    First review of yours that I've come across, and I just want to say I really appreciate how much useful info you shared without making us wade through a bunch of filler. Got just what I needed to make a decision and move on with my day, all in under 7 minutes. THANK YOU!

    Thanks for your review! My 2 year old is about to take his first 10 hour flight and I’m looking for something to make him more comfortable (he flies 3 hour max flights regularly). Recently he’s been hating being in his stroller and loves pushing it more. Did your little guy miss having the stroller in the airport? We have a 4 hour layover after the 10 hour flight, so wondering if it’s smart to check the stroller or just bring it.

    Thank you for the review! I am traveling with my just turned 3 year old from Japan to the U.S, and I was thinking about purchasing Jetkids Bedbox. I think I am going with the backpack bundle as well.

      Although most do allow it just make sure to check that the airline allows it. jet-kids.com/approved-airline-list/

    I bought this for my six year old sister since she is getting too big for a Trunki suitcase. The price difference is big, but it‘s cool that the suitcase can be used as a seating matress. My sister can rest her legs easily with that. Also, I like the colors.

    Awesome review! I didn't know the backpack attaches to the suitcase like that, pretty convenient! I bet Alistair got a lot of jealous looks from the other kids, lol

      I think he got more jealous parents look on how easy it was versus carrying the kid or chasing them 😂

    Thanks for the review! The backpack looks like it has some really nice features (expandable, drawstring to help keep everything inside if it gets turned upside down) but I agree about the water bottle pocket! The suitcase sounds like it needs a full redesign, though. Not having a rigid handle or four rotating wheels would be ergonomic dealbreakers for me. I think we're going to try traveling with the folding trike instead... I'm just irrationally worried about security guards saying, "No bikes allowed!"

    • @kevin-lu
      @kevin-lu  Před rokem +1

      If it’s the Liki Trike as long as you have it in the mode where you control they’re okay with it. They just usually don’t want kids riding and bumping into people or stuff.

      Is it the first time flying for your toddler? I know for my son our first 4 1/2 hour flight was the easiest. He was enjoying all the activities and snacks we brought for him. Although 13 hours is much longer. Good luck!

      How’d your flight go? Did you end up trying this? How’d your 2 year old do? My 2 year old flies all the time, but we’re going on a 10 hour flight so I’m looking for something to make him more comfortable.

      @@kevin-lu beats me too, i tot they were built to be super durable. could be because we bought it in 2019 and son was too young to ride on it. and we only began using it in May-2022 when borders open. it could be because of knocks during transportation idk, or going through too many small bumps my son is about 16kg.

    Thanks for the thorough review. I'm really considering getting this one. Did you experience any issues making turns when your son was riding it? I'm wondering for like TSA lines if a kid would have to get off because of the zigzag TSA lines.

    • @kevin-lu
      @kevin-lu  Před 8 měsíci

      I haven't had much issues making turns, but I also don't really go fast with it just to be safe. The few airports I've used it at I didn't have any issues navigating the TSA lines since generally the move fairly slow. You do have to be careful of the Jetkids hitting one of the base of those stanchion (the things that make the rope barriers.) Hitting one of those at a fast pace would not be good.

    Can it be used if the seats are in front row which no any seat row before?

    Thanks for the review, how many of your kid's clothing can you actually fit inside the suitcase? BTW, is that an IKEA light by the door?

    • @kevin-lu
      @kevin-lu  Před rokem +1

      With the packing cubes I was able to fit about 7 days worth of clothing for my son. The light is a RGB tube light I got from Amazon but doesn’t seem to be available anymore. These are a bit pricey as they’re meant for videography work. This is close amzn.to/3CzRDoY

    Did Southwest give you trouble for setting the suitcase up as a bed? United now has a warning on their website that no seat extensions of any kind are allowed and to immediately tell the flight attendants if you see any of these.
    I also heard from a lot of other parents being told on numerous different airlines to remove any devices that make the seat longer for their small kids (most used one of those inflatable pillows that can be used to extend the seat but I also heard from someone using the trunki, who was told to put it back under the front seat when she tried to use it for her kid to rest her feet on and sleep).
    Seems like quite the investment with the uncertainty if it can even be used on a flight 🤔
    We'll be taking a trip in a couple of weeks, so I'm really happy to have your travel tips series to check out 👍

    • @kevin-lu
      @kevin-lu  Před rokem +5

      Southwest has no issues. They have list of airlines that have been assessed and approved. United is not on this list, but Southwest is. jet-kids.com/approved-airline-list/

    • @ronjab4586
      @ronjab4586 Před rokem

      @Kaisan Huynh It really depends on the airline it seems. United specifically mentions it as prohibited on their website. But also any other devices like it, including the inflatable ones. Since we pretty much always fly United (there are only two airlines flying nonstop the flight we fly most), it's not for us.

    This is good idea, but at $229 now, don't think it's worth the investment, specially when you can only use it for 3, 4 years.

      Everything seems to be getting more expensive these days. $229 is much more steep. Possibly better if you have multiple children and pass it down to another.
