Gravel Special Edition - Quick PS5 Review

- Recently picked up Gravel Special Edition from Milestone for just under a fiver on the PlayStation UK store and thought I'd do a quick look at it on the PS5.
Although the graphics aren't that great, for a last gen game it runs really well on the PS5 and offers some good off road fun. For the discount price it's an easy recommendation.
I highly recommend this game! Hands down one of the best racers of last gen but still looks great today!

@@UH60 Yeah one of the reasons I love it is because its got sim elements but still can be adjusted to be more arcade friendly, and also the tracks are long and diverse!
Good and informative video, thanks. I'm considering picking it up cheap for my PS5 whilst on sale. Is it confirmed as running 60fps on PS5? I read elsewhere that it was software locked to 30fps still?
Would also love to know this? Heard it was locked to 30fps
@@thebocop8958 It worked at 60fps (1080p) for me but turn off HDR - that caps framerate at 30 FPS.
With pure coincidence, i found out that turning off hdr, returning to the game, going back and enabling hdr, then back to the game, it actually runs at 60 fps!

Is this a special Ps5 Version, or the normal Ps4 Version run on Ps5?
Hi, it's just the ps4 version, there aren't any ps5 updates but the framerate is good on ps5

I'm positive it is 60fps, certainly looks it, most of the backward compatibility lists show it as locked 60fps. The one thing i had read online was that if you use hdr the framerate drops to 30, not sure if that is true, i can't test as I'm still using a pre hdr tv at the moment
Thanks, did a bit more research and, as you say, found it listed as 60fps on PS5 on other sites. That's enough confirmation for me to give it a go at the low current price. I have HDR so will try on/off...

Got a PS5, got the game running... and I'm sorry to say this, but you're wrong regarding the FPS. It's not locked. It's completely unstable 60 FPS that drops to 30, 2 seconds into the race. I don't know where you got this footage from, but performance-wise, the way it runs on the PS5 looks nothing like that. The FPS are all over the place.
I don't know who the first person who said that it'd run at locked 60FPS is, but they were lying.
Apparently going by other comments HDR drops the game to 30
