her props but also that female back up singer . What a voice! Sounded like Mavis Staples up there.!
Probably staged
Hope he knows we still love him ❤
Prince didn't pass. He lives in his wonderful music. It is immortal.
Yes
He's gone but he will always be remembered 💜
Stas Shustov, Amen to that.

Prince was my first Love. The year was 1978. I was still in elementary school. I have loved Prince since then, to the day he took his last breath (April 21, 2016). He will always have a place in my heart. 🕊️
78 was th year that I knew that PRINCE WAS one to make it even before he became a ⭐🌟✨💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I live near Paisley Park & grew up in this era. I was blessed to be able to go to many Paisley Park Shows. He get word out & locals would show up. Such a cool experience. Youd see him living in Chanhassen being a normal guy riding his bike around shopping walking etc. People let him be & live his life. He did do much for the town & state, but he always did it anonymously.
Can we appreciate that perfect face with no plastic surgery … The most gorgeous, sexy, talented 5’2 man that ever lived 🙌🏽🙌🏽💜💜💜
I've always said, after seeing him live, that is the tallest 5'2 I've ever seen! His stage persona was larger than life. How lucky to have been alive during his time!
Man I miss this man. I think we really need him right now. His alternate and principled vision.
My brothers and I went to Highschool with him in Minnesota. He was always so far ahead of his time. Sometimes I still wonder if the world will ever catch, see or experience his vision.
Prince's generosity and humility in front of others in his band is unique. No ego. He sings this songs like nobody dont need anyone. Just him and his piano. He composes everything. We miss his talent every day .
@juanalcarazperez4229 there are tons of stories of how he used to arrive in towns a couple of days before shows, and just show up and jam with local bands.

Is that why he banned his music being played on radio?
So was Stevie Wonder! The same I can say about him!

I saw him in The Purple Rain Tour, and it was one of the best times of my life...with that I know he is in a good place and the world is the better for having Prince.. sometimes you just want to be on stage to be seen... and hey we all want a ribbon..with those outfits a person wants to be the peacock in the yard

Just another tortured artist. It is what makes them so so special. Many make it though many do not.

Jeremy Stickle you’ve got some unresolved or undercover things going on. His song writing skills are undeniable! If u wanna cry don’t watch his performance at the super bowl! He gets on that guitar tho it’s to fuckin much 😃
They asked Eric Clapton what it was like to be the greatest guitar player of all time, Eric Clapton said, "I don't know, why don't you ask Prince!". Incredible, Incredible, Incredible!! Cant believe he's gone 😞
FACTS!
Here’s another fact in a 1994 or 95 interview I think it was in Q magazine Prince was very competitive about his guitar playing and competitively said things about Eric Clapton that suggested Prince was also a guitar hero. I forget exactly what it was but it stood out to me because I was like whoa at the time but if you want to do research what prince said it’s very interesting kind of true.

That’s not true, Clapton never said that. However, Prince was definitely a better guitarist that Eric Clapton.
That’s actually a myth. He actually did say that except he said that about Phil Keaggy.

Yeah... the only condition was that they would have to have sex with him. Nice guy.
Look... you know what. As a person, I think Prince was a piece of..... (I don't want youtube to block me). As a musician? He was great.

@@portuguesehydrangea4818 I never followed Sinead in 90s, but now learning about her and her history.. what an amazing human being. Trying to stand up for children who were being sexually abused in the church, being true to herself by for example shaving her head when the "industry" wanted her more feminine, finding peace in Isalam, even though I believe she believed in the Holy Spirit too. I was sad to hear about her son passing last year; and can't help wonder if her death may have been at her own hand. I guess time will tell. Such a strong soul; yet broken on the inside too. Her mom died when she was only 18, and even though her mom abused her according to Sinead, it seems she missed her mom terribly; and this song

@@lisajoy7628 not that I care if you believe me,
for the sake of continuity I will explain. "Dude" "what those who worked in his touring team referred to him as", taught me about continuity. His head of Security absolutely trusted me and relied on me to always be were they couldn't be. when he crowd surfed from the stage to the piano riser it was completely unrehearsed, in fact I asked him how we were going to get him there, and as always he just smiled and said don't worry about it. however when he crowd surfed back to the stage his security was on the crowd side of the barricade, when the crowd got him to the barricade he looked at me like " what now" the crowd handed him to me and I placed him on the stairs to the stage. he turned and blew me a kiss saying thank you. one of many wonderful memories of working for him.

Even today, I can't watch a Prince video without shedding tears because he was a BRILLIANT ARTIST! Owned his own masters when artists couldn't even do that. I just pray that he didn't suffer when he died. I do believe the angels came and got him from that elevator. Long live his music and I will forever love Prince!
💜
🥺
I feel as you do.I have prayed that he did not suffer and that someday the truth will come out on how he died. I love his music.
I wish a family member or friend had stayed with him that night. Well he was a very fine man that was underrated and not understood by friends or family.
you cry a lot, do you?
Rosie's vocals just gives me chills
She is amazing. The woman sax player so good
That's my boo❤. Nothing compares to my love for Prince.
MASTERPIECE❤🙏
We miss you so much Prince . Greatest musician who has ever lived, ever
So much talent wrapped up in prince.Gone but never forgotten.
michael jackson is the king prince jealous of the king of pop
rowell brao not sure why you think he’d be jealous of MJ? Prince wrote his own music and played multiple instruments, so no reason for him to be jealous of Michael!
Eric Johnson,. Yes.
@@pandabear4640 not as big as mj was.
In lockdown in 2020 and this unlocked emotions I didn't know I had.
I just cried too. I hadn't seen this before. 💜💜💜
Alex, I know exactly what you are feeling. Stay well
Yes - me too actually. I think Prince is utterly amazing and a legend. A legend who is able to reduce me to a blubbing mess just by his performance 🙏
PRINCE is a healing force around whole world. You are not along at all , so many around earth are under his sounds.
Yes💜🖤💜🖤💜
Wow. It's the crowd surfing for me. ❤❤❤
He left this Earth too soon. I always like his music, but I didn't appreciate his true genius until he was gone.
