HUGE thank you to Sony Alpha and Breakthrough Photography for helping make this a reality! We genuinely could not have done this without them. (Also, since everyone is asking, Sony was very understanding about the camera, and they were the ones who encouraged us to go for it!)
Well done, Nathan! This is prime time documentary stuff. Really happy for you and been following your journey for some time. 👏👍
It looks great bro, you did an exceptional job!
I shared it with others to view , yes, the view of the Aurora is a spectacular phenominum . Interestingly I too am amoured with this exquisite creation
I would love to send you a thank you card for this video I have seen the Aurora almost capping the earth in a space view but it was a shot from a space vehicle years ago , this video actually surpassed that picture vastly, it brought us under the Auroras canopy of fabulous emerald green beauty and it felt marvelous
Interestingly the Bible mentions God’s throne as being surrounded by an Emerald green glow and brightness
And the earth as Gods foot stool with the matching of the green is so interesting as a foot stool to the Throne ?
Again thank you and so glad you accomplished your quest The feeling it gives us is so lifting and etherial
Again thank you
Keepfaith@outlook.com A huge THANK YOU & APPRECIATION for all your efforts in bringing us a BEAUTIFULLY AWESOME above the clouds view. Your teams efforts kind of reminded me of that movie "Twister" in trying to get that "one-of-a-kind-view" to share with others. I could just feel all the raw emotions you all were experiencing, but you never gave up. I'm so glad that at the end of the video all of you were BLESSED. GOD gave all of us this beautiful planet to explore as it merits his GLORY, but not many people seem to care anymore. Thanks for sharing.
why you didnt left all video from start when baloon reaches top???? why 25 minutes of useles shit and main thing 2 minutes? why?
WHAT A ROLLERCOASTER. Never again. Well, maybe again. Okay, yeah, let's do it again
That was a hell of a journey, hope there's a third time. For the third time, put a Tile in it and have them be a sponsor 😂.
Sounds kinda like a drug addict to me....haha
You guys are doing it again, aren't you?
Please do it again! That was AMAZING!!! Thank you so much🤘🤘
That was awesome. Seeing Orion through the Aurora that actually gave me goosebumps. Quality video.
A dreamer called to action, never quit, and was victorious. Beauty. And Simply amazing.
So proud of this team!
Wow, that pan at about 27 minutes/122k ft... I that at least a dozen times over! I've never in my life seen something so special and beautiful. Thank you all so much for some incredible, unique inspiration! I'm going to go write a song now!
Also, how have I never heard of this?! How doesn't this video have millions of views?? This is the incredible!🤘🖤🤘
hold on, am I reading this correctly? how an earth does this video only have 70,000 views ! May you be blessed with the algorithms, this video was almost tear jerking. You should be extremely proud of yourself
Haha thank you, I am extremely proud. The algorithm doesn't love us as much as we wish, but maybe that will change soon? Tell your friends!
This is insane bro!!! Epic
Thanks dude!!
Got choked up right as you get to see Orion around 26:30. Ugh. Great work guys.
Thanks, Anne! Awesome seeing you here!
Nate and gang: I really don’t have adequate words to address this wonderful achievement.
Extremely moving. Poignant.
Peace.
"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go." -T.S. Eliot
Amazing!!
What do you think? Would you gamble sending an a7S III up in a balloon?
NEVER
Not me! Glad you guys did it for us!
@@autpops 😂
I think you summarized it very well at the end of the video. Dreams are there to become real and you planned throughly it was not just a dream. I'm in awe! Congrats to all!
Everyday! For the victory that you just had!
OMG this is absolutely INCREDIBLE!! Really proud of you guys! Greatly admire your photography work and this just blew me away. If you do decide to do it again, I'm definitely down to come over and help out :)
You're the best!
I really can't sleep now, thinking there is another payload somewhere in alaska with another amazing photage of this. Imagine finding that camera would be so much fun.
What outstanding work, Nate, Autumn and crew. I am friends with your dad and seeing your passion makes me smile.
Just got done watching one of the best shows of my life. I've seen them three times from Northern MN. Tonight they gave me a sense of the truly sublime. There is NOTHING LIKE THEM. To witness this ghostly pagan presence that is older then the mountains, older than the ocean. Photographs are cool but they don't capture the alien strangeness of it, how the sky glitches and radiates-the actual curtains that the cameras pick up are gorgeous but only one element of the whole phenomenon. The hair on my neck is still standing.
