- Super Eagles of Nigeria produced an impressive comeback at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium after coming from behind to beat Benin Republic 2-1 in their opening group game of the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers on Wednesday evening.
Gernot Rohr made three changes to the side that executed the last international game versus Brazil, with Daniel Akpeyi, Ola Aina and Samuel Kalu afforded starting spots in Uyo.
Nigeria suffered a blow after just three minutes in when some sloppy defending allowed Stephane Sessegnon to slot past Daniel Akpeyi and put the visitors ahead.
Nigeria flew out at their opponents after the setback, with Samuel Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi looking particularly dangerous, and the former could have gotten the equaliser when he struck the frame with his shot.
The leveller eventually arrived from the spot just before the break, after Iwobi played in Ola Aina who was brought down by Nabil Yarou in the area. Victor Osimhen duly stepped up and sent Fabien Farnolle the wrong way.
Rohr's team upped their ante after the restart and the pressure they sustained on the opposition soon paid off when Samuel Kalu took on the opposition defence in breathtaking style before bending a low shot into the bottom left corner in the 63rd minute. - Sport

This is by far the best Supper Eagle team. Individually, every player on team is skillful. But the guy on the left back needs to up his game....that wing is leaking. These guys hangout a little longer and Nigeria will eventually become the team to beat. The handlers are doing an awesome job. And my goodness!!!! UYO is an amazingly beautiful city.....I did a research on AKWA IBOM the other day. Plenty love and respect(to my fellow Nigerian brothers and sisters) from Houston Texas.

It's just one camera angle the entire match, no camera behind the goal or in front/over head.
Not only the quality of the video, which is snow job as it's called in the USA. I guess the recording was cell phone production. We know they have weak defense is like no importance was placed on it, as though everybody have to attack and score. Defense role are important too. why their style of play did not reflect professional flares? 99% of them play in Europe. I read that the coach Gernot, on;y include one local player. We will get there one day!

I really do not understand why Akwa ibom will allow Nigeria to be hosting Super Eafles in Uyo in a stadium built with state resources. I hope they (Akwa Ibom) are charging NFA maximally.
