    My TX20U doesnt work on my Win 11 PC. tried to reinstall the driver, recognized in device manager but shows cant connect to this network. Tried other Win 11 devices, same issue. Worked on Win 10 PC though. What do you suggest?

    • @TPLINKTECH
      @TPLINKTECH  Před rokem +2

      The TX20U Plus is the first adapter with a built-in driver and it should be windows 11 compatible. If that doesn't work through try this file: static.tp-link.com/upload/software/2022/202209/20220930/Archer%20TX20U%20Plus%201.0_5001.0.13.106_win10_win11.zip Note: This is the driver for the US region and it might not work if you are not in the US. If you are located elsewhere you will need to go to TP-Link.com search for the TX20U Plus and look for your regions drivers.

      Since the Adapter is only a receiver/transmitter I would first look at any changes to the environment such as the introduction of new clients. Additionally, look at the network and potential congestion. If you have a WiFi analyzer you can see if the current channel has become congested.

      That usually happens when a built-in adapter is available on the computer. You would need to look at the properties of each connection you will see what adapter it is using. I would disable the built in one to avoid confusion.

    • @TPLINKTECH

      The Adapter should not be crashing your PC. You would want to look at the event viewer and see what error code is being displayed. Then look up that and see what the code means.

    • @TPLINKTECH
      @TPLINKTECH  Před 27 dny

      More than likely that is because the older adapter has a different driver. You need to install the driver for the TX20U and you should then be able to connect with that adapter. If you have the driver installed and its not working then please reach out to support for assistance.

      The transfer rate is the linkrate. We advertise the maximum linkrate possible in our specs. The maximum combined linkrate is what is advertised on the box. The link rate you get depends on several factors including the network adapter on your PC, distance from the AP, and barrier and interference. If you open your network adapter status you will see the link rate. This should be what you are transferring files at.
