3-Wire Earth Resistance Tests using the Metrel Eurotest XC Multifunction Tester

This is a record of some 3-wire earth resistance tests using the Metrel MI 3152 Eurotest XC multifuction tester. This new power & steam generation site (CHP) is yet to be commissioned, so we undertake some earth resistance tests around the substation containers prior to any energisation works. This is to ensure we have an effective earthing network and PE connections to the switchgear, transformers, control cabinets, MCC's and other electrical apparatus. We can then check our measurements against the calculated values as detailed in the earthing network report.
