This game decloned EVERYONE. Every single character has a unique weapon for the first time in Dynasty Warriors history. That's one of the most overlooked things about DW8. 82 unique weapons in vanilla and even more with DLC and XL/Complete Edition.

Also yea if they removed Suo and Bao I wouldn't be upset. Another "flaw" I felt was idk..I kinda missed feeling like my allies did something. I remember in 5 I'd get a lot of "50 killed" for my allies but in 8 they are just...there.
I skipped DW 6 and 7, so I will base my gripe on 8 exclusively: - I don't If anybody noticed but at in game cut scenes the super focus visuals can look ugly, characters focused in detail however their background is heavily blurred with screen pops. - The long time issue with the difficulty, there is no point of playing on chaos or ultimate because you will reap almost the same rewards as you do in hard. Chaos and above are broken and poorly designed, the enemies are just given a massive attack (all capable of killing you in one combo/musuo/storm rush even if you are at full health!) and health boost but AI behavior are just the same.

I kind of like the family characters, Liu Shan is a prime example they can get family characters right. Along with the Sun Clan and Sima Clan. However, if there is one pointless character that should be cut, it's Bao Sanniang. Her sole purpose is just being Guan Suo's annoying love foil. But I agree with having more big name or main characters for Jin to fight. Because it does get tiresome fighting the same generics constantly. However, it kinda doesn't make sense that you shit all over 6, but cry for change. DW6 tried change and it didn't work, so that's why they combined the system of 5 and 6. I think 8 is what 7 was supposed to be like you do, but with the added characters, and with EVERYONE having their own original move set as well, I think 8 is more than a good entry. It's also a step in the right direction.

The narrations and camp conversations are silent because koei cut back on localisation budget. Also Dynasty Warriors did innovate and tried to do something different...in 6. Shame it was rushed and came out with loads of cut contents, so I can understand why you hate it, but come on it really deserves better. Lastly, yeah Guan Suo and his cat wife really should gtfo.
