I know this was hard to post. I think it could really help someone else in a time of need, though. To see the struggling that others go through. To associate and find common ground... it will help and allow others to feel and heal. I applaud your bravery posting this.

I found your channel because I was on Tyler’s Facebook page. My brother and Tyler were roommates when they played football in college. Stay strong 💕

It’s been hard. Still. It’s just hard losing one of my best friends. Thank you for your kind words and support. It means a lot.

I admire your courage with this, Zak. Exposing your emotions like this on the internet is a terrifying thing to do, but like Monkey said, it can help others who might be going through the same thing. Death in of itself is a horrible thing, but when it is willingly forced upon oneself, it is especially soul-crushing. Please, take as much time as you want to heal over this.
For anyone who has ever considered suicide, I beg of you to reconsider. I understand how you might feel, how suicide seems to be the answer to just end all of the pain, that you will no longer be a burden to anyone else and that the depression will no longer be a burden to you. But understand that suicide is not just an end to the pain--it's an end to everything. It's an end to your own happiness, to your future, and for a potential to live a life completely free of depression and filled with happiness. It's an end not only to your own future, but also the future of your family and friends, who will think late at night twenty years later if they murdered you, if it was all their fault, screaming and wailing because they were never able to console you or love you in the ways you couldn't even imagine. It will be a perminant scar throughout their life, something that they might never get rid of, because they will be wrecked with the grief and sorrow and misery of losing you.
There is a better end than just the black nothingness of death. Believe me, I know what depression is. I know how it weighs you down. I know how you just stop caring anymore, stop trying, stop eating, and stop living. There is no point to living if you can't even enjoy it, right? But find someone. Tell a trusted friend or family member that you're suicidal. They'll help. Usually suicidal people can't help themselves because they already don't seem to want help. But try it. Find help and get them to do the hard stuff for you. It works, trust me. I haven't been depressed for seven straight years because of therapy and doctors. It all started because I finally told my mom that I had been depressed for two years. My brother was temporarily suicidal. I have experience and I know that there are only two results: death leading to unending sadness, or life leading to therapy, relief, and finally joy. Please, make the better choice.
