My partner and her 2 girls spent the night on Bald Knob in a caboose back in 2007. That was an amazing experience. Deer came out right after the train departed, we cooked out. Her and I got up around 3am and the fog was laying down in the valley making the ridgetops look like islands.

Also shay 11 did have some problems going up the mountain, like wheel slips and low pressure, however it did make it up to bald knob.
It was the first time experiencing a wheel slip to a locomotive.
That's not a Southern Pacific 6 Chime that's a C&O 6 Chime. Great Video!
