That made me install wiring into protective plastic tubes wherever possible/feasible, with an added bonus of being able to replace damaged wires or just swap/add just by pulling them into tube.

I hear the people who make wiring insulation are using a soy based plastic, and the mice love to chew on it. I watch another guy on CZcams who has a Toyota Tundra pick up truck, which he initially liked, but now he's having an issue with mice getting into his engine bay and chewing on many wires. It's cost him a few thousand dollars to replace the chewed wires, and then it happened again. He has since learned that Toyota uses wires that are insulated with the soy based plastic. He's trying to put mouse traps everywhere, but has caught few mice so far.

Pro tip: If you're expecting a technician, move your shit out of the way so it's more accessible and easy for them to work around. Also, don't ask a million questions while they're trying to work, it just slows them down and irritates them!
