Really good camera. Have it on my FPV Cycle 3" toothpick (the BabyTooth). The image is very pleasing to the eye, yet is has an FPV-like rendering of colours and contrast, so you can see twigs and branches. If you fly in golden hour in some park the image gets like a dream to watch. I have damaged the cable unfortunately, that is the only negative of this camera. So I have actually removed the connector and have directly soldered quality silicone wires onto the board. Had to use magnifying glass, since the pads are extremely small. The camera works, so it has been a good operation.
Dude, thanks for posting. Switching to one of these ASAP in my 2.5". I have Eagles in my lightweight 3" and 4", but I love flying the 2.5", save the image I get from the racer. This looks like a good sensor for here in the UK with our typical overcast days, well except we have had weeks upon weeks of sunshine in Dorset. Sorry to hear you are limited to your garden, living on a homestead myself so still flying daily. Thanks again for posting dude.
Really love this episode. I purchased the runcam hybrid 2 last week, which included the phoenix2 nano. Can't wait for the weather to clear and I can try it. The insta360 and all the TPU mounts are always a pain. The standard mounts are always a huge plus because I fly FPV helicopter, not quads.
I saw your earlier review of this camera and immediately ordered one. I must admit, now that it's installed in my quad, I'm far from impressed. Lots of shimmering, even with sharpness turned way down, and with only red and green color controls, it's hard to get a natural-looking white balance and color saturation. It seems to be much more prone to electrical noise, but that might have something to do with the RunCam Control Adapter (and the extra wiring that involves) that I had to use to get camera control to work. You can see the awful shimmering when you take the camera outside, at about the 03:00 mark in your review.
In the nano size especially weight is also a key factor for some people / builds. Looks nice picture, would be interesting to direct compare with baby ratel
strange that it does so well at night, the original one they sent to oscar for testing was very poor at night, in fact runcam weren't gonna release it at all but oscar insisted they release it so they named it after him hehehe, i think i would struggle with the fisheye, i really prefer 155/165 deg cameras usually 16-9 and how they avoid bad fisheye effects on those is beyond me, but the micro eagle and the ratel do it really well, (ratel 18mm lens is the 15-9 one) summers coming and the ratel excels in strong sunshine
Informative review as usual! Also, are there e-commerce restrictions in the UK right now? In India, non essential products aren't being shipped so I am not getting any Rc Stuff. 😥
Really great and helpful review. But I have one question, would there be an advantage in terms of performance if you would supply this camera with 12v instead of 5v?
Boa sorte

Great review, looks like I can stop panic buying eagles before they all run out 👍🏻

looks great lee.gonna order a nano.i like runcam and foxeer
Phoenix 2 Nano v Baby Ratel Nano v Tootless 2 Nano....all seem to be superb cameras at the moment.
We do seem to be spoilt for choice at the moment! :D
I read a comment a while ago that maybe it doesn't sync well with Rapid Fire. Do you know if that is still an issue?
Grate review, this cam looks good. 👍👍👍

Nice camera and very nice garden. Can you catch fish in the canal behind your property?

Postage is slow as the Post Office and couriers are short staffed but it is getting through - eventually..
Aspect ratio should be updated after saving the changes.
Really great and helpful review.

Not that I've seen here... Happy flying
@@Painless360 Thank you very much. Happy flying, (Edit): and stay safe.
Lee, great review on the Nano Cam it must be very fragile being so small..? Is the Lens replaceable, like an upgrade..? =)
If I break it - I'll let you know :D
The lens is replaceable like runcam other cameras.
Great cam I have 2 and it's all I'm buying over run cam eagle which I have 3
If you have the eagle already then I'd use them first ;) Happy flying!
@@Painless360 used them long time ago I like them but Oscar fits me better

What type of connector does this camera use?
Same as usual. molex picoblade I think...
Is there a Phoenix 2 and a Phoenix 2 nano? Or did you mean eagle ?
Link to the original camera review in the description. ;)
How does it compare to foxeer toothless nano?
Both very similar but I got a better low light image from this one - see the Foxeer review from last weekend..
Painless360 thanks for the reply and review. Keep up the good work 😊 your content is very helpful