I loved this. It made me cry seeing it all. But now I wonder if you guys can make it into the actual aurora itself to see the light dancing around that close to the camera!!!! Simply magical!
I literally got chills watching the ending. Amazing job!
Congrats to you Nate, Autumn and Austin!! This project is beyond captivating. Had me sweating bullets at the 15 min mark while watching so I can’t even imagine what that felt like to be there 😅. Keep on rocking guys!!!
Awesome project! Way to push through and take the risk. The juice was definitely worth the squeeze here. Definitely deserves more views, but forget about that for a moment. You accomplished something truly great here. Well done 👏
I cried with you when the first one failed. How painful, and then to make a decision to do it again! Wow, it was a rollercoaster ride of a film. One really sweet moment for me was your second launch. As Im watching you set it up I realized you were in the town I live, Anderson. I often shoot photos of the Aurora from the same place you launched. Super cool.
My God y'all, that was amazing. Well designed and well executed.
Seriously got chills when that aurora footage came up...and the perfect pan that looks almost automated? Yowza!
I'm honestly pretty surprised you guys only failed once. High altitude ballooning isn't easy, and I'm so glad you all got back up and tried again.
Also...so you're saying there's a brand new a7siii, a wide angle lens, and a few inreaches just chillin' out in the Alaskan tundra somewhere? 🤔😉
Haha that is exactly what I'm saying! Shoot me an email and I'll share the coordinates. If you can find the camera you can keep it, I just want the memory cards back!
@@Nateinthewild - you may have unintentionally created a new Forrest Fenn type treasure hunt!
Now I feel like traveling there and spend some months looking for that a7S3.
I'm a grown man. I'm not crying. You're crying. This was just what I needed. Such an awesome project. Everyone's involved can be very proud of the result. Keep up the good work!
Brother, all I have to say is congratulations to you and your team. It was amazing and super inspiring. Kudos to you all for real. You have to come back and talk about this on the podcast for sure
That final shot with Orion in the background was so epic! What a project. Congrats to you all for pulling this off!
Can't believe we got Orion in there! Thanks for watching!
Really Great!!! BZ!! Back in '76 I was in the Navy on the USS John F. Kennedy and we were above the arctic circle (Blue Nose) on the Atlantic and I was working the flight deck between launch and recovery and on night check (a 12hr shift). I got to watch aircraft fly through the ARORA with their lights flashing some blue (refuelers) most red but F-14's had green side markers about half the ships aircraft flying to and fro over open dark ocean. Watching aircraft launch into the arora was awesome, like it was on the surface of the water. Your video flying right under the arora brought that view back like it was yesterday. I hope you get the opportunity to ride an Aircraft Carrier while it heads through the arora and take pictures and video while it seems to flow through you the whole night and many nights there after, a cruise ship can not copy the view of the christmas like lights floating through the air.
Congratulations 🥰 It is a living dream. Thank you so much for this magical moment 🙏
So happy to have been able to experience this premier live with everyone in the chat! Nate, Autumn, and Austin.... thanks for being so awesome! You inspire us all!
Aw, thank you and thanks for tuning in to the premiere!
@@autpops so good!!! thanks!
Good having you there, thank you so much for tuning in!
This is one of the most awesome things I have ever watched. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. The highs, the lows, and everything in between! Well done, Bravo!!
This is AWESOME!!! Well done everyone involved! Absolutely stunning!
Without day dreaming, we would have never reached the moon or Mars and we will never go beyond .... Your story is as amazing as your resilience.
Finally got the time to watch this from start to finish and holy crapola I started crying after you found the second payload safe on the ground and then it transitioned to the footage of the Northern Lights. They are so beautiful. And what a magical way for us to see them thanks to you all!!!!
This is so freaking incredible, I’m so happy for you guys!!
I can imagine the rollercoaster of emotions, well done to all involved.. Epic
All the feels. Thank you
Whats with the overwhelming urge to keep watching this film? 3rd time today...
I hope you cry each and every time
Way to go! This was fantastic! Such an inspirational story that I hope pushes us all to reach for our dreams and go for broke. Beautiful storytelling and visuals and I'd honestly expect nothing less from this team of professionals.

Absolutely stunning! I just bawled my eyes out when you guys showed the aurora footage at the end. This was beautifully done, good job guys 🙌🏽👏🏼
Thank you so much! I, too, was moved to tears at the end. What an exquisite sight!!! Is there any more footage taken from aloft? I could watch that for hours.
