  • Here we have MAINFRAME-B MIDI Visualizer displaying on 12 duplicated 16x16 LED grids, with a digital piano connected to it through Ableton.
    The only "stimulus" going to MAINFRAME for visualization are the MIDI notes from the piano. The magic you see here is from MAINFRAME's built in modulation functions, which is what makes the lights come alive. Using modulation you can match a visual's hue, brightness, pattern, etc. based on the MIDI note's pitch or velocity.
    Modulate a few parameters and this is what it can look like - crazy analog chaos.
