  • Osobrokyeɛ (sometimes spelled Osobrokye or Osobro Kyee or Asrobrokye) is probably the most famous song released by Dr. Paa Bobo and his 3 Axes band. It has all of the elements that make Paa Bobo’s music so resonant: the unique voice, the biting sense of humor (even in a love song), and the great guitar interplay. Paa Bobo re-recorded the song multiple times in his career but the version on this album is, to my knowledge, the original version.
This album, as with most of Paa Bobo’s early full-length albums, was released on the Nigerian KCLUBB record label. In addition to Osobrokyee, it has such Paa Bobo classics as Edie Mpo Ni, Comfort, and Wanyamesom Ni?
    Enjoy, like, subscrobe, and comment.

    A2 Wanyamesom Ni?
    A3 Efie Mpo Ni?

Recording in Nigeria in the late 70s and 80s gave many Ghanaian artistes the promotion, money and wider spread which encouged many Ghanaian high life musicians and singers to release more songs in Nigeria. Okukuseku, African Brothers International band, Canadoes, Ashanti Brothers, Odoyewu International Band, City Boys Band, Apollo International band... were all based and recorded in Nigeria. They played regularly in various places in Easten regions in Nigeria. Their music was and are still very popular in Aba, Enugu, Onitsha, Umuahia, Owerri, Nsukka, Awka, Asaba and other towns in Nigeria. They still enjoy airplay on Radio station on highlife segments till date.

The Ghanaian leader Rawlings imposed a curfew in Ghana that led to the fleeing of live music bands from Ghana destroying the music industry in Ghana