We have over two hours of footage! I’ll upload the long cut eventually!
Awesome. 10 out of 10 👏 👏 👏
Count me in! Can't wait
Insane stuff Nate!
This epic video is an excellent example of what is possible when one has a vision and the determination to make it happen. Amazing that Orion was centered in the field of view at 100,000 ft.
Can we talk about the perfect panning at the end? It's like it was meant to be.
Thank you for not giving up on your dream. Marvellous ♥
Excited!
Glad you did not gave up, so great to watch the Aurora from inside the Aurora as it were 🌟🌌
Congratulations gang! What an amazing adventure and accomplishment! Beautiful footage of the Aurora, and keep dreaming big, never stop that life mission 🥰 🙌💯🎈👌🎊

Wordless, tears, magnificent. Thank you!!

Incredible dedication to your craft. Without failure you can't learn and man did you learn from your failure! Massive respect and the footage looks unreal! Bravo
It's really awesome. We couldn't imagine such things. I hope your efforts inspire many more enthusiastic people to take courage to do such projects.😊🎉

Amazing documentary guys! I was so moved by it, and the final imagery is literally out of this world. It was like space diving!
Brilliant!! I didn't know the aurora could be any more beautiful.
Absolutely amazing!
I’m in awe with this video! Congratulations and thank you for giving us the chance to the the Aurora like this.
That was unreal Nate! Congratulations. But...so what your saying is, somewhere out there is a free a7siii...hmmm🤔
I thought that too. 😂😂😂
WOW, just WOW!!! That is so gorgeous!!!
Thank you! Very touching and motivated, best vidéo I saw on CZcams this year! 💗💗🌲🌲🌲🌲
Congrats to you and your team. Insanely beautiful and proud of you.
Just EPIC! I mean it is a dream, it is an idea in someone's head until it becomes true. A reality of those having these ideas making it come true. So proud of you guys, you gambled your gear and spent so much time in order to make this come true. Hats off to you sirs (and ladies) for this and thank you for giving us the opportunity to watch something that would probably most of us never dreamed of!
So beautiful. It’s amazing to watch. Thank you all for such hard work.
This is the most beautiful thing I have seen this year... I cried watching it... I have always been fascinated with the Aurora Borealis and this was the best video ever.... Thank u so much for sharing... More power to u and ur team... 👍👏👏🙌
Incredible. I was glued to the screen watching this. Well done man 🙏🏼
unbelievable- sooooooooooooo good!
Haha you finally finished it!!
This is so epic 😭😍 congratulations to the team. I've never seen something like this 😍
Great VIEW!
simply outstandin !!!
I was lucky enough to witness them on my last three day in Iceland, the last of which was in Rekyavik and they were bustling with colours dancing the night away. A truly magical, unique experience like the content you have created here. Insane video bro, loved every second of it!
Wow!! Thank you for your passion Nate and team! Thank you for sharing this footage for the world to see. Loved it the first time - loved it the second time - love it the nth time. This hits deep!! The perspective/point of view offered by the way the balloon sways is very dream like - like I - as a viewer - am floating alongside the balloon, spinning trying to view all the magic around me.
This video has been very nostalgic for me. I've had the privilege of seeing the lights during a G1 storm in Fairbanks, and I still dream of that memory!!
So wonderful and stunning!!! 🤩
Absolutely wonderful footage and such a fantastic story. Thank you! BTW, Possible Kp7/G3 class storm coming the evening of Dec 10. My new A7S3 and I are heading up to Montana for the show.
absolutely spectacular - thank you for your work in capturing this beauty!
122k feet 😳 breathtaking guys!!
All photography limits exceeded, simply epic 👌🏻..
Absolutely incredible!! great story and an even better result!
All the way up! This was sooo good
Absolutely incredible!! That ending hits on another level. Sheer excellence.
What’s phenomenal story and video!! I’d still look for the first one. Seeing the aurora at this height was amazing. Thanks for sharing with us!
That's absolutely fantastic and congratulation to the team.
I have no words for this! This is unreal!
Just fabulous guys! Thank you so much for producing this. 👏🏼
Holy smokes!!!! This is the most amazing thing I’ve ever watched!!! Almost cried watching it!! Congrats you guys!! Amazing achievement!!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏
