When I tried to pair it took forever and still didn't work and still said it was looking for the meta quest 3. Do you know what can be done about it?

My meta app says my pc doesn’t meet requirements, even tho I have a a razer blade 3080ti lol? Not sure if it’s taking my onboard gpu when it scans. Also my pass through is really grain compared to footage I’ve seen on CZcams
So far Im only able to set up one room with spacial setup when I go to another room it doesn't remember it and I need to scan again losing the last room I set up. Is there another way to get the device to have more than one room

Don't pull the headset on over your head from the back, *always go face first into it* and pull the strap over your head to the back so you don't drag the lenses over your hair.

I just got my Quest 3, im settings it up, but my room looks fuzzy, it doesn't feel normal, feels like its broken ? Is this normal. Like the graphical menus are fine, but my pass through, the reality part of my room looks fuzzy, Can anyone help ? Is it broken ?

One question I haven’t seen addressed by anyone is if the Quest 3’s faster processing will reduce motion sickness for those that suffer from it
Honestly, it all depends on the individual user. I don't think faster processing has any noticeable impact on improving motion sickness. Really the only method of getting used to it is through gradual exposure. Many games will have some measures to help reduce it, such as how you move in the virtual space - but it doesn't help everyone.
I personally keep the room at around 16 degrees Celsius and have a small fan blowing a stream of air towards me. That seemed to be helpful to me when my motion sickness was particularly bad.
Man I've just ordered my quest 3, first time I ever heard someone talking about sunlight on quest-3 lense, thanks for heads-up. Now I'm aware sunlight is mortal enemy for my future quest 3. Thanks a bunch!!
The Meta support site does say that sunlight can damage your lense, but I have some doubts about that. Still, it would be best to avoid it since they specifically say to. But, they do not specify which Quest that applies to (not that I saw anyway) and I can tell you for sure that I have used my Quest 2 outside many times while workin in VR when I travel (probably at least 50). The only issue was that depending upon how bright it was at the time, it was very hard to do hand or keyboard tracking. That made it nearly impossible sometimes. It seems unlikely to me that sunlight could even get into the Quest if you were wearing it, it's not made of glass or see through plastic and I can tell you that it blocked the sunlight when I did that. There may be a little bit that leaks in around the side, but not enough to say so. I know they say it, but I just don't see that being a real issue. Still though, I would do what they said until the new model comes out and I don't care what happens to the Quest 3. I didn't have the same concern with the Quest 2 and it works just fine after using it outdoors for more than 2 years off and on.
@@michaeldurkin8659 It's not necessarily taking your headset into the sunlight that's the problem: you can still wear it. It's if you take your headset off and have the lenses in direct line with the sun. This also applies for say.... sitting your headset inside somewhere. It's best to keep it away from windows where direct sunlight might shine through (I'm not sure how damaging it would be with the glass filtering the rays, but I personally wouldn't take the risk). Think of it this way. The lenses on your VR headset are basically two magnifying glasses. They can take in the sunlight, put it into a fine point, and practically burn your display. A couple of seconds is enough to leave permanent dead points in your display (though still usable) but anymore and you risk your entire display and maybe even circuitry behind it being damaged beyond usability.

It's a standalone headset it's not like HTC vive that needs PC but meta quest 3 headset doesn't need but if u want to play pcvr games then u need a pc

I got the 512 gb model of the quest 3 how do you redeem meta +?
Same here and I'm already thinking about returning it. Nothing on how to redeem meta +, and just seems like a very basic device. I start one of their game apps, and every time I even hit any button it resets me back to the beginning. Turns on automatically after I turn it off, and the adjust roller button is very stiff (unlike in the video where it seems smooth). Seems like a POS over priced device, with the "give me more money" attached. Reminds me of Madden.
@@Mcnooblet the pre order stuff is redeemable on the headset, theres no need to enter any information. just go to meta+ in the headset and start the 6 month sub. do that for asgards wrath 2, too. I was able to figure that out on my own but it is actually said on their website. as a quest 2 owner its a huge upgrade and feels MUCH nicer. the roller being a bit stiff seems good because you cant accidentally change it by a lot mid game if you brush against it. I feel like you just are having a lot of your own issues and blaming it on the device. the turning on automatically after turn it off is actually just it displaying the charging if you are putting it on a charger. or maybe you just put it in sleep mode, not fully turned off. it doesnt just turn back on by itself unless its in sleep and has been moved.
as for it being over priced, are you kidding? for its price compared to all other VR, its insanely affordable.

