So… my hubby had to get an ultrasound of his testicles once. Was pretty hilarious watching his face when they pulled out the lube and applied a huge cold glob to his junk. Then after, the tech handed him one of those John Wayne paper towels, you know the ones; feel like cardboard, don’t absorb nothing, takes no shit off nobody ones, and tells him to clean up… I couldn’t stop laughing as he kept saying he felt like he just got violated, and hated feeling like he still had lube all over him. I told him it pretty much what every chick has to go through after getting a pap. 😂 Then a week of handling it like a champ jokes. Thankfully his man bits are ok 👍

I work at a hospital and one of the things I do is schedule diagnostic mammograms. Occasionally a man will have a lump or pain in that area and he gets scheduled for a diagnostic mammogram. So there are a few men who understand what we go through.

Copy that, sister. FWIW, prostate exams will humble any man. It’s as if for all of us aged 50 onwards, what little remains of our pride, ego, and dignity, are left in the parking lot when seeing the doctor. Fun times had by all.

I was bat shit scared because of stories like this. For all women who haven't gone through it yet. I had menstrual pain far worse than a mammogram. It's more a psychological battle than being painful. I went in there , kept talking ( verbal diarrhea,) to keep me distracted and when I left she gave me a coffee voucher. The people who do the mammograms , for them it's just another day, nothing strange. Keep your head level and you'll be OK.

I get mine done via a blood test now - no cough required. Do I feel a bit guilty given what my wife goes through? Absolutely.
FYI gents - I've had three friends get the prostate cancer diagnosis over as many years - if they catch it early, the outcomes are very good.

Ok I’m a man and I’ve had both! Mammograms by far the worst. I didn’t have any boob and they squashed it in there anyway. Prostate exam is a brief insult to my perceived dignity. I wipe the gel off and it’s done 5-10 seconds tops 15 to include gel removal

Will never forget explaining a mammogram to my last ex boyfriend by trying to explain placing his privates between 2 plates of glass then the plates squeeze you. His body position changed multiple times on the thought of it.😊 Sensitive body parts do NOT like being compressed period!

I had to have my balls sonogramed once. Not cool! She, the nurse, held onto them like they was trying to run away from her and raked that ice-cold device across ever inch of both of them. It was like I got kicked in balls for 10 minutes. Not cool! I sympathize 😉

Ah, yes, in the age of health scares. Done the all-gender Roto Rooter yet? Always fun. What bothers me is how people with colon cancer are getting younger. I'm somehow offended that the recommended age to start having colonoscopies is just about skipping GenX. Like, WTF? We can't even be the focus of health concerns? Heck, I barely hear "Are you of an age? You should be screened for " Heard it all the time growing up.

My first ever mammogram was when I was 51 years old. The tech did the test incorrectly, and I was required to return for a second time as the test was done wrong the first time. The tech still couldn't do the test correctly, so I had to make a 3rd appointment, but this time it was for a sonogram. All of this cost me almost $1,000 AFTER insurance. I was told that the tests were covered by insurance, which was a lie. I had to put the charges on a credit card and am still making payments three years later.
I can't afford cancer treatments, anyway, so I'm not getting another mammogram. If I die of cancer, then that's what I was supposed to die from, I guess.

I know what your saying, but I do hope that your comments don't scare a woman from getting a mammogram. Mammograms 100% save lives as a woman who was convinced at the age of 39 that I should have a mammogram without any prior history my gynecologist who convinced me might have saved my life. Take care ❤️

I told my late husband that they were thinking of doing just that testicle grams like mammogram for men. Since I was working at a hospital and was a former nurse he believed me.
He asked his cardiologist about it. He said I was lying and they'd never do that to a man. I told the doc geez take all my fun away. I was enjoying the look of terror in his eyes. I mean he went to my mammogram appt with me and said that doesn't look painful at all.
I wish his doc would've kept up with my joke, but the joke was on him. His wife worked with him and got on his arse for not playing along.

A month ago my third born son. Had an accident on his motorbike he went to fast round a corner on an English country road his front tire hit the sand and gravel that had been put down by some fly-tipper. He went down like a domino. The bike had kicked back and his balls were hit. Instant agony forget that he had fractured his foot also, his balls were like giant balloons black and blue from the hip to the top of his thighs. His father and I rushed to the hospital were he was holding what could only be described as a winge-athone. He turned on me and said I had no idea how much pain he was in as I don't have meat and two veg. So I sat down and described in minute detail my delivery of my precious son. 1 hour after been born I had the gynaecologists hand so far up inside I swear he was coming out of my mouth. The afterbirth had grown back into the womb so they couldn't get it out. After this precious gyno had every single doctor junior doctor and possibly even the cleaners to come take a look as they had never seen it before in that hospital. I was mortified in so much pain and losing a lot of blood I ended up in emergency theatre. By the time I finished telling him it he had shut up his mouth was hanging open and the nurse who was looking after him came across to me and said now you know why us females got to have the kids. If left to the males we would not exist.

You are correct, we don't have to have a mammogram done, that is the same as saying you as a man doesn't have to bend over and cough for the doctor. We also understand the importance of screening. Breast cancer at one time was considered an "older" disease but it is showing up in women much younger than the 60+ group. I was diagnosed at 31 with breast cancer and went through multiple surgeries, including a mastectomy (breast removal). I also know a woman who lost her life before the age of 40 due to breast cancer and leaving 2 young children behind. I totally understand Sherri's sarcasm and satire regarding this and applaud for encouraging women to continue with the torture we endure and endorse a mammogram. I think you missed the whole point of her video.
