- ...plus Ronso. Just something I put together. The visuals took longer than the song :p Bahamut and the Magus Sisters' hymns are not included because they are off-key compared to the other Aeons. And Ronsos. All that's really missing is the original Hymn, found in temple lobbies, and Tidus' Hum of the Fayth.

The lyrics to the Hymn - "Ieyui nobomeno renmiri yojuyogo hasatekanae kutamae" - are jibberish in Japanese, but contain a word puzzle that can be solved to reveal the actual lyrics: "Inore yo, Ebon-ju / Yume mi yo, inorigo / Hatenaku / Sakaetamae." Roughly translated, the Hymn is a prayer for the Fayth to remain asleep and for Yu Yevon to grant prosperity.

on a side note, I feel that when I sing the hymn I sound most like Ifrit.
+Leonidas Thanatos , it seems during eveyones annoyance with missing hymns they forget to mention 2 other versions from the game that are present in the OST: Al Bhed and Spira, not complaining, I just don't want everyone to forget about these versions.
+Leonidas Thanatos The Spira version is one of the better ones IMO. Partially for its meaningful reason in the storyline, and also because I think it sounds amazing. All of the people in the world together singing one prayer in unison, there's something beautiful about it. It's truly a shame there will never be a game like this again with such memorable graphics, plot, and music.

dude.....I had NO IDEA the hymn was being sang by the different Aeons with each temple the game has you visit! I definitely noticed the voice change...just never processed what it actually meant! sooooooo coooooooool!!!
Shiva's version of the Hymn was always my favorite. Whoever they got to sing for her was an excellent choice, she has a set of powerful lungs on her.
She's the Soprano.
Its actually the diaphragm that creates power in your voice not the lungs

Im getting this vibe of a concert hall that starts with a spotlight on a dark stage where you only see 1 female singer that vaguely resembles valefor and then after every round another spotlight lights up revealing a male singer resembling ifrit and so on until the whole round is complete.
+Lucas Kayne 7 singers arranged in a semi-circle around the outside of the stage, the first female as you said being illuminated, then the others. With a dancer or dancers performing a sending in the middle. Slowly, as each spotlight comes on (and subsequently turns off) the whole stage is eventually drowned in blue light, with just the dancers finalising the dance as the last spotlight goes.

@@SorrowShadow1 I think everybody had to. I did, my first playthrough. Playing the Remaster, that grinding session was one of the main selling points for even buying it. Though deep down I expected, in my advanced years, I wouldn't have a problem, he still whooped my butt. And I went down smiling at it.
@@CloudStrife-rw8bj Only thing I ever one-shotted with Yojimbo was Dark Valefor. I went back to Besaid for something and that monster appeared out of nowhere. I didn't even know about Dark Aeons then. Afterwards I regretted not taking it down legit though.
When Kimahri's face showed up I had a moment because I always pictured Kimahri as Yuna's most likely final Aeon, had she followed through with a normal pilgrimage

This is the first song that I ever learned by heart, and it's not even in a living language. Nor is X my favorite Final Fantasy.
I love how deeply spiritual this song is, so that even one of little faith such as I can find some comfort in singing it.
Fun fact is, it's actually in japanese, it's just that the syllables were arranged differently (read horizontally instead of vertically)
Their voices really do work in great synchronisation. Stellar work.
This is really well put together, although I'd say the best parts are the Valefor/Ifrit and Anima/Yojimbo duets at the beginning and end, plus of course the one of everyone together. Listening to Yojimbo after Anima goes quiet is especially emotional.
I am currently playing final fantasy X as of this moment, I just got Yojimbo and i was surprised at how beautiful his hymn was. I am in l o v e with this so much, the plot is so rich and everything is amazing.
I remember playing this game when I was hella young and whenever I heard this song, I always thought it made Final Fantasy X so much more meaningful and interesting.
It's definitely a nostalgic experience listening to this so many years later.

the more powerful this gets, the more emotions the hymn gives me to the point i feel as though crying would be almost acceptable, since it could be taken as a form of respect. Respect the hymn, and enjoy it, because jecht lost the means to hear it, and it destroyed him emotionally.
Anima and Ixion's voices carry the melody imo. They're so much more prominent throughout the song. You can really hear them at 3:53-4:15. Deep voice representation
I played this game and I never realized until now how much they invested so much in this game at the time. Graphics and animation (obviously), the stories and backstories, voices, songs and music, the illustrations. And there’s even a place in the game where you look back at the cutscenes and songs.
At some point they even scrapped whole story concept and started over. Back then they wanted to make great game.

Think about those buildings in Zanarkand or anywhere on Spira, they hardly look anything similar in Real-Life like some other Final Fantasy games.

Another hymn that is not present is the hymn Yu Yevon emits at the start of the final showdown right after Jecht, but it is very VERY distorted and may not work, but it could.
Sadly I could not find it in the soundtrack :( It may count as a voice line/sound effect