I need glasses to see, how should I approach getting a VR headset? Do i need to already have prescription lenses for this headset? Can I go to my local costco for it?
If you have glasses then you need to buy them online. No need to buy anything if you don't have glasses
There are prescription lenses you can place over the existing lenses in the VRHeadset, however these aren't actually necessarily. If I recall the Quest 3 headset is adjustable (extends out/in) to allow for you to wear glasses while wearing the headset. It's not very comfortable, but it's doable. :)
The Quest 2 comes with a separate attachment you can add to the headset to give the same result.
Just be careful as the lenses are easy to scratch and glasses are one of the top causes of this. I recommend the elite strap (or 3rd party strap) to keep the headset more secure in place to avoid accidental contact with your glasses.
Noob here.. are speakers in the headset .. if not can I connect wireless to my phone or does the headset take the Bluetooth spot?

What if my window is open and I look outside for a sec and look away by accident. Do I have to close my blinds? Will my room light affect the cameras?
As long as no sunlight comes inside the lenses, it's fine.

It does not have to be direct sunlight. Keeping it in the case is optimal safety control. And if they happen to hack the cameras at least it’s blinded 🎉
Meta does not make it easy if you already have the app on your phone and another Quest already configured. I'm still hunting around for the option to pair my new Quest 3! Total nonsense.

When you click the Feed icon on the bottom of the app screen (usually the default screen)...up top is the current Oculus device it's connected to.
Click on that button and all of your devices show up in the list, along with the 'Connect new device' option.
Now that they have several devices, they should have the 'Connect new device' wording right on the that button (on top of the Feed screen) underneath the currently connected device.

@@voodoodevr-en It took me 3 hours last night to setup the Quest 3. Long story short, Quest 2 only required a simple log on into a facebook account then done. Quest 3 requires an external device to log on with a code and theres no other way to get logged on by just using the Quest by itself.

Prior to 2022 - setting up a Quest 2 REQUIRED a Facebook account. Maybe that's easy for those who already have a Facebook account, but for those who don't that meant having to go through the lengthy process of setting up a Facebook profile.
Nowadays a Facebook account isn't required, only a meta account is. It's as basic as setting up any account: name/email/pass - done. Optionally you can still link your Facebook account to your Meta account (which is probably what you should've done while using the Quest 2 which would've circumvented any account related issues on the Quest 3, since you can use the exact same account).
For the record, Facebook account linking was very unpopular as you were being forced to get involved with social media which isn't everyone's cup-of-tea (I haven't used Facebook in 8-9 years - horrible data mining website). That's why with the Quest 3 it was done with by Meta.
An external device (e.g. Phone/iPad) has always been required to setup EVERY occulus/meta headset. You, or someone else, MUST have used a phone or something that can install the app in order to setup your Quest 2: there's no way to bypass it. You need to enter that code. I remember myself having to buy a new phone to setup my Quest 2 because my old piece of junk had compatibility issues with the app. It wasn't fun or easy.

They are, saw on another review, can't recall which channel, but they do move and are less rigid than the 2.

I'm preordered up with an elite battery strap bit if i cant get the arms to move I'm in trouble

meta quest 3 is my first VR headset, but I can't deny I'm a bit disappointed about the sharpness in some areas of the image, for example, the hands and controls looks blurry, I can't distinguish the letters from the buttons, is this how VR is? because all videos that we seen on the internet is the one that you cast to a monitor and does looks perfect, but is not the reality that we see trough the lens.
You mean the passthrough mode? Yea, it's pretty grainy. The regular VR mode shouldn't be blurry. In the context of older VR sets, it's very clear.
Try fine tuning and adjusting the eye distance and also try to use the function to move it further from your face
