The highly anticipated Marvel’s Avengers game by Square Enix is finally out, and our wishes for an amazing Avengers have finally been granted. Or have they? We’ve all been wanting an awesome AAA Avengers game for years, but is this it? With some odd game design, cosmetics, and transactional elements, it begs the question, how did the Marvel’s Avengers game really get made? Did this game magically come to fruition as the result of wishes made to a cursed monkey paw? Only this sketch will tell...

When Cap's eyes glowed red at the end, I thought it was Superman in disguise, sabotaging Marvel so DC will always have the best videogames.
Thats actually a pretty good theory would've gave the sketch a nice catch. Also it would have been funny since DC has recently been succeeding with many media forms. I mean look at how people reacted to DC Fandome.

2. Matter manipulation.
3. Immortality.
4. Shapeshifting.
You didn't ask to be able to control your teleportation powers. Have fun teleporting at the bottom of the ocean every time you fart!

1. You can't control where you teleport
2. You must be aware of the exact location of all the atoms you are trying to manipulate
3. You still physically age
4. You can only shapeshift into a monkey

Actually a great AAA Avengers game did come out. It's called Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 for the Switch. We live in a world where a Switch Avengers game has more characters, better art direction, framerate, better DLC, and Multi-player. No, for real, how do you fuck up this hard Square Enix and IOS?

I'm actually playing Avengers right now. I don't regret buying it. I still prefer it over Destiny or The Division (other loot-shooters) and it's story is still amazing, and I've played games with repetitive combos before (i.e. God of War Classic, Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, etc.) It might not be original, but I still enjoy it overall more than any of those. But I do agree that it could have, and SHOULD have, been better.

I really wish that people would stop complaining about the Avenger’s appearance. Like they claim to be comic fans but they know that the movie Avengers arent the only version of the team? Most versions of the team only ever have Captain America and Iron Man (half of the time not even on the same team). I understand the movies are popular but not everything has to be based on them or variations of them. A couple years ago people complained about marvel having too much corporate synergy and now theyre complaining about it not having enough. I hate to say it, but just pick up a comic book!
No, people have actually complained how much this game was heavy on the MCU influence.
They don't even look like their comic counterparts lmao. The issue isn't that they dont look like their mcu counterparts, is that they look too much like them....but in a shitty dollar store knockoff kind of way. Either make something that looks like the comics, the movies, or make your own version (arkham knight/spidey ps4), dont try to make something with all three, you end up with bland and boring.

You nailed this. I havnt even gotten halfway through the game and I already lost interest it. The game play is tediously simple and with almost no wow factor. Its way to easy to die in it. The armor loot is tiresome and not easy to understand. The cosmetics have to be bought but when the combat isnt inspiring, I'm not going to sink lots of time or money into the game to get them. I paid $80 to preorder it and I was impressed with the story and can even get over the character designs, but when the combat is so uninteresting and you make the small things like armor pieces tedious, well I'm pretty dissapointed.
