We want your thoughts and comments below. What kind of project are you working on? What Mustang are you daily driving?
Today we are working on a 66 Mustang with 8" axle and we show you how to pull the axle out and remove the axle seal. This will be part 1 of a 3 part series where we show you how to remove the axle, remove the axle seal, install the new seal, re-install the axle. The same process works on a 9" Ford axle also.

I really enjoy your videos man. So far I've watched every one. I am rebuilding a 65 mustang and your videos have been informative short and to the point. Much better than any of the other mustang related CZcams Chanel's. Most of them talk way to much and add a bunch of unnecessary stuff to their videos.

I am working on a 1968 ford Fairlane 8" axel. Your videos are very helpful. I have two questions.
1st I see some breaks have Drum Brake Shoe Anchor Guide Pin Plates and some don't. How do I find out if mine are missing or not that design?
2nd is there a tork spec for wheel cylinder bolts? Thanks

Great video but title should be how to remove seal, as didn't show steps and special tool needed for installing the new one.

So that’s it , you didn’t have to unlock the axle from the main gears , I feel that there is much to it , and you fail to deliver .

These axles don't lock in the main gears. They are bolted on the flange and then simply pull out.
