Armenia, a resilient nation nestled in the South Caucasus region, finds itself in a fierce battle for survival
and sovereignty. Amidst these challenges, India emerges as an unexpected ally, arming Armenia with a
diverse array of Weapons Systems. This strategic move comes as Armenia takes a bold pro-Western and
anti-Russia geopolitical stance, diverging from its traditional ties to Russia's sphere of influence.
Delving into the history of Armenia's roots tracing back over 2,500 years, from its Zoroastrian past to
becoming one of the earliest Christian kingdoms. However, its history is marred by adversities, notably with
Turkey and Azerbaijan. Turkey, Armenia's historical adversary, has a complex history marked by genocides
and conflicts, including the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
The USSR era saw Armenia and Azerbaijan entangled in conflicts over regions like Nagorno-Karabakh.
Fast forward to recent times, Azerbaijan's successful 2020 offensive saw them reclaiming territories,
sparking tensions. Armenia's membership in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), led by
Russia, faced a critical test when Russia did not intervene during Azerbaijan's attacks.
This geopolitical rift led Armenia to shift towards a more Western-aligned stance, feeling let down by its
traditional ally. India's role in arming Armenia, despite its anti-Russia stance, adds an intriguing layer. Iran's
role in facilitating India's arms shipments to Armenia, amid its alliances with Russia and China, hints at a
complex web of alliances shaping the region's future. As Armenia navigates this geopolitical landscape, its
strategic choices could redefine the region's dynamics.

I like India’s stand as well as Russia’s. They know what they stands for and What they do not. To some extent I also think Russia do not want to Instigate any War in the world Just Like India. So, That’s a Good Set of Values for a Country to Stand For.

It's cost effective and will help them destroy Drones as well as Loitering Munitions who look to target Armenian Armoured Columns. Lourering Munitions can also be offered to Armenia by India. Again cost effective and increases their firepower against Azeri invasion.
Another set of weapons that can be offered to Armenia include DRDO MANPADS & Rudra Helicopters.
MANPADS will help their armoured columns to defend themselves against aerial attacks by Azerbaijan while LCH will give their Armed Forces aerial protection while organizing a counter attack and also defend against Azeri onslaught.

My "CLEVER" man, those territories which Azerbaijan reclaimed are "INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED TERRITORIES OF AZERBAIJAN". This means Azerbaijan can attempt to regain its territories "100" times regardless of how many times armenians invade. Additionally, Azerbaijan has 3.5 times more manpower than Armenia, leading to an endless war in the region. As an ordinary citizen, you may not need to concern yourself with wars being in India, but ordinary people in the Caucasus are drafted if a war breaks out. Think twice; peace needs to be settled sooner or later."

Armenia is not anti-Russian state as such. It is merely distancing itself from Russia for the time being. Still, Armenia is connected to Russia economically. Relations with Russia have only gone kind of sour 2-3 years ago. Also, Russia is home to at least 1 million ethnic Armenians, and many more if you count half-bloods. So there is still a strong connection to Russia.

4:40.... the rift? Pashinyan did NOT invoke CSTO during the 2020 war when Armenia proper was attacked. So, let's ask Pashinyan, why? Who told him not to?

That entire area where Armenians lived in Ottoman Empire, was Armenia prior the Turks immigrated from around mangolia and who knows where and conquered Armenia and made a country for themselves. There was no country called Turkey or even Ottoman Empire prior Middle Ages

thanks for this analysis, Abhijit; what little remains of Armenia is an indispensable part of the India-to-Black Sea transport corridor; let us be clear, Russia has seen Armenia and Armenians as raw material for the last 300 or so years, *not* as a People and a State that can govern themselves ... despite promises it has voiced from its top echelons time and again; Armenian-origin supporters of Russian imperialism, like Lavrov, Mishustin, Margarita Simonyan, and numerous others may be fine with it, but having felt Russia's dehumanizing, degrading, murderous ever-presence in their family past and everyday lives, Armenians who still retain a modicum of self-respect are naturally opposed to Russian imperialism; Pashinyan is Putin's puppy, pretends to be "afraid" of Russia's revenge if he takes bold steps, however, inwardly he is not a Westernizer but a faker, who has surrounded himself with an array of Kremlin agents ever since he has taken power in 2018; India and the Western allies should take effective steps to restrain Pashinyan's anti-Armenian Statehood actions ... until such time as his duplicitous régime can be replaced with a national one that defends Armenia's interests
