    Awesome! Comparing the price of manufactured stretchers from Amazon, ebay etc. and Import fees, damn it I had to gather some few cash on budget to a design similar one for my small print studio. Ghana says Thank You.

    I really enjoyed watching you DIY Screen Stretching. Good stretcher. Wouldn't mind seeing the exact dimension of each of those 4 units and your table size & layout. With that I think I could make one. My son wants me to do some for him. Anyway to contact you

    Nice jig, but an oversized newmsn roller frame will achieve the same results. A tension meter is a must!

    I appreciate the info! I have a drum head tension gauge that might be useful. Never thought of using it before. I’ll give that a try.

      This GENIUS technique by Nican GadinganHD will BLOW YOUR MIND. You don't need all the clamps and steel bars....all you need is a piece of board with nails spaced about an inch apart on one side of the board. I tried it and it works! Instead of using glue on the screens I used staples......that's it ! Here is the link czcams.com/video/_TDfPp32z98/video.html

      That is a good idea but not as accurate and it's not very easy to get staples in an aluminum frame.

    • @junity1
      @junity1 Před 6 lety

      You are right. It is meant for wooden frames.

      I've tried many and the best one is from Rhinotech.
      Use the 2 part kit not the instant type.
      Number RMA3000.
      A quart goes a long way but I usually buy a gallon. Only mix what you are going to use.

      The Basement I appreciate it, by the way where did u buy all the steel at? You think home depot might have all of them?

    • @berardiracing92
      @berardiracing92  Před 6 lety +2

      Not likely that steel is available at H.D. I'm not just a screen printer, I'm a fabricator too. I buy all my supplies at a steel yard. All the parts to build this unit came from supplies I had on the shelf so I can't tell you exactly how much it cost. Check your local steel shop and see if they have a scrap section. Most do. You can save huge from new.

    Thank you so much for your video. What is the rubber band you use on the clamps ?

    • @berardiracing92
      @berardiracing92  Před 5 lety

      Hey Thomas, there's no rubber bands on the clamps.

    • @bananasESCT
      @bananasESCT Před 5 lety

      On the bars that hold the mesh, there is a rubber for it not to slip. Sorry my question wasn’t precise enough

    • @berardiracing92
      @berardiracing92  Před 5 lety

      @@bananasESCT the rubber on the clamping bars is a serpentine belt. It's the same belt you find on cars and trucks. It's ribbed so the two pieces of belt hold the material when clamped together.
      The pieces of belt are glued to the bars with weather strip adhesive.

      The adhesive we are using in this video is from Screen printing.com
      SKU: GNSU-GLUEKIT
      $39.99 USD
      Rhinotechinc.com has some good products as well. Possibly a little stronger than what we are using here.

    Berardi, actually with Nican's technique,you can still use it on metal frames. The key thing is his simple stretching technique. He didn't use any staples in this video ,just glue. see the video .. czcams.com/video/_TDfPp32z98/video.html
