Thank you for this video. I live in Springhill florida and have a 2003 s type r. I drove the car daily and it has 220k miles on the car. I took it off the road a year ago and started a restoration of the car. The last thing I did was the tranny which o was getting a gearbox fault. I ordered the kit and I only changed the fluid with lifeguard and new pan and filter. The transmission improved but is still getting the fault. I'm kicking myself because I have all the seals and got lazy and didn't change them. This video is excellent because it explained how the seal work and I now understand it's function. I'm gonna drain and remove the pan and megatronic to change the valve seals and this one also. When I changed the fluid it was black and the car was not shifting properly . After the fluid change the transmission functioned as it should with a minor slip on 6th gear. I've done all the major work on the car myself as we do not have any qualified mechanics in our area. The dealer will not touch the car because it's to old ? Imagine that. I suspect this seal is bad and will know tomarow after I remove it. Thanks again !

PHATJANUS but how do you drop the mechatronic unit safely on an Audi? The wiring loom is integrated with the connector, so you can’t just pop outwards the connector adapter like the BMW videos show. I would like to take off the mechatronic / valve body on my ZF 6HP19A (Audi A6 Allroad 2007 3.2FSI - gearbox code is KHA) but scared that doing so will damage the wiring loom or connector attachment to casing. Thanks for any info

Ok, i did a drain and fill on my zf6hp19 with the valvoline. I had a 4-5 flare before i did it and it seemed to fix that for me. No more ZF fluid for me, only Valvoline max life. I have a lot of miles on the car. Changed fluid and pan @ 150k miles with ZF and drove 90 K with flare if pushed hard it would flare so i just drove it easy for the 90 K to prevent it flaring. Drain and fill with Valvoline @ 240k. ZF fluid is about 5 times more expensive also

Hey Mickey, great video. I have a ZF6HP19A in my Audi S4. I got a new mechatronic and reset the adaptations. Car shifts great. My problem: when i am standing and shifting in to R or D with foot on the break, the engine rpm drop heavily and the whole car vibrates. When i drive and come to a stop there is close to no vibration. Only when shifting in D or R when standing. What can this be? Thank you so much in advance :)
