- Well, it all over and he is settled into his dorm. Tomorrow is the first day of classes and I have been working on handling some business for him since I left. From trying to figure out how he is going to get to the store and get a new laptop to (it was lost or stolen) and more. But we are getting there!

Exactly!! My son leaves in 3 weeks and we aren’t able to fully physically see their rooms until the day of move in via covid19
Oh that's going to be tricky. Have you tried doing a CZcams search for that college? Also try searching for the name of the dorm. You will find tons of female move in vlogs but you can see the rooms & use that as a reference. Good luck and I wish your son lots of success!!

I seen many families there moving in; as i watch many of the videos of move ins... i wonder did i see them... my son is a Second year student at NCAT... and i was trying to hook up his room; but he said no... because he want it to feel like home...natural and normal with being 12 hrs away... this year was different; he has his own car and able to get around... I love your Decorations; makes me wanna go back down there and redo what i did do... lol... but i know the room would not stay the same...... Tell your son to have a Awesome School year!!! Loved this. My son graduated from Garner Webb last year & watching this brought back memories! I pray God's best for your son. You have done a great work & I know you are proud, Hope you are a wonderful Mom but God knew you would be tgat's why "He chose YOU". Trust "HIM" when you are worried about your baby. I have 3 boys. My oldest is 16 and we were just talking about colleges and what his plans are after High school. Although emotionally I am not ready for that step, I know he will do great. But, thank you for sharing with us. There's not many videos that show a guys dorm room, so thank you.

Am sure he will do just fine. He still has time to grow until he is off to college. I felt that way but I had to trust that I raised him right to make great decisions and take care of himself. It is amazing how much they continue to grow and mature within a short time frame. I made a list of things I wanted to talk to him about and make sure that he knows beforehand. I also had to tell myself if we didn't cover everything he will be just fine and he will learn on his own. You got this Mommy! Blessing to you and yours! Thanks for watching!

Someone stole his laptop? Ugh ... Can you claim it under insurance? At my son's college they have all the larger items serial numbers listed with campus police ... not that that would stop a thief ... I hope no other problems. Your son's room reminds me so much of my son's room back in 2016! Same gray sheets and black comforter ... and the Big Lots storage bin organizer ... the lamp ... trust me ... by next semester he will only take half of the stuff ... by the junior year everything will fit in the room with plenty of space. Awwww I was the same way with the desk organization and setting the closet up just so ... watch ... when you go back the bed will be unmade and the drawers will be empty ... and a laundry bag full of clothes to be washed! LOL Boys ... but we love 'em!
I didn't even think about that with insurance. That's a great idea there school had. They should have something like that in place at his school. Yeah unfortunately he had to move into another dorm because this one had mold popping up in the boys dorm room. He is happy because it better and newer, just paid the additional money today for that move. But surprisingly when I took him back to help get his room together it was all together and bed made. I was proud when I left him that Sunday. All these years he was listening. I was really shocked because I haven't stepped foot in his room since I left. I would just drop him off when he comes home and leave. I was afraid it was tore up so I didn't want to see it. He does have alot of stuff. When he had to move it to new dorm it was a pain without my husband help when he was transferred to other dorm. But because he was prepared he had stuff to deter off the mold and that his friends didn't have. I know what you mean already! Although he has told me he had what he needed and didn't have call or go to store like the other kids. Thank so much for watching!

Was the lamp tall or a desk lamp? The tall one was from Walmart they have them online to and they are like $7.88 something like that. The desk lamp was from Dollar Tree. They only show up at certain DT stores. Not sure why. If it was another please let me know. I will be happy to share. Tfw!
Did the college provide the microwave and refrigerator? Or did you all buy them?
The school supplied them. They were not allowed to bring outside cooking appliances. Thank you for watching!
