Great to see you painting again Marek. It’s grey and dull here at home, so the perfect day to create. I think ladybird books were produced in Loughborough. When I used to travel to London and go through Loughborough station there was a huge enlarged illustration from one of the their fairytales., saying ‘. The home of ladybird books’. Really quite special for a child of the seventies. Great result by the way, I’ll see if can make the winning bid…Robin
Maybe there is a ladybird museum somewhere, it would be a great place to visit.
I have no idea why CZcams decided I needed to watch this but I'm glad it did!
Now I have to go Google Ronald's work... I have several Ladybird books from my childhood so I wonder if he's hiding in there...

All those trees & not a single magpie or pigeon in sight, a fine painting indeed. I wonder if Mr Lampitt went for a skate & wanted to capture the moment or he just dreamed up the composition, either way, pretty fantastic.

“Maximum bonjour” is a genius phrase and I will be adopting it from today. I do love these Marek, as they always gives an insight into your inner narrative. Y'know for 15 minutes that didn't turn out too bad! Especially those shadows on the trees in the background. I might try this one myself.. With a few more minutes added lol

A mediocre but thoroughly welcome return of your arty skills. I loved the Ladybird books. My mum used to buy me one each week when we went shopping as they used to have them by the checkouts in the Presto supermarket and I always chose a book rather than sweets. Favourites were the Little Red Hen and Ginger's Adventures. Nice one 👍
You were a wise child going for the books! I have been enjoying trying to find all my old favourite books on eBay and World of Books.
