Pale Moon would be very useful to steal credentials from, mainly because many older industrial control systems and other datacenter equipment (like UPS, Fire alarm / Suppression systems, etc) have antiquated flash based configuration interfaces that usually require a flash compatible browser like Pale Moon to run.
Interesting point, I had no idea
Scada systems and the similar are basically ticking time bombs for script kiddies just gotta close the air gap
Great info to know. 😅
my Pale Moon doesn't have Flash Player

I enjoyed the news update, but also enjoy your single topic videos. It’d be nice to see a mix, but also whatever works for you, and the algorithm 😊
Would you like it as mixed as your comment? I don't think even the algorithm can figure out what you want.

I was always under the impression that signal makes their link previews on the side that sends the link. Otherwise it could be used to figure out the IP of the recipient. I imagine that they re-encode whatever images they pull?
server-side no?
If the link preview was generated by the sender, it could be abused to send a fake link preview. Server-side generation, like Discord does for example, is not possible, due to the end-to-end encryption. Every way of doing it has up- and downsides.
wouldnt it be more likely that they recieve the link and then make a request to a signal server that proxies it ?@@tardistrailers
I think Whatsapp does this. Because, from my experience, if you want to have preview for a link you're sending, you have to wait for it to generate on your device, otherwise it'll not have it.
@@yulin84no, E2EE means the servers cannot read the messages, so cannot see links

Thanks, Seytonic! Also, keep going with 5 news, please.
Funny thing is, image previews are generated on the senders device, so this would not be a viable attack avenue.

Anyone else thinking that WinRAR bug is actually an intentional hidden feature? It seems very strange how an app opens a file with the same base name (and a specific set of extension) as one from a parent folder.
very specific indeed
I do. Do any of you guys also find it weird that windows is installed on the rest of my irl friends computers? Don't even get me started on Intel.
Shit, kmeleon is obscure and probably never heard of now? That was my bread and butter browser back in Windows XP days.
Signal is widely used by Ukrainian Armed Forces, so exploit for the app might be realy desirable for russia.
Well, If Ukrainian people paid more then the Russians for a Signal RCE then i would sell to the Ukrainian if they paid me $2,000,000 but Besides that, i could care less if the Ukrainian Armed Forces are using Signal If I find a Signal RCE i want to get rich and sell it to the Russians so I can become a Millionaire. Always sell to the highest bidder.

I have thoroughly enjoyed joining you in your ventures and look forward to more. However though you are this ships captain take this passengers council.
many skippers before you have taken aggressive headings like these. Oft it saw them gain great fame and fortune. But many pushed their vessel and crew to the breaking point. Often requiring their vessel to dry dock for many months to make repairs and recover, taking the wind from their sails and robbing them of their momentum.
You have set yourself two goals, to travel further in future voyages and to make these journeys more frequently. Do not reach for both at once, slow yourself and focus on one at a time.
As said you are the captain and only you can plot this ships course, if you are truly determined to take this direction, remember, if part way into the voyage the seas look rough, the wave foreboding and the future uncertain, there is no shame in altering course nor docking at port for a week to recover and resupply.
TL;DR
Focus on one goal not two, and if you are really set on going for both remember you can always change the goal or skip a week.

Who uses WinRAR anyway? Isn't 7z the MR?
I use WinRAR
@@de-y But, why?
Even the latest W11 feature-update supports 7zip and rar filetypes natively, so we don't even need any software now anyway (although, I will still prefer to use 7z so I don't have to worry about telemetry data that's harvested by MS)
its just widespread and has no real issues. any guide or tutorial will suggest winrar and most ppl just end up having it.
(i use 7z though)
@@BASSNETIC-MUSICyou still can't edit RAR and 7-Zip files, so if you want there's 7z. It's shocking how they took so long to add it, just like tabs in the file explorer.
So that would be the same Papua New Guinea that China is currently trying to woo away from western influence towards becoming a Chinese ally in the South Pacific??
Man it is messed up they even need a rocket alert app in some parts of the world. But it makes me curious why we dont have those in the usa at the same time. Maybe our realtime mitigations capabilities are just that secret too. Im just speculating here btw
we have a national disaster alert system. They recently tested it, and there was a ballistic missile scare in hawaii using it a few years ago
The fact the usa had to rely on start up companies in Silicon Valley for certain weapons in combat as of recent, tells us all we need to know about their lack of mitigation capabilities on par to that. If the usa was that confident then it would likely be going out far more aggressively in their world exploits.

Who uses WinRAR anyways
Literally anyone who needs to open a zip on windows. Millions and millions of people every single day.
@@Atmatan_Kabbaher windows can do it itself now. and 7zip is superior.
@@DDD9216A Yes. However:
1. Not everyone knows that
2. Not everyone who uses windows is on 11. I personally run machines still on XP for software compatibility, as do many enterprise.
3. Some people still just use what they know. When you use a single software solution for literally decades it doesn't really matter if native accessibility exists when support is buried under contextual menus one might not know is there.

There’s a lot of anti-Palestine coded language being used in covering the rocket alert app topic that was rather disappointing. Also ignoring the purposeful genocide being committed by the occupying force Israel.
