I downloaded this several years ago, but then decided not to use it, since it wanted access to all my contacts. I didn't particularly care for that feature. Doesn't sound very private to me.

This is something that has been lingering in my mind for a while and when ALUX speaks somebody has got to listen. With the information provided in this video, additional research will not be necessary. I trust that signal will fix any pitfalls as technology evolves and catch up with its competitors. I use Signal for many years now, thanks for making other aware of it, too! About others not being on Signal, I just email with them. That stimulates others to use Signal as well, they will install it if they truly want to message you... I have had many people installing Signal for this reason ... ;-) I simply don't give in to install the commercial variants with flaky encryption and commercial models based on personal data exploitation.
I didn't know about signal.am learning about it today.at first I thought Ur about to talk about other type of signal.

Number 9 comment about baking up messages is not true. Signal does have a way to backup messages. However, I personally haven't used it because the one time I did it told me I had the wrong passcode. I also usually don't need to keep messages though

just 1 mistake, on the last question, signal has informations about your phone number (because they need it to make it work), the name you gave when you created the account (fisrt name is enough, last name is not mandatory) and your last connection timestamp (for new messages notifications)
I took the chance and used it since early Jan.
It’s been good and all parties involved seem to like it. This review was a very good reassurance to me, as I’m not involved in any type of social media.
My boy got some kind of program where you can get a fake number, programmed in the signal and use and he sends the code for the number so it’s completely a ghost I’m sure most of y’all know about this I’m not sure what the program is called
I'm proud of using signal even before the WhatsApp problem.

Been with it for half a year. It's amazing.
You better make a new video on Signal as it has gotten more features. You did not mention that Signal can backup locally and the backup is encrypted with a 24 digits code. You can upload the backup file to your preferred cloud storage manually when switching to a new phone.
Been using Signal for a couple of years now but.. would you please show how to get rid of Giphy Keyboard as Facebook owns them too and I can't get rid of that keyboard even when I don't have the app! Really annoying! Thanks!
