Tesla is not being honest. Things you should definitely know before paying for advance features.

- It's bad enough to pay 6,000 dollars and not get the features you paid for. Now Tesla wants 100 dollars a month to put me in a queue to receive full self driving beta. Pay a monthly subscription and not provide the service. The Tesla app says Full Self driving and my car says it will be available in a future update. Pay 100 dollars to eventually get it. Crazy. Spent an hour on the phone with Tesla employees and will not give me my 100 dollars back and can't tell me when I will get what I paid for. Actually they do not even have Full Self Driving like the app says.
Here is my email from Tesla:

Already had Autopilot while navigating. When I signed up said Full Self Driving. Nope. One representative told me to enjoy other features.
at least they are friendly when you call.
Yes they are. Love so much about the car. Just wish when you pay for something you actually get it. 3 weeks later still does not work. If you use self driving pay close attention. It's great 98 percent of the time. 2 percent of the time mine almost makes your heart stop. I have never experienced fantom braking. Right sharp turns are very scary.
@@Lonestartroy1 I would look into the Hyundai Ioniq 5 with a openpilot system from comma ai if you want a car with a reliable self driving that is chill. The Hyundai also drives much better as a regular car and you can adapt the regenerative breaking in levels and even turn it off and coast much better then a Tesla can with one pedal driving. The quality of material is also on a higher level.
Good to know. Thanks
Sorry to hear that. It may be that FSD Beta has not rolled out in your area to the extent it has in the Bay Area. I've been a Beta tester for a while now and I can tell you that it's great and I rely on it everyday on my daily driving. When you start hearing that people in your area are readily getting FSD Beta access, then I'd highly recommend that you sub for it.
The app is miss leading. Stays parked in my garage 95 percent of the time hooked up to wifi. I was getting updates weekly until I paid for full self driving. I'm about 4-5 updates behind.
What year is your model? New 2023 onwards Models with Highway 4 cameras do not have FSD Beta, because the current updates only support HW3.
2023. Not even 2 months old.
@@Lonestartroy1 Ah theres our issues, fsd beta is unsupported for your vehicle as of right now. Unfortunately HW4 is yet to be part of the fsd beta program. Right now you'd only have features from enhanced autopilot. Summon, autopark are also part of these "camera only features" that hw4 is yet to support.
@@2T9E So Tesla sold me a feature they can't provide. Really gives me a warm feeling inside. No where in the App when I purchased it did it say that.
@@Lonestartroy1Unfortunately it’s another one of Tesla’s “waiting game”. Waited for like 2 years just to receive FSD Beta for me. FSD Beta and other features for your vehicle should be added through software updates to your vehicle soon though. What’s your current software version?
@@2T9E 2023.20.9
If they gave a sh1t about customers, they would’ve coded in the logic to prevent you from subscribing if you’re not on the right firmware version and display an explanation of what firmware you need to update to before being able to sub to FSD Beta.
Totally agree. Thanks for watching.
Tesla called today. Apparently my car since it is new does not currently have the ability to Full Self Drive beta. Do not pay the monthly subscription if you have the 2023 model. Think it would be crazy to pay 15,000. 2023.20.9 is the latest software available for the newer car. All these new features are for older cars.
You paid for fsd without an fsd computer…..
They claim it is. Car info says it is. Just needs software update I'm told. Just rubs me wrong that I paid for a feature and did not get it. Now they want me to pay for it monthly and they say I will eventually get it. I'm in a queue to get it and told if I cancel my subscription then I'm taken out of queue and will not get the update. Thanks for watching.
It’s not an FSD computer issue. The issue is that they process the payment even if you’re not on the software version required to run FSD Beta. Also, the vlogger got double Musked cuz Tesla is currently selling Enhanced Autopilot on cars which don’t have USS, which means you only get the auto lane change and navigate on autopilot features of EAP. You don’t get basic summon, smart summon, or auto park. The irony is that with an older Tesla you get all those features of you buy EAP because they’re USS equipped. For instance, I have a May 2021 Model Y and all the EAP features are enabled because this build comes with ultrasonic sensors (USS) which basic summon, smart summon and auto park all depend on.
@@AidPast They tell me I will eventually get the summon and parking features. No ETA though.
I've experienced all of these issues in this article.
