I saw Worthy and I clicked☝🏽
Yes sir
I clicked when I saw Q&D
Ditto
📠🚫🧢
No facts.. imma watch bout anything I see with worthy on it
One of the greatest to play the game and could have easily been a franchise cornerstone but accepted to be a team player and it became a dynasty.
Great interview by Big Game James. One correction - Kareem was able to dunk in games as a sophomore (his first year with UCLA non-freshmen team). Before his junior season, the NCAA banned dunking - because of Kareem.
@@cooper482011 got banned because of Wilt I thought ?

James Worthy had New Balance on fire back n the day! James Worthy was a full beast at UNC and with LA Lakers
1 of the Only Reasons i wanted a Pair of New Balances!
Big Game James!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Worthy vs McHale in the playoffs was fire
Anytime I see a knuckleheads episode automatically click its gonna be fire not one bad season from them
NOT ONE‼️💯
Big facts
Worthy always classy, low key but a monster on the court
Legend this dude could do it all at 6’9
James Worthy will always have a place in my heart. Short but long story:
1987, Taste of Chicago, 3-on-3 classic. Worthy, Wilkins, Ewing playing against a team coached by Jordan. Worthy runs to the crowd and snatches a young 10 year old me, eventually puts me on his shoulders and I get me a dunk in this event. Back page of the Chicago Sun-Times. Live in LA now, hope to run into him just to see if he might remember it.
Wow, that was you?? My old man took me and my older sister the event at the taste. I was 5 and she was 9. My old man ended up passing away 2 years later after.
@DaRealNaga that was me man. Those were different times. Sorry about your loss at such a young age.
FROM GASTONIA NORTH CAROLINA I GIVE YOU JAMES WORTHY ALSO KNOWN AS"" BIG GAME JAMES"" 💯💯💯💥🏀🏀🏀
Thank you James for giving Kareem high praise!
If Kareem had the ability to come out earlier, who knows where the scoring record would be...
Not to take anything away from LeBron James, because he deserves every accolade that comes his way and is bestowed upon him.
While he understands, Kareem has never gotten the praise he richly deserves...
💯👍🏽
Man I could listen to James Worthy all day long.
As a kid growing up in the late 80s and early 90s, I NEVER saw "Big Game" James Worthy get tired, could run the break all night, getting Magic Johnson passes and STATUE OF LIBERTY 🗽 DUNKS, ONE OF THE UNDERRATED SMALL FORWARDS OF THE GAME!
Worthy is so well spoken, intelligent and honest.Good interview as usual.
I remember as a kid still in elementary school watching my first Lakers game, after hearing all of the Magic Johnson hype. However I remember my first thoughts being, who is this Worthy guy no one is talking about. He is killing it.
My all time favorite basketball player! I wore #42 because of Worthy and Jackie Robinson. Great interview!!!
My father use to love that one hand Worthy dunk...for me it was his back to the basket game.
Fanga roll. Big Game James in the house
I WAS ALWAYS A BIG GAME JAMES FAN BABY!!!
Finally I've heard someone give my cousin Purvis Short his props!!!
@@ThePlayersTribune1. How?
Purvis was a bum
James was my first fav player. The Statue of Liberty and especially the spin in the post was incredible
Much respect to Q+D. They always stood out to me when they were in the leage. Always loved playing with them in live/2k. Any team I had D. Miles was my SF 😂
i have him in PF in Live 05/07 (Dynasty Mode?) because he could dunk and not shoot😄
I gotta say Thank You 2 Knuckle-Heads for today's show !!! Big Game James the Silent Assassin.
Man his dropstep on the block was the fastest I've seen, and then could finish after the move.
As a diehard lakers fan there was nothing better than hearing Chick Hearn say, 'Rebound to Rambis who passes to Magic up the court to Worthyyyyyyyyyyyyy slammmmmmm dunkkkkkkk..The true lakers fans just had a flashback and silently smiled reminiscing the show time days....lol lol lol
I’m glad the Lakers of the 80s got to play In peace. The Warriors didn’t get the same pass
Big game James....the brother was def/ Worthy on that court
UNC TARHEELS BABY!!! JAMES WORTHY IS THE REASON I’M A TARHEEL FAN STARTING IN 1979 WHEN I WAS STATIONED IN GOLDSBORO NC AT SEYMOUR JOHNSON AFB!! I BLEED “CAROLINA BLUE💙”!!! 1982 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP🏀🏆
One of the underappreciated greats.
I love Worthy's comments on Kareem. Very insightful from a guy who would know.
@@ishetrying BLESSINGS 😎
My pops still has that Worthy New Balance poster up in the garage 😂.
North Carolinas finest!
The Magic 🪄 no look to Worthy on the Break is like basketball beauty - like when you got Magic running the break something special was gonna happen and James was so elegant - nothing like Showtime
Poetry... It was poetry in motion when Showtime was on the break. Like you said just beauty.
