- Having posted albums by Nana Kwame Ampadu’s protégées like Senior Eddie Donkor, Teacher Boateng, and Nanaba Yaw Amoako, it is time that I post another album by the master himself and his African Brothers International Band of Ghana.
Given the sheer number of albums that Nana Ampadu released, it is always a difficult choice as to which one to post. This time I decided to go with “Okwaduo Wodeɛ Wokɔo Na Wonuanom,” which is my father’s favorite Ampadu song and album and the first one I remember him introducing me to. My personal favorite song on the album is “Ɛyɛ Koko,” one of the great love songs in Highlife history.
A1 Okwaduo
A2 Ma Anoma Nua
A3 Ɛyɛ Koko

We igbos from eastern Nigeria love Ghanaian highlife music of the 60's and 70's
Nana Kames Ampadu was the hilife King..Rest in Perfect peace with the Lord ❤
The emergence of the African Brothers Band as a big force on the guitar band scene. These tunes comprise songs during the period 1966-67, and showcase Ampadu's wisecracks, strong lyrics, and a guitar line featuring Ampadu on lead guitar, especially on side B of the album. Side A which starts with the great hit Okwaduo highlights the duo guitar works of Ampadu on lead guitar, and Eddie Donkor on rhythm guitar. Joe Dee on bass guitar on all tracks. Credit to Rover Amo and Oppong Kyekyeku on backing tenor vocals
