I think a lot of the people who get these and complain about braking power need to also adjust their caliper

alright for anyone who hasn't figured out how to get the pin out. you have to first take the brake adjustable bolt off fully because it's in the way of the pin coming out. now take apart the caliper and locate the pin under the plate of the pad, and put the caliper in a vice and take a screwdriver and hammer and bang the pin out. it has rivets in the pin to hold it in place so that's why it's hard to get out.

Ive inherited a basket case. No brakes right now. And aside from other obvious izzues in that dept i was wondering if the caliper is supposed to be floating or bolted. My guess is floating, i cant see how it would escape, but the previous owner bolted it in.

I put a one of these brake calipers with a cable on my vintage go cart. Everything is brand new. It works, but not very well. I’ve adjusted and re adjusted, checked and double checked. Arrow is pointed towards the front of the cart. I do not know what else to do. The tires should lock up. I have to push so hard and I barely slow down.
    Thank you!

The pin is serrated and pushed into the aluminum, hammer it out with a nail punch or screwdriver, you’ll be able to push it into the hole on the other side and hammer it in, just did this last week.