Big Game James was the coldest bucket getter loved his game, look at the books he got 28 a game easy back in the physical days of hoops
I remember when the Lakers came to the o2 arena for a pre-season game in London in 2010. I was there waiting for Kobe to come out - think he played about 5 mins, missed shot but that was my day made... and then James Worthy addressed the crowd at half time. I was in the same building at Big Game James and I smiled all the way home :)
He said” you know where I’m from,” to Bird.
The hood came out quick 😂😂😂
What’s funny was they were BOTH from the hood. I live in Indianapolis and West Baden is a white hood.
Love the knuckleheads cuz even though these dudes balled at the highest level, they approach things like a fan. They are super relatable, dudes I would to grab a beer 🍺 and smoke 💨 with and talk ball 🏀
Big game James !
These OG episodes be them ONES!! 🫡🫡🫡
Yessir
One the best programs about the NBA that I have ever seen. I grew up in Raleigh NC and watched James Worthy at Carolina. This was just awesome!!!
All the Larry bird stories are amazing!!! I didn’t know bird was really a killer
Trust and believe Larry is a legend fr. I've seen James talk about him before as his toughest cover, over MJ.
The way he said Gastonia got me weak 😂😭 I didn’t know he went to ashbrook I always thought he went to Huss
I think Eric " Sleepy" Floyd went to Huss.Imagine Gastonia had 2 players playing in the 1982 NCAA Championships.
Worthy…my favorite player of all time!
When did you know you were elite? When I was 6’8”!
Big Game James. NC legend. One of the best players to come out of the 704.
Not gon lie, I didn't do the knowledge and slept on NC basketball. Played against a dude from Charlotte one summer and he gave us all the business. He was just some lil white dude who went to school at Davidson. Nothing special athletically, but could shoot and pass and run all day. Respect to NC
@@MrBmick79 Mainly it's the 704 (Charlotte),919(Raleigh/Durham) and 336 (Greensboro/Winston-Salem) areas that always put out studs in NC for ball. 252 area (Eastern NC) got studs too outside of that Kinston pipeline.
Big Game James! Very Informative And Entertaining! Thanks Q & D!
Big Game James Worthy. Undisputed OG and a Legend
The legend... Takes great care of himself, he looks like he can still ball...
Worthy got a great radio voice. Deep with that drawl, very cool
I luv the fact you guys continue to put out the OGs on this 'cast. If you luv the game, you gotta know Worthy for sure. Keeping in mind, the players couldn't DUNK in college...no shot clock....a different era but perhaps more technical. Alex English once again....seems like he needs to be on this 'cast
Worthy is a fantastic guest. Honestly I can't think of 10 dudes I'd rather hear them talk to. He was a bad bad man.
Big Game James...Nuff Said!!!
Loved this interview. Hope they continue to bring on more past legends to the show. Their voices / stories deserved to be heard.
Big Game James💪💪💪
He was very underrated
That was great Big Game James
What they got James Worthy? Legendary
He seems so young still a lot of life left in big gam James
Those Larry Bird stories never disappoint 🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Fuckkkk you - you kno where i'm from?? i'm from gastonia" shit had me dying 😂
BIG GAME JAMES !!
As an old 1980s Celtics fan, I hated all Lakers, especially Magic and that dam goatee...but never had hatred for Worthy, James sped off that dam turn around off either block always amazed me, we knew it was coming but couldn't really stop it.
I love that Big Game appreciates the fans even to this day. He showed me love twice and I have a signed jersey on my wall. Thanks Big Game!
Big game James. He’s that dude definitely need all the flowers
D Miles and Q Rich bring the fire with this one
Best basketball podcast ever
One of the best to EVER do it!!! 🔥🔥
Wow! I clicked on this as soon as I saw him. Man..I'm a huge fan 👏🏾 🙌🏾 I'm glad to see him still doing well and speaking about his career. I haven't seen a lot of interviews with him. Great interview 👍🏾
Big Game James
Big Game James STATUE OF LIBERTY 🗽🏀 DUNK 🔥🔥🔥🔥
James Worthy played at Ashbrook High School in Gastonia. Same city Hassan Whiteside is from. Sleepy Floyd went to rival Hunter Huss down the street. Worthy’s Green Wave beat Floyd’s Huskies four straight times leading up to Floyd/Huss winning a massive upset in the state championship game. Then they went on to play each other in the UNC/Georgetown national championship.
Yes sir
Darrell Armstrong and Fred Durst too
Don't forget Darrell Armstrong too.
Big Game James was a force to be reckoned with.
Hands down y’all got the Best Show
@@ThePlayersTribune1. Alright thanks
Great interview. James is always a good interview. Very intelligent. Tells it straight. Always lots of insights about being in the era that blew up the NBA. That brought the NBA back and to a new level. A true legend who was such a key player to that Lakers dynasty. Just meant to be. Perfect player to run with Magic and showtime.
