Emily is horrified to learn that her sister, Gertrude, has come to Sodor for a railtour. But little does she know that her once bossy sister wishes to make amends with her.

I think the idea of Emily having a sister should have been explored in the show. They did it with the successor to the GNR, so why not here? Good stuff!
Didn't expected Emily, of all engines on Sodor, holds a grudge against her own sister. I thought there's going to be a great reunion, guess not. Glad they apologized and set things for each other. Great episode.

Neither did I, I always assumed that Emily always had a good relationship with her older sister. Personally I always thought that she was the youngest one of her brothers and sisters, and her older sister would be the one who supported her. Just like with Thomas and his big brother Timothy.

It’s good to see the surviving sterling single coming to Sodor and honestly I think this engine would’ve been better off it was based at the blue Bell railway.

@@georgejonesthestarseeds77 It’s quite strange but here in America The best group of engineers have resurrected One of the greatest legends of the rails from all time in history that many thought wasn’t possible to do. and yet the sterling singles are just as much as legends to. Shirley one of the heritage railways in the United Kingdom could easily get this engine another chance

I love the part when Gertrude rescues Emily.
I did not expect Emily to be rude to her sister. But still glad her sister apologized to her.
Fun fact: the Stirling singles were prone to wheel slip due to they're huge drive wheel.
And because of that, they actually had a lot of trouble backing up. Moving that huge rail crane would have required the tracks to be hand-sanded to get the Sterling Single moving

I have a theory for why Gertrude was so bossy to Emily, it must be because Gertrude was afraid of scrap, and she didn't want that to happen to emily so she made sure Emily worked hard so that she was less likely to be sent away, at least that's what I feel like could have happened. Either way, this story and the character dynamics is astounding! Well done man!
I had a thought awhile ago of Emily’s sister being boastful and this is almost what I had in mind, Gertrude being bossy sounds a lot like hit era Emily and I think it was international. I’m glad Emily and Gertrude accepted each other’s apologies and are on better terms. With all these episodes it’s gonna be hard to choose a favorite

I like the final comments by Duck and Gertrude at the end. I think it is very likely that an engine on the Great Northern Railway would be very close to Duck’s mannerisms and passion for all things GWR or GNR. Both company names start with the word “Great,” have a direction as the middle part and end in “Railway.”

Gertrude is a really fitting name, and I don’t know what it is but Duck and Emily are a really good pairing.
Weird, in the RWS, there a bogey coach named Gertrude. She is one of the coaches in the Skarloey Railway.
Something else I forgot to mention I enjoyed here. I really liked how you gave Emily 4 coaches, the most she has been seen pulling in the TV series.
Awesome, the stirling single sisters seemed they had a bad history but in the end they'll get along better.

Regardless of the story, that model of the sterling single is gorgeous, isn’t it.
You know, the real-life locomotive that the model of the well-known G N R Stirling Single certainly happens to be very shockingly surprisingly impressively based on the real locomotive itself! By the way, the sound of Gertude's whistle certainly happens to be very shockingly surprisingly impressively the exact same whistle for Emily back when she'd been officially well-knowingly introduced in the show's own official complete classic era's complete 7th season!

Great northern railway, great eastern railway, great western railway, is there a great southern railway, can have them all on a compass. A great compass. 😂😂 Anyway this was great.
This story and Engine Arrival: Eagle are so similar. Edward was mad with Eagle getting purchased by Sir Topham Hatt because on the Furness Railway he spoke brutally to Jason, Edward's brother, causing him to suffer from anxiety. But Eagle proved what a good engine he is by helping Edward and Gordon with the Express and later apologising to Jason

So Thomas & the Railtours is a Spin off series from the original series Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends 1984 to 2008.
