- Update 3/31/22: I changed the measurements of panel 2&3 to 9" x 6 1/2" (23 x 16.5 cm), to accommodate differences when installing the zipper. After you finished installing the front zipper pocket, measure the height of your front exterior, trim off the bottom part (if any excess) so that your front exterior panel will measure 7 1/2" (19 cm) tall.
Finished bag measurements 8” x 7” x 1“ (20.3 x 17.8 x 2.5 cm)

Fabric A : 1 Fat Quarter or 1/4 yard of cotton quilting fabric

Fabric B : 1 Fat Quarter or 1/4 yard of cotton quilting fabric
Fabric C (for the adjustable strap) : 1/6 yard of fabric
*based on regular 44” wide cotton quilting fabric
**Please note that this project is designed for cotton quilting fabric. If you opt for heavier fabric, you need to adjust the interfacing accordingly, you may leave out the fusible fleece, or leave out all the interfacing altogether depending on the thickness of your fabric. I do not recommend very heavy fabric for this project.

I made two of these for my sister’s granddaughters. One of them was a dinosaur motif and the other cat motif. They came out great. I can tell that lots of work goes into the preparation of each video followed by the links. I like printing the pdf, doing all the cutting and attaching the interfacing or fleece, and then watching the video. This is a great kid’s size bag!

The features of this bag are perfect! Top and front zip, back compartment with a snap, and a long strap. Adjusting the measurements can give you a bag of any size you wish! I'm looking for one a little more narrow, but this will be easy to do. Thanks for the video!!

Yoan , this is just soooo pretty 🤩. I am glad I found your channel! I am learning to sew and this year , I am going to focus on bag making . I think each year , I want to focus on one thing and develop my skills to become proficient in that area.
My girl pals and family are lucky this year ….hahaha, I am making them bags ! I can’t use all bags for myself. That would be selfish.
I love what I see on your channel, great tutorials. I will start with easy so I build my confidence and not give up too easily.
This hobby is not a cheap hobby, I am discovering that , but it feels soooo good to make something useful and practical and giving it away just gets my endorphins over the cliff. So it’s a great mental de-stressing hobby, cheaper than going to a therapist! LOL
One gets two wins, gifting to someone and a de-stressor for the maker.