Mannn I got see that Mc Ds game... two of my AAU teammates were on it... Red Bruin and Sid Green...
Wasn't on tv back then. Have you ever seen it? That 79 group is still the best high school class ever.

I remember some flash highlights. That class was loaded. Terry Cummings wasn't on the team and he was the number 2 pick.

BIG GAME JAMES💯🏀🙏🏽
What a gentleman.
Big game james!! OG! Lakers Nation!
Worthy to be praised
"Tell everybody I said yo"..... at that point, I clicked the like button. Big game James!
Big Game was the best to receive the no-look passes from Magic on the fast break. He brought down the house on many occasions. That had to be a scary sight to see that coming full speed for the defenders. One of the greatest ever!!
probably the best episode yet. james worthy is such a knowledge base. q...man...idk where to start. you have developed so well as a host. the way your energy carries the life of these conversation is an underrated skill. additionally, the intros, outros, and transitions have been nothing short of amazing. lastly, darius miles' curiosity and interest of the guest history has provided amazing stories and topics. the questions you have been asking don't feel scripted. they feel genuine and its amazing to see your growth as a journalist.
keep up the good work! personally taking some strong soft skills from y'all in my professional career
Man yall did it again! My favorite player of all-time. This coming from someone who was a kid in the 90s "Jordan Era". MJ is the GOAT, but Big James Games?! Boyyyyy
LeBron is the GOAT followed by Russell, Kareem, Wilt, Duncan, Curry, Oscar, Bird, Jerry West, Kobe, Magic, Elgin Baylor, Moses Malone, Julius Irving, etc. Jordan is somewhere around 17th.
Big Game giving Game💯💯🔥🔥🔥
Worthy was always a problem ..A menace with the Goggles 👀 🔥💯🔥🏀🔥👀
lifelong Celtics fan here..but I have mad respect for Worthy
Mannnnn!! you guys deserve an Emmy or Espy or whatever!!!
Top 10 Underrated Player Of All Time.
Undeniable.
He’s a HOF. Def not underrated 😂
Underrated is someone like T-Mac who gets left out of the top 75 NBA Players
@@kingkoopa654
Why can’t a HOF be underrated? I think he’s one of the greatest wings of all time.
He gets left out that shuffle because he never got the chance to be a #1 in the ilk of Dantley, English, King, etc.
@@tyjohnson3111 The man said hes not underrated cos he's HOF then named T Mac, a Hall of Famer! 😂
@@silewis9396
TMac may be underrated in terms of winning because he did carry some teams in ORL for a stretch of time and he got his All-NBAs which I think he has more of than Worthy.
So people could make the argument he was better, but then on the flip side vouch for Worthy and his playoff greatness and how his game changed from the regular to postseason, especially in the Finals.
Regardless both are underrated to an extent, but I don’t think TMac comes in the Top 10 of Underrated Players in my Opinion. I look at guys who really were borderline/weak All-NBA caliber, but more so strong All Star caliber for underrated guys imo.
The only 'James' I recognized as a Laker legend!🔥
Damn you a hater, keep your focus on THIS guest loser mf
Just took a shot at lebron for no reason at all ehh mate??😂😂Idky he’s always on you guys mind. You can give the legend worthy credit without taking a random gay shot at lebron.
Way to make it about Lebron.
I mean why throw shade at Lebron?
I TRULY TRULY LOVE THIS MAN BIG GAME JAMES IDOLIZE THEM AT GROWING UP AS A KID YOU ARE TRULY INSPIRATION IN MY LIFE ✌️❤️💯

WHO CAN FORGET “THE DEAN SMITH TARHEELS 4 CORNERS” BACK IN THE DAY!!! THANK GOD 🙏🏽 FOR THE SHOT CLOCK ⏰ IN COLLEGE BASKETBALL 🏀!!!🙌🏽💪🏽🔥💯🏀😎🏆
Classy, intelligent, love me some Big Game James. And I REALLY appreciate him giving props to longtime Lakers announcer, Chick Hearn, who gave him the name. For Angelinos, Chick Hearn was a VITAL Lakers all-star.
I CONCUR 😌💪🏿🤞🏿
“We always had some biscuits and molasses “ 😂😂 that was the most 60s thing i ever heard
Was just watching some Celtics highlights, and realized Rick Fox has played for the Tar Heels, the Celtics, and the Lakers...AND he had a great cameo in He Got Game! Get him on!
Hes played a basketball player in a lot of shows and movies, he was in that show "Oz" back in the day playing a baller who got locked up, "Party down" he played himself iirc as a retired baller giving motivational speeches, hes actually had a ton of different acting gigs, both tv and movies
