I just use aircraft paint strip
you can use a power washer and set beam type to Narrow. then set it just under a high pressure number then get up close to the car and boom. you cant overheat metal with water

What RPM would you recommend when using a stripping wheel? My angle grinder can only be adjusted down to 2800. I'm worried I might overheat the metal.
AJ G it really depended on the type of materials your takimg off the body filler got sticky if it was a high rpm. and the stripper wheels eont over heat the metal.
What grit were you using on the pad ?
Is there any issue with heat transfer to the metal, risking warping the body?
PavlosP i tried this on a chevelle fender and I didn’t notice warp, but i stopped when it got HOT HOT. It gets HOT quick.

That would be clockwise my friend. Just wanted to say for those who used chemical stripper or those who chose to put a scuff pad on some sort of clockwise orbital device it's whatever works for you either way removing paint is bad on the environment using stripper gives you a better mean to clean up and control your waste vs say slinging paint at your sounding neighbor tho chemical fumes are very harsh either way don't be that person that doesn't do the job safely when it comes to removing paint gloves safety glasses and by all means a respiratory. Ppe is very important most things we breath in takes years to have a effect don't be the person finding this out to late
