I always felt that Sonic Heroes was like Super Mario Sunshine. A bit janky, but had a charm that's really stayed with fans all these years.
Just like sunshine , heroes is super divisive (which is every sonic game lol) but still , this games outlook is so mixed people either love it , hate it , feel meh about it

Anyone can come up with manipulated statistics, especially when there is only one launch. You can only theorize what that launch would look like if something were different.
Apparently the group message issue isn't actually about bubble colors. It's about how replies work and and how the messages get organized. Apparently there's some extra hoops to jump through or some way Android messages mess it up. Actual functional differences that make the group chat a bit more onerous

The thing that doesn’t make sense about PlayStation Stars is that it is relegated to the app. It makes no sense that it isn’t on the PlayStation console aside from viewing ppl’s collectibles.

I loved Sonic Heros as a kid so I’m definitely hoping they do it some justice 🤞🏽
Sonic Heroes was one that when I first picked it up at a thrift store for only $3 bucks when the Gamecube version is the most expesive and when I first was playing it through Team Sonic's campaign, I didn't really jive with it at first and just got stuck in the last section of Haunted Castle and dropped it for a bit, but then when I finally watched people who knew how to play it and I applied that to me, I enjoyed it a lot more. And I would say that Heroes is the game that needs the remake more because as fun as it is, it has parts that are super janky compared to the Adventure games so it getting a chance to have a new layer of polish would be very appreciated
The fact that the higher ups at Sony thought it would be a great idea to make a bobblehead version of Jim Ryan and think that people want that just shows how detached they are from their consumer base
I want it as a homage to the great man. Sure, as a gamer some decisions sucked, but from a business standpoint, he only enriched me with dividend payouts through all the faux outrage and during his tenure.

Sonic Heroes is an absolute classic, I’ve been obsessed with that game ever since I saw it in the store as a kid after playing Sonic Advanced. We got it on PS2 and I’ve played it at least once every year since then. Since about 2008 I’ve been playing it on PC though lol
I got Sonic heroes on the PC (still have the cd). I would love to see a remake. It'll be the perfect addition to my steamdeck library

Sonic Hereos was the LAST Sega game I ever though was going to be remade. THE INTERNET HAS BEEN WAYY TO QUIET ABOUT IT! I was mainly a sonic adventure fan. But I played hereos for a little bit before (and recently re-bought it for myself ) so its just crazy how a game I recently bought randomly is going to have a remake! :O

Sonic Heroes would be a good game to get a remake, as it gives Sega a chance to make any flops they're going to make with an Adventure Era remake and (hopefully) learn from it, without messing up everyone's favorite entries from that era. Then maybe they can make an absolute gem of a remake for SA 1 and 2 later down the line.

I love android more than iphone because im more of a thinkerer and iphones restrictions would always make it hard for anything, i used to jailbreak my iphones just to download emulators, i loved gba4ios and then i switched to android and everything was more open that you could sideload apps without many restrictions. I also have many more custimazations available and not a big deal breaker bit i enjoy pens on a galaxy note
Sonic Heroes has the best final boss theme in any Sonic game so the remake would be worth buying just for the boss fight

Personally, I think rebirth is far better. FF16 starts well but quickly becomes mundane and unchallenging with poor side quests. It’s not much of an RPG sadly, but if you like an action DMC light with lots of cut scenes, and the story hits you right, hopefully you’ll love it.

Obviously they see now they shot themselves in the foot because it didn't sell how they wanted, since a lot of FF fans hated them ditching the FF formula. FF15 was already heavily criticized for exactly that lol

I wish Final Fantasy would take the time to iterate on their most recent entries just to refine and fix up some ideas and attempts that didn't fully hit the mark. And maybe scale the scope down so they don't have as many performance issues. It looks like 16 and 7 Rebirth both had issues on that front which is weird since they were both focused solely on PS5.

Final fantasy 16 was developed for ps5 in mind, any alternative platform releases could potentially be an ff7 remake situation when it went to PC.

I never got to beat Sonic Heroes before losing my Cube. Looking forward to beating that again. Though, I'd really really really love to see Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 remade in unreal engine. Loved those games as a kid. Especially that sound track.

I'm glad I don't care about frame rate, I just play the games and enjoy them, so much focus on graphics and frame rates is tacking it's toll on the industry

For the record, I actively keep up with playstation stars. I'm level 4 and my collection is pretty large. Keep in mind, sometimes just starting a quest and playing the games you were gonna play anyway can give you coins. Those coins can turn into ps gift cards. I've used stars to get like 30 dollars worth of cards for free

as for heroes itself they should polish up the controls and collision detection and basically just fix the jank, also make the rail switching use shoulder buttons like the boost games so u dont accidentally fall off and die
and pls make the special stages control like they did in generations 3ds, they were the same thing as the ones in heroes but u could actually turn properly
also some of the level design could do with some changes cuz damn did some of those stages in team dark go on for too long, and team chaotic was mostly just 'collect x amount of thing' fetchquests

I doubt this lawsuit would affect game console storefronts. When the EU targeted Apple for example, it was specifically for what they deemed to be 'gatekeeper' company. I think it's just the fact that their ecosystem spreads out and effects many different sectors of the economy, not so much with game consoles.
I liked when Sonic would shake things up in the gamsphere. Offshoots like Sonic Spinball, Sonic Fighters and Sonic R(racing) were well-made, fun distractions from the competition. How about a Sonic RPG? NBA Jam starting Sonic? A family-friendly Sonic X-treme Beach Volleyball, anyone? 😅

I’m concerned about the Switch 2, after you discussed FF16 potentially coming to the next gen Switch in 2 years. This console is going to launch underpowered again, we all believe their console has been ready perhaps 1 or 2 years already. When this thing releases next year it’ll already be 3 years older than it should be.
Nintendo hasn't been concerned with powerful hardware since the GameCube. So yes, the Switch 2 will be "underpowered"; however, Nintendo's main concern is price. They don't want this thing to be more than $300 or $350 at the most. And considering that they've sold 138 million Switch consoles, I think Nintendo will be fine if they stick to that same strategy.
The switch isn't underpowered though, it's a handheld. It's ridiculous to compare it to ps4 or any other console.

I was a diehard android fan for a decade or so, but finally switched to iOS about 3-4 years back. The reason being I got sick and tired of app development always taking a backseat to apple. Apps that I enjoyed simply stopped getting support and never got replacements, so for a majority of how I used my android phone: sucked. That and popular apps always felt worse and buggy on Android. I'd see my wife's experience with things like Spotify, different email apps, etc and they were wildly different than mine. It got to the point where I just got sick and tired of feeling 2nd class citizen for the same price.
Oh, and the resale value of Android is dogshit. She'd get like $500 back when trading in while I'd get $50. Yeah, fuck that.
