"You want me to hold something for you?" "No, I want you to stay away from me"----rofl
My hero I wish that would be the Saying for all my customers
Steve is the most patient HVAC tech in the business, specially with the old ladies…also, I didn’t catch what you had to do, something about a wire or something..😂😅👍
Mouse heaven…
I can’t believe that a mouse would be attracted to such a clean place?
The laugh when she says "i havent seen a mouse in this house" lol
Good job Steve ... My heart goes out to those older folks ... Hope you get the replacement job ... Hey to Miss Molly ...
Being labeled as a plumber or a serviceman or whatever is actually a separate thing, you are first and foremost a person that helps people. What a great person and professional you are.
Yes he helps people but also gets paid for it.
Good job helping her Christmas Eve Steve, plus putting all her stuff back. Good find on the mice damage. Hope your daughter and son-in-law get better fast.
She's a chewie one, Mr. Grinch!
Always surprised when u tell em mice. From the looks of the place, Sandy should not be surprised.
🤣 Saw evidence of Jerry but Tom was on vacation.
Now that’s a Taj Mahal!🎉
That's wild when "wildlife" gets into our equipment. Hats off to you again for helping customer too. And she even asked for an A/C unit. You deserve the business. Great work.
Santa brings presents. Steve brings comfort. Have to be comfortable to enjoy Christmas mama!
"Are they (the mice) still there?" Steve, you're a great one! 😊😊
I’ve see enough episodes of Hoarders Buried Alive to know she has a mouse infestation even if she can’t see the mice.
Lol
🤣
I thought you were going to smack her!!🤣🤣
Thanks again for the videos!
🍺🍺🍺🥃🥃🎯🏌🏻♀️
Stay safe.
Retired (werk'n)keyboard super tech. Wear your safety glasses!
Awesome for her that she had a great trouble-shooter.
And she had a Merry Christmas to boot, Steve.
You made the ladies Christmas Steve! Great job as always, remain blessed and keep them video's coming 👍
“It’s a pile of York” momma. 😜🤣🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻
Another great video; those Honeywell thermostats are designed to fail because they use surface Mount pin headers that have far less of a mechanical connection to the pcb than the through hole types. I ran into the same issue but I was able to resolder the header back to the board.
Really great video. Thanks for posting
They never give a direct answer when you ask "what do you set the heat at?" Like its a trigonometry question!!! 😆
This channel is a gold mine Steve
So my concern is. If mice chewed those wires. They likely chewed 120 volt wires as well. I wonder if the home owners realizes the potential danger in her home.
Lol “ you got bats in the belfry “ always great content
Steve is a saint.
Not only did the mice chew the wire, they also stapled it in the walls? Ridiculous!
They didn't want their meal to get away! :)
You know you're in Massachusetts when there's a Dunkin on the main road leading up to your house. I would have used a 5 or 6 conductor tstat wire but it seems like it will get chewed by mice again 😂
But that makes it all the better. If mice chew it again, you have 4 extra spare wires to use.
Steve your the man! Great job
Always great!
Hello steve nice fix hope you had a grate new year
“Please go upstairs and let me do my job” Nah, I’ll just follow you around. 🤦♂️ Anytime I’ve had someone come out to fix my stuff I just show them where it is, tell them what I see is wrong, and disappear to another room unless they have questions.
Bless you for helping people in need.
Excellent work, especially putting the stuff back up on the shelves. Your work is top notch! I do satellite TV and cable coax wiring. When a signal stops to just one TV, I always suspect mice, and most customers will tell me there's no way it's mice. But when my meter indicates a SHORT, there's usually no other explanation.
Watching Steven since I start working on my company, if wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be nothing.
2 years watching his videos and other trades now I’m in charge of the maintenance of 2 property’s.
You help a lot, thanks for recording and being you.
Good to hear man. Steve is a great person to learn from. Are you in property maintenance?
@@ApartmentMaintenance Yeah, i only have 2 years experience so i have a lots to learn
Your a good man Steve!
Fluffy will chew up the toilet paper if He gets a chance.
Patience of a saint.
So just to be clear Steve, did you have to change the thermostat wire??? :)
Another damsel in distress, looks like the maid was on vacation too🤣🤣
Good find
Good job Steve.
Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again y’all. 👍👍
Steve, I enjoy your videos, I'm not in the trade, just like how hvac works.
64 is a little cool for an older person. I usually set mine at 64 but I bumped it up to 67. She seemed like a nice lady.
You are ACE at finding faults as well as having the patience at changing out those multi wired programmers-well done!! Excuse me for chuckling but I love it when you talk to customers about technical stuff they have likely most no Feckin idea about! You have to accept most customers only know how to turn on the lights-if that 😂👍. You’re a good man though trying to explain to them the technicalities even that it will go in one ear and out the other 🙂. If you’re ever in England I’d love you to cook me breakfast although I think you’d tell me to feck off 😂. I love you and your videos! You’re a great guy! Me being divorced recently you give me much hope for my future! Keep the videos up and love from my dog Dandy to Miss Molly!
Finally you have snow!
Don’t see that every day. Good one Steve.
