  • Hello everyone,
In this video I'm continuing with the Daytona series and installing new bearings in the swing arm, links and rear hub. In the next video I'll be putting everything back together.

Subscribed. This series has been very helpful and entertaining to me. I'm starting the tear down of my 99 speed triple. Thank you very much for filming all of this. I am curious about the playlist showing 1 unavailable hidden video.

Watched 12 of the videos in this build. Do you think it’s possible for a guy learning to fix one of these bikes? I saw one for sale and would love to get it going

Hey there. Thanks for watching the videos and for your comment! 🙂 Yes, I believe people can easily learn and get good at something they are passionate about. You will probably make a few mistakes along the way and question your life choices several times, but that’s part of the experience.
A good service manual might help you as well 🙂

Nice work! How much did all the bearings total up to if you don’t mind me asking

Hi Simon. Thanks for you comment!
From memory, the bearings, seals & the inner sleeves where about £280 from memory, but I can double check that. The bearings are not too bad, but those sleeves are quite expensive. And because this bike was neglected they all needed to be replaced. You can see in the disassembly video in what sort of state they where.

help... im struggling to take my bottom linkage out.... triumph forums not helping... fowlers have no knowledge as the bike is a 1987 model and they have lost all knowledge of how to strip these down.
