Thank you so much for sharing. Recognized my lost boyfriend. He walked so i know he is alive! Much love and strenght to all of you people. Sending light and peace.
I visited Dominica in February of this year, it's so sad to see how much has changed due to the Hurricane. Sending lots of prayers and love to the people!
Dominica is one of my favorite places in the world. I have been there many times over the last twenty years. Naturally, I have many friends there whom I am concerned about. One of the many I am concerned about is my friend Julien Giraud who lives on Cornwall street in Roseau. I am praying for the people there and will think of what I can do to organize some relief from here in South Carolina.
Our prayers are with the people of Dominica. It will be a huge effort to recover from the ravages of this hurricane, but we stand ready to assist in every way possible!
I deeply admire what you have done in the filming and youtubeing of this video. We don't see this in the news. Wee need people like you taking the painful time to give us the painful details.I'm in the southern part of Northern Ontario, where we can not really comprehend this kind of destruction. But many people here send what spare funds they may have and certainly send love and prayers and thoughts and make sure you are in our hearts in a new way, because we are all citizens of Earth.
Our church is also in Castle Comfort, across from the garage, from your video it seems to be OK. Thanks for sharing. Still no word from friends and church members. Be strong. Praying for you guys.
Thank goodness that your aunt and Mom survived, but what a horror that they have to face in recovery from the hurricane. What a disaster! It makes one very thankful for not having endured this disaster. Blessing to all ! Thank you for sharing.
The Bahamas love you Dominica and your people our prayers are with you. Dominica st Lucia grenada Barbados st Vincent are the best and most peaceful islands and people I ever visited.
What a good reportage, we can feel the desolation. Humans and dogs are stunned. So sorry for this beautifull island ( I visited Dominica and Roseau in 1976 for a few days, and allready then, it was more exotic, authentic than most carribean islands). The architecture, or what is left of it, is pretty and colourfull, not ugly, concrete as in Saint Martin. I wih you lots of courage, you have there a jewel which need all the attention and dedication of its inhabitants to make it as beautifull as it was before, with these delicate houses and vibrant colours. Bon courage!
So sorry to see such devastation. I was in that hotel in April I can not recognize it. People of Dominica are so kind and happy. I will pray for you all
Thank you for sharing. This is heart breaking but Dominica is a great nation with even greater people. Stay strong everyone, we are thinking of you. ❤️ If people on the island can recommend a good avenue for donations/aid that would help the most, we'll help spread the word ❤️
Thank you for sharing. My husband is from Layou. After 4 days we finally heard from his granny. I am working in the US trying to get some everyday essentials out to Dominica. Keep safe and God bless.
Excellently produced video. Really highlights the mammoth task ahead for Dominica. Just a tip: whenever recording outside, always use a deadcat on your microphone. (That's what it's called. Google it. Works wonders to eliminate wind noise.) You can rest assured that Barbados stands with you at this difficult time. This is probably worse than the destruction wrought by Hurricane David.
My prayers are with everyone in the Caribbean that was affected by recent hurricanes I hope that all the islands affected will come back from this stronger than before. Much Love remain hopefully and strong.
Thank you for sharing. It was very difficult for us to watch, as we still wait on word from family. Very well filled and narrarated. Like after Hurricane David, Dominica will be stronger than ever.
Whoever you are thanks is insufficient...you gave me hope with what you showed..although my mom is on the other side..Belfast area..God bless you ALL..
Wow this is an amazing and sobering video that clearly shows the incredible destruction that this part of Dominica has suffered! Thanks for going out of your way to shoot this video and to narrate it so well!
Thank you for sharing...my moms sister Pat Hill lives in Castle Comfort and we haven't received any word on her please if you have any info let me know. Thank you and I'm happy you're safe.
We thank the Lord for His Mercies and Loving Kindness and power inthe Blood of Jesus/Blood of the Lamb. My daughter was at Ross on the Island i had been begging her after the Houston fiasco to leave the island but she would not. Anyway God is Merciful inthe end as there was nothing i could do i told her to just carry on pleading the blood of Jesus /Blood of the Lamb as in the Old Testament when God said when He sees the Blood on the house the angel of death will not stop there. Praise God there is power inthe Blood of Jesus. I really thank the Lord as it could have been worse ..whats worse than a Cat 5? having one or any of the 9Active Volcanos go off at the same time is what is worse...
The two best days of my life in Waitikubuli (tall is her body) are, the Days after Hurricane David and Maria. These two put Waitikubuli naked. Almost three years, after Maria and She is fully clothed once again in all shades of green--BEAUTIFUL . NATURE ISLAND. JAH LIVE.
Thanx for sharing this video to the world,Lynn from England,if anyone knows how my Brothers in Law's are,the names are Mathew Andrew from Canefield and George Andrew from Roseau, such a well narrated video, may God bless you all.

Hi there. I was wondering if you are related to my relatives...Frances, Francis, Dana, Deneel and Vince Nicholas?Thank you. Most of them live in Scotts Head...I have been waiting for news as well.
Helen, I;ve been going online to absradio.com, tdnradio.com and wice q95fm to get news on what's going on in Dominica. One of them had reported to Scott's Head was OK, But I have not been able to confirm that. I'm also from Scott's Head and have a lot of relatives there. tdnradio's facebook page should have more info that I can put in here. ALSO if you are able to TEXT your folks, instead of calling on your cell, or via whatsapp, you're more likely to get through. That's how we've been communicating. God bless..
Please if anyone has information about my granfather Badboy from Tete laillé and his son Jeff lee my (dad) and wife lucy Lee from centre (grandbay) We are all so so worried,we are going out of our minds :( Thank you for the video, this devastating. Please any information.
Thank you so much for posting this. My dad's house is in castle comfort and we still don't know how much damage it's suffered. Glad you survived. Praying for you all.
So sad to see the gems of the Caribbean so destroyed. Such a long way to recovery. Yes, covering roofs, getting power & running water back is priority. After that the focus should be turned to rebuilding the tourist areas. The sooner tourists come back, the more money locals will have to rebuild their lives. Just so sad. I hope the locals put all of the wood and tree debris in a lot to dry out. Let the local artist and woodworkers use the wood for making furniture and art pieces. Benches, coat trees, mirror frames, picture frames, beds, live edge shelves, lamps, handles for woven bags & baskets, etc. A lot of little things can be made to to sell to tourists utilizing the debris. There is a way to utilize the destruction for some gain. Granted the easiest thing to do is scoop it all up, bury it, burn it, or ship it off to be disposed of. However, a little planning now will be rewarding in the long term.
Why aren't the medical students helping with the rebuilding? Classes are suspended for a while. Get air drop of supplies of water, food etc. There is over 1000 students and faculty.
Now I heard its hell on Earth there. Widespread looting in Roseau. 4 shot. Looting also in Portsmouth. Ross brought in Blackwater. I wish I was there. In 1979 Hurricaine David took out electric for 1 to 1.5 yrs. This is even worse. Police from neighboring islands there to restore order.
May God bless you all and give you comfort and peace and restoration!
God really?
Blessings and all the help you deserve.
wow, you're a real bucket of sunshine.
Z
God bless you for this footage

Perhaps they are traumatized and trying to work out what just happened. Give them a break!!!! This was a category 5 hurricane!!!!
I guess I am probably one of the toughest person you can meet. I expect too much of other people.
They are all being evacuated I heard.