Nice work
Crazy mice Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄
Thanks Steve needed a good laugh 😂 maybe she doesn’t know what a staple is you got to watch that tech jargon 🤪 call me sandy
Gunslinger...txs for sharing
Omg Steve I think you sent her upstairs because she was talking incessantly 😆😅🤣😂
MEXICO MISS MOLLY. LMFAO!!! Your a Hoot Good Sir. Cheers from like minded people in Kansas.
Lav; Ur an Angel in disguise
Steve this is good shit, lol, love your cooking also
The mice must have been cold and hungry.
Steve just cracks me up, what a guy.
Steve's helping the citizens.
That's what these trades are about!
Question, I have oil fired steam boiler peerless with reillo burner, heating works fine but recently water is coming out warm and I have to fire up boiler to get hot water. Any suggestions? thx
I feel sorry for this woman and her falling down, etc... but.. I have to admit.. I feel MORE SORRY for Steven because this woman can NOT stop talking!! She's rambling on and on and on... while Steven is trying to diagnose and fix her furnace... Usually people who Talk NONstop have an early form of Dementia ... so.. I would feel sorry for her because of that too.... Way to keep your cool, Steven!!
Could also be that she has no one, and Steven is the first interaction she's had in awhile. Some elderly people don't have many people around.
I did HVAC for years; basement dog turds are the part they don't teach in school :)
Not an easy one for Xmas Eve. Nice snowfall.
That is a one-off greatest invention of recent times to use soy oil for making wire insulation, same with Romex electrical wires.
Hope they don't put that crap in the covering on NM. I usually use MC cable but also use UF.
No kidding, after I went back with problems on runs I installed after 5 years, then researched and found out they used f-ing FOOD to make the insulation!!! OMG. If I was a mouse, I would pig out too! Stupid...stupid...stupid to save a damn buck today, but cost mega bucks in repair later!
@@Bob.W. all plastick covering wires are rodent aproved ,i only use MC wire no more than $20 doll more a roll.
@@mpselectrolab1067 Absolutly use only MC wire
Mice and rodents love soy based wiring in cars. Huge repair bills when mice get at car wiring and harnesses. All the major car manufacturers use soy based wiring now where in the past used to be petroleum based wiring prior to 2000 or so.
I love how Steve just tells the lady to " GET LOST ", " I don't want to catch Covid "
He said covert 19
They finish the basement without lighting fixtures. I swear you should get hazard pay every time you show up and the lights are all burned out. Almost as bad as the ones who leave all the crap under the sink and expect you to work around it. Be sure to get a tetanus shot after this job Steve.
I push like before watching your videos
You my friend have what's called the patience of Jobe.
Consistent Steve. You must have been made in Germany. What a machine. Churning out top engineering vids day in day out.
His bedside manner sucks though
He's not a therapist.
I'm a plumber not a therapist Jim.
Do they make wireless thermostats? Receiver unit or something?
good show,funny...house looks like a mess...lucky she has you to help her out
15:25 hahahaha!!!! The shit chute!!!
I've had rats chewing on 240V wires and peeing on exposed parts (guess, from electric shocks, maybe). When I got to there, it was all sizzling and sparkling. Major fire hazard. That made me install wiring into protective plastic tubes wherever possible/feasible, with an added bonus of being able to replace damaged wires or just swap/add just by pulling them into tube.
Steve's working again ya'll 👍
Miss Molly needs that heating pad someone sent ya last year or so! It plugged in your lighter socket!!!
He did his good deed for the Holiday.
Hello Steve!
Nice diagnostic work. I'm sure the mice appreciate the new dental floss you installed.
Nice work. General comment: I've never seen Steve short together the output of the thermostat at the board terminals in order to initiate a call for heat. It's probably OK but I don't like to see output stages of live electronics shorted together.
Steves working again ya
Miss molly needs to be carried like a princess
Cool? I like a cooler house and I've got a newer 96 efficient furnace. My furnace is usually at 65 degrees and when it's really cold, then I'll run it at 67- 68 degrees. Recently it was in the teens and with windchill, the temperature felt like single degree temperatures, if not below zero.
I hear the people who make wiring insulation are using a soy based plastic, and the mice love to chew on it. I watch another guy on CZcams who has a Toyota Tundra pick up truck, which he initially liked, but now he's having an issue with mice getting into his engine bay and chewing on many wires. It's cost him a few thousand dollars to replace the chewed wires, and then it happened again. He has since learned that Toyota uses wires that are insulated with the soy based plastic. He's trying to put mouse traps everywhere, but has caught few mice so far.
Poor lady needs some serious help in the house.
That house is in bad shape. They would probably demo it if they ever sold it.
Damn right you need to carry Miss Molly to the truck. We all know who the boss is!
Chills in bed, ohhh they got it
We guts a runner mommmmaaaaa!
⚡Mice like a 24volt eye opener⚡
" I fix her shit all the time" LMFAO
Stay away from me! Lol
Man that is one dirty house.
Jepardy Question. What is the nick name given for the engine built in the the 80's that was made in Mexico ? Hint it was a Ford.
i want you to stay away from me..😂
York just needs a sledgehammer mama
My goodness that place hasnt been cleaned since 88
Now thats a shot show..lol
micee not nicee! another good job steve!
She’s a talker mamma!!!
Ain’t no way I could have worked in that nasty house.
Pro tip: If you're expecting a technician, move your shit out of the way so it's more accessible and easy for them to work around. Also, don't ask a million questions while they're trying to work, it just slows them down and irritates them!
